No!…it’s that simple.

Crooked yes, neglected no way. Having good teeth is not that complicated; brush twice a day, visit the dentist every 6 months…it’s that easy and there is no excuse.

Just think what had to take place for the decay to get that bad……..I certainly wouldn’t want to kiss a mouth like that.

Hell, if he neglects his teeth……good luck getting the gutters cleaned out!

For the record, there is a state program where I live for dental work for those who cannot afford it. It takes place a single day each month, and first come first serve. Also, they don't put people under, some have had to endure a lot of pain. A friend of mine, it took over 2 years to finally get accomplished. He needed someone to take him, and they went every single month at 4:30 am and many times did not get served that day, then your next chance is a month later. FYI, I finally was able to pay to go under general anesthesia cause 5 had become life threating after the crowns had self destructed. Another guy I know that grew up here had a unique solution. The first time he started to have trouble he had every single one pulled at once. Probably saved himself many thousands of dollars over his life cause it cost him a couple hundred back then. I almost wished I would have done that.

Okay as a Guy Dealing with this problem cause of Family history Where my teeth rot and breakdown from the inside of the tooth to the outside. It s Hard. I brush my teeth twice a day and Mouth wash. Heck i even carry mouth wash with me at times. Dental care isnt cheap and im working on getting a new upper plate in. When looking around at getting new upper plate the price has gone from anywhere between 3,000 to 985.00 dollars. The 985.00 one you could only have certain dental insurance. Teeth problem can be a sign of alot of things cause as with me i was checked out for sugar diabetes which is a sign of is decaying of the teeth and loss of teeth. Test results came back that i didnt have it. So maybe have this friend be checked out for sugar diabetes. Plus you never know accidents can happen heck i have a female friend that slipped at work and landed face first and broke all her top Teeth and she went around 6 months with no teeth. Cause here is another thing with Me looking into getting the new upper plate. I have two options with getting the new upper plate. I can have the new upper plate put in right after the other teeth are pulled and go back two or three times and have them refitted each time or wait for 6 moths for the swelling to go away and then have the upper plate put in. So it is a toss up do you have the upper plate put in and keep going back and having it refit and have the thought of falling out eating somewhere or talking to someone and the upper falling down cause it is to lose or waiting and going around with no teeth in at all and having people look at you weird and not talk to you . Its not all laziness on ones part it can be Family history as mine is. Another Factor to think about is this : My dentist has and if you ask your dentist i bet you get the same answer to. It is better to drink through a straw than to drink from the edge of the glass. Here is why. When you drink from the edge of the glass what ever you are drinking has a faster way of attacking your teeth than with a straw where with the straw the drink has less contact with your teeth. Plus when you drink Caffeine (Mt dew, coke, hawian punch to name a few are the leaders in teeth decay cause of the high sugar content) drinks it attachs your teeth up to 20 minutes after ward. So i have changed my drinking habits no more Pop for me and i drink more with a straw.Between Work and raising a son alone and balancing life it takes time cause as many of you know trying to get a appointment for the dentist or Dr after work hours can be a pain. So before judging someone cause of bad death or anything WHy not take the time to find out the real Person and maybe there history and lend a helping shoulder of support instead of turning your selfish back on someone just cause of one fault. If You females want to be this Shallow about this Topic then Us men could be shallow about Weight Problems and turn away and not even bother to get to know you as well. But see As i know and have come to understand. Weight Problems with woman come from 1. Tyhroid problems 2. Sugar diabetes 3. Having kids. 4. Health complications 5.Eating disorders. I dont and will not be Shallow and judge someone cause of there looks Ill give everyone a fair chance to explain or tell what they want to tell. A Man with a Real heart not shallow and looks beyond just appearance . Ask yourself this question and see if it will hit strike a nerve. Take Christopher Reeds situation with being in the wheel chair and ask the question he did to his wife. I know i am not the same man you married so if you want to divorce me cause of how i am now i understand. The answer his wife came back with was this: Christopher Reed just cause of this i will not divorce you when i married you i loved you for who you were and i made a promise to stand by you no matter what and i will till the end. The outside appearance of any one of us or a loved one that is close to us Can change in a day or a heartbeat. Would you A) turn your back and walk or divorce that person an walk away , or B) Stand by there side and help them through it and love them just the same. I apolagize it is so long but struck a major nerve here .

Maybe in a perfect world. You're right, the victim is to blame. May as well blame cancer on someone for not eating the proper foods.

