Yeah there is a point in having standards...and a point in being downright silly. Sorry but you need to be perfect if you require perfect in a mate. That just my opinion. I think some people go a little to far with their DEMANDS of what their partner should be...but to each their own.

Closed minded
If they hunt
If they think guns are cool

STDs or a history of unsafe sexual practices. I don't need to fall in love with someone and find out she's sick (even if she doesn't know it.) There are a ton of bacteria and viruses that may not show up in tests but they're still there. A person can't "test clean for everything." Just certain diseases.
Excessively overweight (i.e. more than 25% over my bodyweight, and shorter than I am). (I may make an exception if she's brilliant, tall, otherwise cute and has a good personality.)
Too concerned with 'fitting in.' Once you've seen one conformist you've seen them all.
Dishonest or disloyal.
"Party girls." This is more of a pre-emptive thing. It's the introspecitve,intellectual girls who tend to like me. I don't do the 'bar and sports' thing. Though I might compromise here if the girl was exceptional.
Kids. At this point in my life I'm looking for a lifetime partner and I'm not going to raise someone else's kids. Though I did date one really sweet girl who had a daughter. | |

There are plenty of women on this forum who are reasonably nearby, but don't appeal to me for any of a number of reasons... but I don't whine about it. You've been a big disappointment to me, too... pretty face, yeah, but a fat hog from the neck down and you smoke, and several other things. NOT A BIG DEAL. I just chalked you up as another corn-fed Midwestern female who doesn't give a damn how she presents herself. I don't require a perfect woman, just someone who's tall, slender, non-smoking, Republican, and likes guns & hunting. Beyond that, if she puts the toilet paper on the roller upside down, or squeezes the toothpaste in the middle of the tube, hey... I can handle it. | |
