| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 4/19/2006 8:45:02 PM | You’re kidding right? When is the last time you have been on a Harley? I can also say what I want to say here because I own a vast amount of motorcycles. From Jap, British, Italian and American, it's all about preference and not one’s****size. And considering that sad state of affairs of this country, any time that I can support an American company by buying their products I will at any cost. BTW, my 2001 FLHTC has over 45K on it with nothing done to it except services and brakes. Harley Davidson and enjoyed a growth unlike any other in Amercian history; So listing to you while you're trying to validate your point is hilarious, like I said it’s all about preference. I bet you shop at Wal-Mart thinking that it helps your local economy. | |

Posted By: Guitarmanou812 Subject: What is it about Harley's? Message: I rode Harley's for years. I was a Harley snob. Then I grew up. I found out that there are motorcycles, that start every time hot or cold. That don't vibrate so bad that you can't see out of the mirror's!
I have a Kawasaki Concours now. The perfect bike. Quiet, comfortable, fast, goes 280 miles on a fill up, and hasn't needed any repairs in 10,000 miles. No Harley can do that.
I'm riding my "riceburner" to Sturgis this year (1,100 miles) and will hold my head high! And I will laugh at every Harley rider on the side of the road working on their hunk of junk!

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 9/20/2006 12:16:50 AM | | I agree. I loved the old bikes as a child. I really love the improved technology, customizing, and pure power of the the modern ones. Know the feeling of driving a convertible? The top down, feeling the wind, enjoying the view... It's 100x's better on a motorcycle. There's nothing more fun than riding thru the beautiful mountains or on back roads. Actually being able to smell the trees is wonderful. Motorcycles are a pure sensual experience. | |

Any bike is better than none at all.I've owned all type and liked them all even my first bike a 175 BSA Batam 3 speed i worked on that thing all the time as a kid but it was still a blast and nothin beats riding the open road!

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 2/12/2007 11:42:26 PM | My dad used to take me riding all the time on his motorcycle. I have fond memories of those times. It was loud, fun, and I enjoyed cruising through the different terrain and looking at the scenery. He had a Kawasaki, but I had a Harley tee shirt. | |

NO maybe about it, they are a awesome bunch.. Bikers are a different breed and I just love them..
yes, we hear those stories ..some are good, some are very bad
here's another heartwarming story from another side:

Wayne Kellestine..
the 'charming', 'roguish' biker who had a fit of paranoia and "offed" 8 (that's eight) of his 'bros' last summer (2006), & buried them on his farm.

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 11/11/2008 3:04:29 PM | | I haven't read anything here from a biker. Being a "biker" is a way of life. It's not a weekend ride to the hills or to the mall. These 2 day a week "bikers" crack me up.Riding around on their spankin new Harleys wearing the leather jacket without the slightest hint of a crease in it. They roll up to a red light and blip the throttle over and over again. Why don't they just stand up and shout "LOOK AT ME " ? When you watch closely you can even see them checking themselves out in the mirror. Sometimes i just want to walk over and whack these goobers upside the head. | |

| What is it about Harley's? Posted: 11/22/2008 5:53:19 PM | Ok, I will give my thoughts before reading all the replies, so it may have already been mentioned. Personally, motorcycles PERIOD are not a big turn on for me. Could be because I have known 3 people killed on them before their 30th birthday.
Not to piss off the bikers, I do know that a real biker has respect and knows how to ride properly, so I am NOT speaking of those people.
From what my males friends have told me, women like bikes because of the "bad boy" stigma attached to it. I have also seen women get all excited when they simply see a bike ride by. SOOOO... some men will say they ride, or will even learn just to get women interested.
