| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/1/2006 3:29:37 AM | ROFLMAO.... DO WE??? OH yeah!! And the broken spoke... Love the broken spoke!! LOL That is the only reason why I don't like riding with patch holders, they can't go into alot of bars to have fun. My ex boyfriend that I rode ALOT with got killed this past year, so it's going to be very hard on me to go this year without being with him. But, I have to move on and go forward. I get sad at some bike festivals... but hopefully I'm getting over it. I hope so because this weekend I'm going on a poker run AND a Cancer benefit ride!! Sat. and Sun my butt will be on a bike!!! Can't wait either!! | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/1/2006 5:21:14 AM | Good for you girl! Oh, I need to correct name of the bike that "flys." Hope the owner doesn't read my goof... it is Roush not Rouche. And yes, that is correct. A prototype bike made by Roush. Have fun on the poker run. | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/1/2006 10:36:46 PM | I don't think much of them profiles with guys and their harleys. I have always avoided them. Need more substance I guess
More substance like....ummm. a freakin' mermaid and "prefer not to say" What the hell was she trying to say? More substance.......when I ride I think about nothing agree with above - everything is just OK. .....I'm sorry is that too simple for you "them profiles with guys and their bikes" have no more/less substance than THE profiles of others with their children or their pets. I'll take a man who turns into a boy when he wraps his legs his bike anyday over some guy that the average person (that is you Ms. Substance) considers a man with substance.
|
| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/1/2006 10:56:44 PM | | Would substance be guys with profiles of them half naked.. showing how beautiful they are? I'll take a biker over a exercise jock anyday.. at least they won't wreck while looking in the mirror!! | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/2/2006 9:45:01 AM | To the moron with the rebel guitar. You did what? 10,000 mi last year? What you did... I did that in one summer. So who is the real biker now? Just because we got snow this means I'm less of a rider then you? You're as stupid as where you came from and probably think everyone here lives in igloo.
Until the day you can go out in -3, kick start your own bike and ride all day... you ain't nothing but a little punk.
PS - We got all kinds of biker here, even the outlaw type. Next time you run into a Canadian biker, make sure you tell him or her that, you will be standing on the corner minus your little pissy ass bike.

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/2/2006 8:18:00 PM | @takingmytime
You don't know the times I've gotten on a bike and we were asking each other... "where you wanna go?" and I'm like.. hey... let's just head in a direction and stop when we get ready!!! That is what life is about, just being a little spontaneous.. and going with the flow!! I've rode from Tallahassee, FL to St. Augustine down to Jacksonville then headed up to Brunswick GA all in the same weekend stopping all along the way. Yep... sounds like fun to me!!

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/7/2006 11:41:40 AM | I just had mine out again yesterday......This is the mildest winter that I can remember here in the foothills of Colorado. The mountains are getting hammered with snow and we are just having nice weather down in the valley.
I am all for just riding and seeing where it takes you......point the front and let it happen. I just had a nice time riding up the foothills some and stopped for some coffee in Evergreen. Was a nice gentle ride and I look forward to the next adventure on my Harley.
OT......Many, if not most, of the Harley owners are very successful and educated individuals who know how to relax and let their hair down when on the bike. We can fit in the Harley fraternity with most and are willing to help each other, get to know each other, and be understanding of all of us and what we have when we ride.....
Just my opinion.......

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 3/4/2006 7:08:09 AM | | Up here in the Pacific Northwest, Harley (also goes for Victory, Indian, and Norton) riders are all shapes, sizes, and races. Their bikes are just one common point to a lifestyle they either adhere to, or (at least on weekends) want to emulate. Freedom, black leather, tats, roadhouses, sweat. Very different from the latte and orange goretex rainsuits (reflectorized, of course) of our merlot drinking cousins riding their Gold Wings. But I don't see race as an issue here, just lifestyle. | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 3/4/2006 10:28:16 AM | | Easy on the dirt riders there, trailer park lady! Ever seen anyone backflip a Harley? Didn't think so! Braaaaaaaaaaaaaappp!!!!!! | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 3/4/2006 11:09:59 AM | Sneaking in kinda scared to enter here.....
I was raised around all brothers so I had no choice but to climb on a mini-bike at 3 and start riding...45 years later I can honestly say I've had just about one of each from dirt to street to sport.
Never been on the back of anyone’s bike nor plan on it in the future, and I don't care what anyone rides - I appreciate all "riders" - whatever their preference. Have partied with the meanest and raced with the 'supposed' coolest, it's still two wheels and an engine and whatever brand someone chooses is just that - their choice to suit their lifestyle.
I presently own a dirt bike as well as a sport bike (crotch rocket – rice burner - whatever slang term applies) because I find them to be more comfortable than anything I've owned previously - when I hit bike week or any ABATE event I've attended - I take the joking but mainly enjoy the camaraderie of other people that share a passion for the road and their machine.
Every brand has their faithful followers

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 3/14/2006 8:45:49 AM | Those who don't like the harley's may not like the effect of the vibration it has when you straddle one ... LOL ... how do you spell repressed??? ROTFLMAO Just kidding My hubby and stepson build custom bikes (choppers and prostreets) for a living among other custom projects. I guess I have to say that Harleys and the like are the mascots (so to speak) of freedom Straddling that power and cruising down the road is really a heady feeling of being free as the wind. That's this blondes take on this subject .. LOL Wild | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 3/14/2006 8:47:34 AM | | AMEN Mesna!!!!!!!! You got that right ... Would rather be with a guy who loves the freedom of a hog than one who loves a mirror!!!!!! | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 4/5/2006 10:27:56 PM | UPDATE... the guy I've been dating... got ride of the yamaha and the honda... he now has...
A HARLEY ROADKING "Firefighters Special"!!!! He's taking it this weekend to have a new seat on it which means now I'll have a back rest, and he's getting my pegs raised up so it fits better!!! OMG... this bike is beautiful and rides like a dream...He is so happy and proud of it, and I'm happy for him. Now if I can just get him off of it long enough to play in the bedroom!!!!
|
| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 4/6/2006 6:39:24 AM | Went riding on a new Harley Roadking last night. Beeutiful bike! However, no butt-stopp (sissy-bar) and I'm not used to that, so I had to hold on to the rider. Nothing wrong with that -- but when he would move out after stopping, I felt like I was going to slid right off the back, so I had to hang on closer and he just roared with laughter! New experience for me--no back rest, not the laughing part -- but sure enjoyed the ride. | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 4/6/2006 9:57:55 PM | | Hey... I went all the way to Dothan without one on our first trip together.
