Well, 23 years worth of smoking here but hopefully it won't be too little, too late for me. I feel fitter, healthier and have more energy than ever. Walking miles a day (dog doesn't know what's hit her lol!).
71 days free of the addiction now. | |

| I just quit smoking 4 days ago .......Any tips/advice? Posted: 12/2/2007 7:50:17 AM | For me, and I smoked for years, I cut a straw the length of a cigarette, told myself I was going to do it, used the straw as a prop for the cigarette, whenever I wanted to smoke i simply used the straw as a fake cigarette. It was a great feeling to draw on that straw without getting 2 lungs full of smoke. One day led to the next, get ready to implement an excrsise program, 2 benefits, you will feel better and it will help kill the weight you MIGHT gain from quitting. I quit drinking 8 years ago also....no vices for the most part... Good Luck, YOU CAN DO IT, WHO SAID YOU CANT !! You will feel so proud of yourself, that is worth it all.......

| I just quit smoking 4 days ago .......Any tips/advice? Posted: 12/3/2007 11:42:44 AM | the last time i quit ,,i never had any withdrawals ,,i was around someone who was on an oxygen bottle and still smoked ,, there lungs were a mess..it made me think ,,how can you still smoke .. you are just waiting to die..i never felt a thing stopping ,,just take a deep breath and feel that you are doing something that is good for your body ,,before its to late ..i got my breath back almost within a month ,,i started smoking again at a local pub a while later ,,had a smoke with my beer ,,and then in time felt stupid bumming ,,and then started again ..so stay away from smokers ,,its getting easier to do that now because most places wont allow smoking anymore..smokeing is more a routine then an addiction .. keep telling yourself that .. deprogram yourself ..think healthy.. i am going to try again this year .. | |