Just wanted to let you know that from personal experience, have the teeth out and the new ones put in immediately. I did it, several members of my immediately family did it that way, and my late husband did it that way, too. It's very uncomfortable initially, but none of us ever had to go back for a "re-fitting", and none of us ever had a problem with the upper plate falling down or out...lol. You'll be kind of sore for the first few days, and you'll feel like you've got a mouth full of rocks, but within a few days you'll really have trouble remembering that you no longer have "your own" teeth (lol, might want to watch out for sneezes for awhile. So, in my humble opinion (for what it's worth), I say go for it...get it all done in one sitting.

Hey, I'm in my "senior years"....do you mean I have imperfections now....nah. Those lines you see around my eyes and mouth...honey, those are laugh lines, not wrinkles...and they're there because I've laughed, loved, and enjoyed life to the fullest. The body may not look like it did when I was 25...would I want it to...nope. It too reflects that I'm a mature woman who has traveled a ways down the road of life.

You see, people see the mirror image of what you reflect...so, if you're self-confident and comfortable looking in the mirror, people recognize that...I happen to like the way I look...and you know what...I still get winks and whistles...not from just "old" guys either!

Don't worry about what you'll look like in your "senior years"....worry instead about what kind of person you'll be inside when you reach that point.

Sorry, No. I wouldn't date a guy with bad teeth. Good Hygiene is a must for me. I really think not taking care of yourself as well as your teeth is a big turn-off for me. I wouldn't be in a relationship with a guy with bad teeth, bad breath, yuk!!! Hey, it's my preference. How could you even kiss the guy on the lips, I couldn't.

not if they are gross and yellow and missing, crooked is not the greatest obvisouldy but you can't help that and I would still date someone if they kept their crooked teeth clean and their mouth was clean haha. Obviously great teeth are attractive moreso though.

I have dated a few guys who had "bad" teeth. I do NOT mean crooked, either.

Their breaths smelled like death, some teeth were broken, some rotted out, some missing with rotted cores. It was beyond nasty. Some actually expected me to kiss them...yuck !! Plus if they don't take care their mouth's hygene...what is the rest like?

My teeth aren't perfect....but they are clean, in good repair, I get regular check-ups and fix any problems that arise... it's called a payment plan.

I hear all kinds of excuses from guys as to why their teeth are bad. From fear of dentist, to they took care of their children first, to past drug problems, to their teeth aren't so bad, to ...I am being shallow.

Well....I raised my twin sons (now adults) on my own...no help from their "father" and I took care of their teeth...and my own teeth. They got the braces (I didn't) but my teeth are CLEAN and IN-GOOD REPAIR. I have always had a fear of dentists...and I still went.

Think of it this way guys.... how would you like to go diving on a girl who doesn't keep her "kitty" clean and maintained with regular check-ups and washing???

Enough said....?!?!?

I started chatting with a guy from a site and he had 4 pics posted... a nice smile in all of them. We chatted online and on the phone for a week before setting up a meeting. His back was turned to me when I got to our meeting place so I was quite close before he turned around and saw me.... and GRINNED... WIDE mouth FULL out and out grin. THAT'S when I saw the ONE tooth he had!!! Oh... pardon me... he had other teeth... but they were rotten spindles!!! and the ONE tooth he had was a big black rotten one!!! Needless to say I ended that date in a heartbeat!!!
Now... here's what bothered me ALMOST as much as his rotten teeth.... the guy claimed to have gone to FOUR presitgious universities... and also that he was a six figure income... and yet he didn't have the brains and money to do something about his teeth????????? (where's the puking icon when you need one???)

I hear you! I cannot understand that either.

I had a date with someone who had a great smile in their pictures... and then when I met them they had bad teeth.

I think it is misleading to post images showing a great smile when in person you have bad teeth. Why do this? It will only lead to disappointment for both parties.

yep... I don't get it... and then your left with the dilema of "do you tell him WHY you won't see him anymore? or do you just walk away and let the next person take the hit!! I chose to walk away because it was a personal preference thing... not a safety of all woman-kind thing... maybe some women are into that (good puking face btw Raven!!)

This is how I look at it. When we are all old and the looks fade as well as the chest, tits, asses cheeks, penis wont work (not that I've ever had to deal with that problem yet!) Basically what I'm trying to say is that when we all get old... and we will... you better like the person next to you in the rocking chair because conversation will replace sex, watching the sun rise will replace watching her ass cook breakfast, afternoon naps will replace afternoon delight, so if you base a relation ship on looks and physical attraction only, you wont be happy later on in life, So if you really like someone for their personality, but they are lacking something in the looks department just wait a while you will catch up because teeth will fall out over the years we will all loose our best physical attributes as time goes on so develop a connection with your mind and your body will follow p.s. I have great healthy teeth just for the record New England Patriot's Rule!!!!
