| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 11:27:57 AM | | Well, despite my last post, I'm pretty neutral about stretch marks. For the most part, I don't notice them at all on a guy other than to note that they're there. Though I gotta admit, they do have a pretty cool texture. I like running my tongue and lips over them to feel the smooooothness of the stretched skin contrasting against regular skin. But a turn-on? I mean.. they wouldn't decide whether or not I found someone hot. | |

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 11:35:27 AM | "Women get stretch marks, sometimes true, yes, but how many of you women kept fit while you were pregnant?"
OMG....I can't believe someone would be THIS stupid...to post something like that on a "dating" site of all things...yeah, you are gonna attract oh so many women
As a matter of fact...I did keep fit while I was pregnant...exercised every day, ate right, AND put lotion on three times a freakin' day...but alas I STILL got a few (mind you very few) but yes a few stretchmarkes....
sooooo, I guess that blows your dumbass theory out of the water!
OT: I don't think it is a turn-on or off....my boyfriend doesn't mind and we actually had a conversation about it when I brought up that it kind of makes me self-concious....I had to actually point them out to him, he laughed at me when I showed him, he said, "You call THOSE stretchmarkes?" And then kissed them!

As for the ignorant, over built as$hole who thinks he's a god and compares stretch marks to belly fat. You can build your body up as much as you want, but hun with no brain and an attitude like yours, you just make yourself into a very ugly person.

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 1:40:23 PM | I actually got something like stretch marks off of sitting in a particular chair hours on end. My dermatologist was even puzzled by it. Oh, I was waaayyy underweight too. Once, on some medicine I gained a lot of weight rapidly. Had some on my butt, and inner thighs. Still have the inner thigh ones, the rest are gone or unnoticable.
I see a lot of women becoming offended by people saying they don't find it a turn on to have stretch marks.Speaking for myself, I am not turned on by them. I'm not turned on by tattoos, piercings, moles, nostrils, elbows, earlowbs, necks, anuses, burn marks, scars etc. Doesn't mean I am turned off by them persay. In other words, I don't get aroused when seeing stretch marks, nor does it mean I lose a boner over it.

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 1:58:47 PM | | I think the offense came in with the use of the word 'detestable'. 'Not a turn-on' is one thing. 'A turn-off' is a turn-off.. no big deal. But the implication that women with stretch marks should be detested -- yeah, some folks got offended. | |

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 2:43:12 PM | I don't really understand what all the fuss is about... I have to agree with the OP from Magazine man, (which, by the way, he really does look like that, but he has to keep his face hidden in order to prevent sketchy stalker girls from this web site hunting him down). Stretch marks are detestable!!! I don't know any girl or guy that looks at themself in the mirror and says, hey look at these hot skin stretches that I have on my stomach, thighs, boobs, a55, etc!!!!! I doubt that there isn't a single person on this canadian web site who wouldn't get stretch marks removed if given half the chance. Props to you magazine man, and you can come knock on my door anytime, since this chica is virtually stretch mark free...
Must be I put down the cheeseburger and got up to change the channel :) (and for all you slow kids out there, it means I wouldn't gain as much weight, pregnant or not, if my body was more important to me than food or a baby... i.e. stretch marks really DON'T have to happen... especially not ones that change colors during sex... ewwwww)

I had twins, I ate healthy and I lathered my belly with Vitamin E AND Coco Butter every single night for 8 months, yet I got them anyways. I'll never be able to wear a string bikini, but I happen to love my kids more than giving a sh.it about my outward appearance to the likes of some of you.

I'm sure at 20, going to the gym every day seems quite reasonable while living with your parents, driving around the city trying to pick up girlies in your fancy car paid for by daddy.
However when you get older, and join the rest of us in the real adult world, you'll find that with a relationship, a full-time job and even later with children and other responsabilities, the time you have for the gym diminishes in huge proportions.
If you think I'm being condescending towards your age, then brownies for you.

