1) bring life to da world through there yaya
2) make the decitions that make us save money and sometimes spend
3) (fav number) they control the kids, make the food, do things that some men cant and wont do
4) running short here, uimm, cause they are smart
5) they have feelings, and cause they are good.
ok thought i had more den that but thats what i came up wit and they also have the looks they can make a guy quiver and shake in his shoes, ooooo i foudn a good one

Posted: 2/2/2006 6:54:08 PM | Too many women, or at least too darned many, THINK they rule the world, when in reality the only power they have is what men have allowed. Just look at history, through the ages, it's always been might makes right. These days it's too bad woman have chosen to misuse the modern gift of social equality, which in turn some unwisely degrade to Femi-nazi behavior - which is something men really want nothing to do with. And where did this whole "better than thou" concept arise from....many people who make it a practice to dislike the opposite sex really need to take a long look at themselves and learn to like what they see before they disparage the opposite sex...who admittedly can be decietful and delightful at once...everyone, both men and women, need to be wary of disingenuous motives.
I'm still hurting from having someone whom I thought was a genuine lover show her true colors by having me sentenced to six months in jail because I made the mistake of being honest and loving - two precarious qualities to exhibit in this 'new millenium'. I've learned my lesson - which is to be careful to whom you are vulnerable, because our laws stack the deck unfairly in the favor of women.
And Linda, you may need to chill just a little, because no-one's trying to breach your insecurities...if you want to think you 'rule the world', that's cool. O'kay. You rule the world. And if that's the case, why are you doing such a shitty job???? | |

Posted: 6/8/2009 7:19:25 AM | sigh... more sexist BS, women don't rule the world. Women control men who let themselves be controlled, just like men control women who let themselves be controlled. Not all men are sex-driven Neanderthals like they are made out to be, not even by a long shot, and a lot of us have learned that trying to control others to get what you want, instead of just doing yourself, is childish.
Historically speaking, men have always been encouraged to be independent and think critically; this is the driving factor behind the fact that just about every scientific, philosophical and political advancements were brought about by men. However, testosterone only make men gain muscle mass more efficiently, that's it; we are the still the same species and neither gender is stronger or better than the other.
Being able to bare life doesn't make women gods either, a father is still needed for the conception and a lot more important to a child's upbringing then women realize. To say men aren't needed because of artificial insemination would be like saying women aren't needed because we could grow life in test tubes(not too far off actually).
A lot of the men on this site that aren't having any luck, either because they are "nice guys" or because they aren't assertive or confident enough, have this problem because there are a lot of women aren't confident or assertive themselves and are looking for a man to take charge for them.
However, the majority of those guys are this way because they lacked a father figure though and the real irony of the whole thing is that that the same women who only want confident and assertive men are probably the same women who encourage and support the "single mother" mentality.
Anyway, back to the original subject, women don't rule the world. There are probably a lot of feminists(by feminist I mean sexist and bitter women feminists not equality-seeking feminist) out there that like to think that they do... but they don't. Not to say that they couldn't because they can, more women are contributing to the advancement of mankind now then ever before but being married to a wealthy, significant or powerful men doesn't entitle you to his accomplishments.
I know most men will just prefer to let women think they are better instead of creating another reason to argue, this is probably why you have this double standard in society that it's OK(even often encouraged) to bash man but it's never OK to bash women, but some of us have no problem defending our existence every once in a while. | |

And let's face it, much of this power is sexual. It's really sad the extent that men will go to obtain sex from a woman. They need it as much or as more as we do, yet we're the ones who have to work to get it. For so many millennia, men were expected to pursue women, and this has not changed. Though women have obtained equal rights, they have been reluctant to give up this expectation of men. And we're the suckers who continue to give them what they want. Thus, there is an imbalance of power.
There are other ways in which there is an imbalance of power.
The court system is biased in favor of women. They initiate most divorces and benefit the most financially from most divorces. They also benefit the most from child custody battles. A woman can ruin a man's life with sexual harrassment, domestic violence, and rape allegations. But she is never held accountable for her actions, and the burden of proof is almost entirely on the man.
Though women have been allowed to serve in the military, men continue to be the ones who are expected to risk their lives on the front line of combat. Women are not required to register for the draft. Men continue to work in other high risk jobs, like construction and coal-mining, while women avoid these professions for the most part.
Women have the option of choosing a career or a traditional housewife role. Men do not have this option. There is also tremendous pressure on young men to move out and have a career by our early 20's, while it's more acceptable for women to live with their parents well past that age as they decide what they want to do with their lives.
Though most politicians and business leaders are men, women hold tremendous economic and political power. Even though they comprise just over 50% of the U.S. population, they make over 80% of the consumer purchasing decisions. 55 % of the national voting bloc is comprised of women.
Though it takes a man and a woman to make a baby, women are the only ones who are allowed to decide whether the child will be born. Men have no say in the issue and cannot opt out of child support if the woman decides to give birth.
Until these issues are addressed, there will never be gender equality, and men will continue to suffer for the power they've allowed women to wield over their lives. | |
