To me that paragraph seems to contradict itself, a **** buddy/FWB by my definition is someone that is/was a "buddy" first, so the intimacy is and has always been there when its moved up the scale into a sexual interraction
When theres no connection or intimacy thats not what I would call a **** buddy, its just simply a ****, no more no less
But I soooo get where youre coming from (not cumming from even? ) re the intimacy, when you crave the mental, emotional and physical closeness of a "someone" as part of sex then having sex with someone however attractive where its just plain old recreational sex for the enjoyment of sex leaves you feeling more empty afterwards than before I find even tho anything serious would be just as unwanted at the time
Sex without some level of connection and intimacy/closeness is like eating food without any taste, its functionally similar but isnt quite up to scratch
I never get cranky or grumpy without sex tho, the less I am getting at any point in time the less I think or bother about it, and the more I am getting the more I want so I pretty much forget about it until I'm spending time with someone who reawakens those sort of thoughts and wants | |

We females have a bad time of it though. Certain times of the month, we absolutely MUST have sex, or we will go out of our minds!! Hormonal!(can't speak for those in menopause, by the way)
I think there are men who actually look for women in that type of situation, just to get laid. Not wanting that AT ALL.
