She ended up being like 800 or 1000 lbs, can't remember, but it was something ridiculous. The guy enjoyed taking care of his bride. She couldn't really move or do much. She finally lost weight and got down to 350 lbs. The guy said he was upset, but it was for her health.
Just recalling those images....very disturbing stuff.

Frankly, I don't really want a man to be attracted to me because I'm a "BBW", any more than I'd want one to lust after me if I wore a size 5. To be wanted only because of your physical appearance is insulting and degrading. Who I am is not the shape I wear, who I am is my thoughts, my opinions, my attitude, my outlook, my personality. If we were all vision impaired, then the way we look would matter not one whit! What matters is how we get along with each other, how we treat each other, how we respect each other.
And I really hate the term "BBW". My mind always tries to abbreviate the vocal pronunciation of it to something that sounds like "bubbawuh" and there's nothing about that sound that feels sexy to me. I'm fat. Direct, to the point, one syllable, easy to say. I wish they offered it as a profile description, because I'd be all over it like, well, like a fat girl on a piece of pie!
Wouldn't it be ironic if someday old veedub came down with a big fat case of Shallow Hal? I'd laugh my size 20 a$$ off.

The true definition of bbw (which stands for big and beautiful woman) is a woman who is larger is frame, taller in height and perhaps a little more curvy than the 'average' lady.
The sad part is that a lot of women (and there are many on POF) have have skewed bbw to encompass plain obese.
Having 4 chins, forearms shaped like a cured ham, legs that cause severe friction burns against each other during walking (or sitting) does not make a woman a bbw. It makes her fat with out of control eating habits and probably a points card at Krispy Kreme.
When one such woman tells you "it's actually a genetic disorder" she likely said that on her way out of or into an ice cream parlor or a fast food store.
BBW is a category of body (like thin, athletic etc) but sadly, it has been stretched (no pun intended) to cover just plain fat and ugly and that should be a category all on its own! | |

If some of the shallow people could look beyond body apperance and see the beauty the actual person holds, it might change your outlook on people. Who cares if your big, small or medium. Posted: 11/17/2006 12:18:41 PM | I used to be quite slim...now Im a BBW. I gained alot of weight during pregnancy, and havent been able to shift it yet.
Since carrying these exra lbs around with me, I have noticed the difference in how people, especially men, treat me.
I am still the same person as I was when I was slim. It has taught me alot about men though.
It has taught me that alot od men are very shallow.
I now know that if a man is too shallow to get to know me because I am overweight, then thats his loss and definatly not mine.
And a man that pokes fun at BBW's is just a child and definatly not worth the bother of getting upset over.

It makes them someone who isn't attracted to big women.
We all have to be attracted to a potential partner, and many people don't find obesity attractive. It's a preference. Nothing more, nothing less.
