Posted: 11/10/2005 3:56:23 PM | Yep, ladybug~~ Which is why you hit the ole "nail on the head"... the tables have turned.. I'm approached by almost 100% younger men. And, I've had fun with quite a few of them... seeing live music, going to clubs, staying in and watching movies.. It's not just about sex. They have all told me the biggest problem they have with dating women their age is the "drama" part of it.. I know, there's women our age who have "drama" issues as well.. Guess it's not the norm though.
I"ve found the younger guys to be more respectful all-in-all.... The last guy I went on a date with, who was 51, acted like such a jerk, I couldn't wait to get out of the club. It was obvious from the start of the date we were not "compatible".. but he did not act like a gentleman at all, although I tried to be a "nice date"... the best part was the end of the night, when a very pretty, very drunk, 20-something year old girl came to our table.. He got all excited.. but then, she asked me to dance, not him~~ I had to keep myself from fallin off my chair...
Lets just say, he was ready to go about 5 minutes after that~~  | |

The dilema is I have been so spoiled and I do realise Im not getting younger, its just men my age TURN ME OFF, I cant help but compare them.
Today class we will be learning about "Contradiction", see how she demonstrates a dislike for men her age. And covers it with men of her age not liking her or being condescending, although she compares older men to more youthful men.
She likes youth, and her male peers do too. Them being the same age, does not cater to their mutual agenda.

Posted: 11/15/2005 10:25:22 AM | I have a problem with attracting males that are very young...like 19, 20-25 range. It happens a lot and I do feel uncomfortable with it. Yes, they are cute, appealing but the whole idea feels "wrong" and irresponsible for me.
As much as I may not like it , I will be 40 in 8 days and at my maturity range now I am wanting something lasting and meaningful with minimal waste of time. I'm not saying that a male in that age range is a waste of my time but I still can't find the compatibility with our ages. They often argue up and down that I'm being judgmental and unfair. I don't want to walk around in public having people think he is my son. That would be so demoralizing for me and make me feel even older...no one wants to feel older.
As far as men older than myself, I'm ok with a few years older but upward of 50 seems to bother me. I have a young baby, she is only two years old and many men who are in that age bracket are done having children and don't want the little ones impeeding their ability to enjoy their better years. I can't blame them for that. I'm told often that my personality is younger for my years.
What I seem to be lacking though are men who are more in my age range...like 30-40 age group...what's up with that? I feel that they would be a perfect fit for me, but alas, that age population seems to be low in my life experience. | |

Maybe I have limited experience...maybe I haven't met that right guy,,,, I am not limiting myself to a distinct age group. Although I do specify that on my profile, (35-45), in my personal life with one-on-one contact, I think it is usually the smile that catches my attention first.....then the personality....then I might ask how old someone is. If he is 25, I thank him for the compliment! If he is 47, I don't run away!!!!! lol
It just seems on this particular dating site, I receive emails from guys between 22 and 28 or over 55! So simply asking them to READ my profile first!!!! My goodness, is that sooooo difficult! | |

I think a sense of humor, being in touch with the "child" we all have in us, and knowing how to "really enjoy" life makes all the difference. Plus, I just saw a new study; 85% of people who live to be at least 100 years old are women, only 15% are men.. I guess we're doing something right.. Maybe it's the old addage, "Women are the stronger sex".... ((or maybe we're just more fun))~~
And, this wasn't about "lumping" all guys our age together.. We were only posting our experiences. So, for now, yep, I'll enjoy every minute of it.. When it ends, it ends...

I think we all have a lot to learn from kids... I have them around me constantly... ((not that I love it all the time))~~ But, I think it goes a long way in keeping me feeling young, and remembering that life is supposed to be fun at times too~ My daughter's friends say things like, "I've never heard of a mom who listens to Eminem">>>LOL.. Things like that.. Yet, they all call me mom. ((Don't get me wrong, I also know when it's time to be serious, and that's all a part of being a "grown-up". :))
We have to remember how to play, enjoy new experiences, and try to view life like kids do... | |

And quite a lot of 20-24 women seem attracted to me. Is it flattering, yes. But I take each woman on her own merit and don't bunch them into groups like the older bitter women with baggage and the wonderful energetic young women. I see quite a few women like older guys because of the exact opposite of what your saying. They like older guys because they learned from most of there mistakes and are more mature.