This is quite possibly the most ignorant statement ever made on pof. Christ!
No. Stretch marks aren't a turn on. But, they aren't a turn off either. They are simply part of life for REAL women.

coming from someone with no kids.. and judging from the statement above.. maybe you shouldn't have kids anyway.. seeing.. YOUR body would be MORE important than YOUR unborn CHILD...
and a little advice HUN, stretch marks don't HAVE to happen.. but sometimes they do, sometimes its inevitable!!! can you believe that!! .. doesn't have anything to do with HOW much you eat.. you are gaining weight from being pregnant.. a mother is going to have stretch marks .. even a young girl going thru puberty can get stretch marks, IMAGINE THAT!! OMG!
but then again you are a VIRTUALLY(which means you have at least ONE) stretch mark free person.. I'm sure YOU understand it all..

| Stretch Marks Posted: 11/7/2005 4:01:06 PM | It doesnt matter what amount you gain during pregnancy. I gained only 10 lbs and still got a couple. It depends on your skin. Cant change that, its the only skin we get. There is no product in the world that prevents stretch marks 100%.
If you cant look past stretch marks, scars, imperfections or any other minor detail, then you dont deserve to be with anyone. Grow the hell up.

| Stretch Marks Posted: 11/7/2005 4:55:48 PM | Wow! All this passion over just stretch marks. Yet, mostly-people only expect perfection. I'd like to see a thread over, "eye lashes-love'em/hate'em" I bet death threats would occure in that forum.
I got 2 stretch marks-but i won't say what part of my body they'er on, either.
I've seem some people have them around their mouths.........so, you know what that means......?

| Stretch Marks Posted: 11/7/2005 5:15:58 PM | Brawny I agree with you...That was perhaps the most ignorant statement ever made...but she and the guy who made the"detestable" comment appear to be duking it out for that title | |

| Stretch Marks Posted: 11/7/2005 5:43:35 PM | | I can't believe this is still going on....as I stated before love your body for what you have...and for mr. 6-packer....I have dated body builders before and am willing to bet that you have stretch marks on the back of your shoulders near the arm pits.....and on the inner side of your arms.....I have not met any that do not have them there....and that is from "loving" your body too much.....lol | |

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 5:58:39 PM | Having seen them (stretch marks) on the last few guys I dated, one was a body builder, one did have a budha belly and the other couple were skinny, so go figure....who cares? That is unless you're shallow and superficial and don't have any funky little things like....skin tags, moles, small, challenged or saggy appendages (yes I mean guys parts), yellow teeth, crooked teeth, hairs in strange places, or facial hair that grows in, in funky patches. At least women usually earn their stretch marks in a noble way, birth. Get with it guys, nobody is perfect and if you fixate on the small stuff in life you miss out on the big stuff!
No 1 gross out: Shallow, conceited, superfical guys... Buy them a mirror, that should keep them happy!

Very well said callendargirl. I'm with you on this one. Any man who claws his way out of my bedroom because of my mommy belly, better make sure the door doesn't hit his bottom on the way out.

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/7/2005 6:39:03 PM | | My last GF asked if I thought her stretch marks were ugly. She was very self conscious. I told her that they were a badge of honour. A mark of motherhood. I would spend alot of time lightly carressing them. I told her that they were a result of giving birth, and how could anything be ugly that gave her something so beatiful. Besides, I noticed she was extra sensitive there, I loved lightly tickling her there and it sure drove her crazy. | |

Can't believe I'm replying to this but....
For the record I rode my bike daily during my pregnancy until I went into premature labour at 7 1/2 months(not related to the bike riding!). Keeping fit has nothing to do with whether or not you end up with stretch marks when you are pregnant. It has to do with skin elasticity. I have the misfortune of having inherited skin that doesn't like to stretch, others have the fortune of having inherited skin that does stretch well.
If women can past a wrinkly hairy scrotum, surely men can get past strech marks.
