Posted: 11/15/2005 10:09:09 AM | | They come from fast weight gain over stretching the skin ect. - they shrink alittle when a person loses weight...... the laser treatment removes them but is expensive . People that workout tend to get them most -that is why you do not see models with any scars they do not lift. Years of being skinny no weight gain ect. When they exercise they jog or on a stepper or treadmill ect - but once the mass increases- the stretch marks increase.

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 11/15/2005 10:35:32 AM | hmmm... my last g/f has stretch marks and i was somewhat oblivious to them! When you love someone for more than just their body... their natural flaws become beautiful as well! I have never met anyone with a parfect body! You tend to love the person unconditionally...
I guess if this is a serious discussioin... we should also consider scars, acne, one breast larger than the other, facial hair, back and chest hair.... genitalia! I think you get my point..
A more important question would be.... someone who has an issue with stretch marks.... turn off or turn on? or don't give them the time of day!
just one opinion... | |

i dont even have them anywhere but my back. i use to not want to do doggy cause i was embarassed by them but i got over that quick when i finally did doggy haha. i havnt realyl got any complains about em but i dont think anyone would say anything. its just too bad their permanent and in my case heriditary.

I'm not turned on by them.
No sh*t, jack. I'm not turned on by mine either.
The thing that annoys me when I hear these simpletons making rude comments about women's stretch marks is that some poor woman went through all that and probably has stretch marks herself, to bring his sorry little ass into the world. My they all have early receding hairlines and paunches that fold over. Oh yeah, and toenail fungus.
But fortunately, the little weasels seem to be in the minority.

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 4/8/2008 12:16:35 AM | rennlaa88, don't worry, they will fade. it just takes longer than 5 months. Think of a cut you might have got that resulted in a scar. If you are fair skinned, it probably looked red or purple for awhile then faded to close to your skin color. Same with stretch marks.
I do wonder if some of the new scar treatment stuff that you can get over the counter would be worth trying? It's basically only good for new scars, and yours are pretty new. You could ask an esthetician about it.
At any rate, don't stress about the bathing suit thing too much. You probably don't want to expose them to sun anyway. That's newly exposed skin there, vulnerable to sun damage.
Congratulations on your baby :-)

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 4/8/2008 8:25:47 AM | | Most people will end up with either stretch marks or scars on their bodies - or both. If the people really care about each other, they're not going to care about the marks. I have both and if that puts someone off - then they're not the one for me. | |

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 4/8/2008 8:52:21 AM | | I understand that certain changes happen to your body as you get older, but how is having a stretch mark considered a turn on?? I mean in the grand scheme of things it really doesnt matter if you are with someone and you love that person, but I cant imagine seeing a stretch mark and going, "oh yeah, thats what I like!!!!" Then again it doesnt gross me out either so... | |

Same with stretch marks im afraid im gonna have to disagree with you on this one. my oldest son is 15 now, and i got all of my stretchmarks from him, and they havent faded at all, they are still as red as the day i got them!

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 4/8/2008 11:41:10 AM | Stretch marks are special. especially form a pregnancey. It is like knowing someones laugh or scense of humor. It is a little part of them that if you are lucky they will share with you. When a woman who has stretch marks shares that part of her self with you she is trusting you to accept her for her and not judge her. They are character traits for her body. SEXY if she is ok with them. | |

| Stretch Marks, TurnOn? Or Gross Out. Posted: 4/8/2008 2:31:45 PM | | rennlaa88...We'd all like our flawless skin back....But if I had to choose whether I'd rather have my sons or a flawless body.....I'd choose my sons without a doubt. Just sounds ike you need to grow up! ......If you can't accept your body, how do you ever think someone else will? And most women's stretch marks do fade over time but I guess not all, as the other posted proved. I'd recommend keeping them out of the sun and/or using a high spf sun screen. | |
