Posted: 8/14/2009 10:54:45 PM | | To clockworkboy....so you think you dodged a bullet....I have news for you...some std's take years before they show up....including HIV....and for the ladies, HPV is transmitted by men , and is the leading cause of cervical cancer....men have no symptoms, but women who don't go to regular gyno exams will never know they've picked up the HPV virus until it's too late...and the sad thing is , it's the most preventable cancer if caught in time. | |

Let's try not to bash men here... it's not transmitted by men... it's tranmitted by both women AND men.... The way you put it, it sounds lik men are the source...

It was just the way I read it...
And in truth, men do have to pay the price for for it.... some men do get penile cancers from it... Also, I don't want to be in the position of watching a loved one die from something she got from a past sex partner, years down the road either...
I too have lost a friend to cervical cancer. She was quite young, only in her twenties...
My G/F may get it, she has had repeated problems and has to go for multiple smears each year.... She found out a while back that one of her past partners has tested postive for HPV(a woman). Apparently she knew, but didn't tell anyone. My G/F and I have both come up negative in repeated testing (we both get tested every 3 months) | |

According to the scientific paper from Contraception journal that describes this device:
Over a period of 7 years, broken condoms returned to a supplier (SSL, Durex) via consumer complaints were examined to determine the cause of failure. Also, some consumers who reported breakage but did not return condoms were sent a questionnaire on the causes of breakage. Finally, theories proposed for the mechanism of breakage were investigated on a laboratory coital model. RESULTS: Nearly 1000 (n=972) returned condoms made from natural rubber and polyurethane were examined. Visible features on those that were broken, were classified. Evidence combined from examining returns, questionnaire responses and the coital model strongly suggests a single predominant mechanism of failure we named "blunt puncture," where the tip of the thrusting male penis progressively stretches one part of the intact condom wall until it ultimately breaks.

Condoms is a MUST if I'm about to have sex with a woman I don't know.
So... Not all men are suicidal like the OP claims.

Penetration is only my goal if I really know the person well and know their history completely.

Do you know I am looking for sex? Do you even know ANYTHING about me? How many hours have you spent with me to know what I mean by "Other Relationship" and what I am looking for specifically?
Perhaps getting to know someone before you pass that kind of judgment would be easier on your blood pressure.
