| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 8:32:09 AM | The Pixies - Newcastle Mayfair, Christmas Eve, (I think?) 1990, my ears are still ringing. A good second would probably be Oasis- Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, in about 2000, or maybe Paul Weller, Victoria Park, London, about 1998. | |

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 9:50:17 AM | Pink Floyd , The Wall, Earls Court 1981
-- on a footnote recently saw the Australian Pink Floyd at Escot Park just outside Exeter. If there's any Floyd fans out there who aint seen them then I can thoroughly recommend you go. They did the full Dark Side of the Moon as the first set and then a mixture of old & new(er) for the second set. All in all around 2 1/2 hours on stage with lasers, full video show (with kangaroos inserted instead of the various pigs etc) & fireworks to finish

Snow Patrol @ 02 June 2007 was a pretty good gig.
Those are my favorite two gigs, Bon Jovi @ Milton Kenyes June 2006 comes in at third (I think! Been to so many gigs, choosing a third is tough!)

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 4:01:45 PM | U2 at Elland Road 1987, packed house and a brilliant concert. Oh how times change, Elland Road rarely gets a packed house these days.. | |

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 4:24:12 PM | The Motorhead 'Iron Fist' concert was amazing and I loved the special effects. I too suffered ear problems for days after, but it was well worth it.
My fave of all time though has to be the Madness concert my sister and I went to at the brighton centre last xmas.

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 4:52:04 PM | Oh boy this will be a long list but I'll try and condense it to the ones that really stood out! Jimi Hendrix was amazing down at 'Go To Blaizes' a tiny dance club/restaurant in South Kensington back in the early 60's. He'd just come over and it was the first time I saw him. I was standing talking to a friend when I noticed him playing guitar with what looked like his mouth? It had never been done before to my knowledge. The Byrds also played there and I still love their music. I used to love to go to the Marquee every week to see the Action, Rod Stewart, the Yardbirds, Manfred Man, Spencer Davis Band, Georgie Fame and the Who. I saw Roger and Pete last year in Leeds and at Harewood. How amazing after all those years... somehow even more amazing when they played the theme to C.S.I. WOW! PP Arnold in Paris sent tingles down my spine. She still has an amazing voice and I loved the gig in Hyde Park last year with Roger Waters. Over the years I've been blessed to see some amazing artists live; some of the most memorable being... Billy Fury, Gene Vincent, Chuck Berry, The Beatles, Cliff, Chris Montez, Bobby Vee, John Lee Hooker, Supremes, Rolling Stones, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Cream, Yes.... and in the country field, Danni Leigh, Martina McBride, Lonestar, Heather Myles, Mavericks, Reba McIntyre, James Taylor, Dwight Yoakam, Mark Chesnut, Billy Yates, Rodney Crowell and the amazing Keith Urban who I was so lucky to see at the Scala last year which was his best gig I think though Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush were good too. | |

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 5:02:08 PM | Radiohead at the Bridlington Spa a number of years ago now were absolutely top draw.
But I'd have to say the 1st Manic's gig I went to at Humberside Ice arena was top of the pile for me. James Dean Bradfield as a frontman has so much energy & the smaller venue for the gig really made it...as did the jumping around & getting covered in beer....well at least I think it was beer.

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/17/2007 11:16:16 PM | Has to be Download from Donnington this year Megadeth were awesome so were Velvet Revolver but for me , Iron Maiden finished the festival off in true style I might add I didn't even leave the house - watched it all live via the web cast from the comfort of my pc chair
One of the first concerts I went to was Blancmange at the Royal Centre , Nottingham. They were ok but the support group were amazing - The Housemartins, who had never been heard of until then

| Best gig/concert you've ever been to Posted: 8/18/2007 4:38:24 AM | Four gigs spring to mind:
1) Queen at NEC 1984 - the range of material (some from the first two albums) was incredible.
2) Queen at Elland Road, 1982 - the first time I ever saw them. My uncle, a Man U fan, described it as a 'second division ground for a second division band', but he's a Beatles fan - so what does he know?
3) Er........Queen at Wembley, 1986. The last time I saw Freddie - if I had known that the upcoming Knebworth gig would be his last, I would have gone to see both......
4) Queen and Paul Rogers in Hyde Park, 2005 - he did an excellent job of the songs, and it was a week after 7/7, so emotions were still high. It was arguably the most moving gig I've ever been to......and we were treated to a superb sunset around 9pm.
Honourable mentions go to Donington 1991 (AC/DC) and WASP at the Astoria, 1998
