| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/2/2007 12:15:07 AM | I think tatoos on women are super sexy, especially and pelvic or one around the navel. The whole target on the small of the back is getting old, so I'm not a big fan of them. I thin arm band is hot too.
But, tatoos on the breasts or neck are for me a definite turn off.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/2/2007 11:34:23 PM | I got a tattoo for the first time this year a month after i turned 30. and no it wasn't because i suddenly woke up one day thinking to myself that i needed to get a tattoo because my friends have them or because i like the show " miami ink" ( which by the way is a very cool show ). i've always wanted a tattoo but haven't had the nerve to get one until i talked to the tattoo artist and she explained to me what it would feel like.. seriously i'm DEATHLY afraid of needles.. but i felt like a paper cut and then after a while i just went numb.. but later that night i was online looking for more ideas or designs of tattoos because i'd like to get atleast 2 more..
the one i have is of a little cartoon devil lying on 2 clouds with his hands on his chin, he has angel wings and a halo hanging off one horn.. in the clouds it has my sons' names and birthdates. to me it is a sign that my children will always be with me..
now would i brand my body with a guys name??? ummmmm hell no. the only guy's names that are ever going to be on my body are my kids' names.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/3/2007 8:12:15 AM | I posted in this thread before but what the hell I'll be repetitive.
So many women today have tats. Especially younger women. It would be against my best dating interests if I were to feel like a woman with one or a couple tattoos is undateable, much like a dealbreaker.
However, tats definitely aren't going to earn points with me. If anything, points are lost and need to be made up for in other areas. I find inkless skin much more attractive.
Of course tattoos often have some sort of personal meaning, but there are other ways to relate to memories and past experiences and/or express yourself other than injecting foreign dyes into your epidermis.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/3/2007 11:18:05 AM | I have em... I love em.. One on each ankle, one small, and one that goes around my ankle... They are kind of girlie -- moons, stars, etc.. Fun bright colors,---- men, women, kids love them. I wouldn't consider putting them anywhere else, just my .02 JJ | |

Older women in their forties are probably trying to stay young and it's the second childhood that they missed out on sometimes. Yeah, I think men get a sportscar and women get tattoos in their second childhoods. I hear all kinds of after-the-fact justifications for getting them but there are really only one or two reasons that people get them.
People who are susceptible to marketing campaigns and social pressures are very likely to get one. They actually think it's a conscious choice that they've made. I think it's hilariously childish how so many women say "I'll do whateva I want".
Plus, most of the people I know started getting tattoos just as their self esteem bottomed out. As long as they were happy they didn't want one, then when they hit bottom, lost all self respect and started random sex with strangers, drugs, polyamory, and S&M. Whatever anyone else may think of these activities, I am not into them or people who do them. This isn't just an isolated incident. I've met about 20 or 30 people now who had tattoos and almost all of them engaged in those activities (I think 1 or 2 didn't).]
Stupidjack*ss,
Who's attacking whom? Read your previous posts and you'll see that you're the one attacking everybody who happens to have a tat. How stupid can you possibly get?Women of all ages get tats and it has nothing to do with "second childhoods"; I also suppose you've never bought anything at all based on "marketing campaigns"; and I can guarantee that anyone with tats has a higher self-esteem than you, because of having to deal with moronic a**hol*s such as yourself. People with tats know something you've apparently never figured out, it's our body, our choice, and people like you who judge, and make stupid assumptions about, others for no reason whatsoever other than body art are just a waste of space.

I don' t think it's just the 20-something generation that's doing it. I'm considering getting a small tattoo (I'm in my 40's) because I like some that I have seen. It's something that I have always wanted to do, but only recently thought seriously about it. I think one or two small ones are OK, just not into covering large parts of the body. That's my preference though, and people are entitled to do what they want in the end!

You seem to think it stops here :P With tattoos being so much in the public eye, and the quality of artists these days, it's a growing trend that I can't see ending any time soon. I can only see he next generation being solidly influenced by this one - already I have younger family members saying, "Hey that looks awesome, maybe one day I'll get some of those."

Why do people think that tattoos are to increase the "hotness" of a person? It's a piece of artwork
It is incomprehensible to me how eons of evolution priming us to derive attraction from smooth unblemished skin as a sign of health could be overriden by the desire to have art work seared into one's flesh. But what do I know? I wear a suit and tie. :-P

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/8/2007 12:11:33 AM | hahaha, I know so many suits and ties guys with tattoos - a couple with full body suits, which I personally am not a fan of, but it's amazing work either way. perhaps some people choose to look past basic biological programming? I mean, if people with acne can be found attractive, I don't see how tattoos are worse. As least my skin is artistically blemished. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/8/2007 1:38:59 AM | My ex has 2. I large one on an ankle and a smaller one on her hip. I don't have any myself, but I liked hers, and they in no way detract from her looks or femininity. | |

well acne is natural, tattoos arent Your point? Lots of natural things are ugly in the eye of the common person. I challenge you to find a person who sees a load of acne and goes, "Oh baby, rub those pustules of hotness all over me."

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/8/2007 4:03:34 AM | I prefer to call it BODY ART after all thats what it is..amazing pictures of art done by someone extreamly talented and arty on the flesh. What everyone has and why is up to them, after all its there body to do with how they wish. Some like some dont. But doesn,t that go for most things in life.? Were not all the same making life interesting also us as people too. I don,t have probs with bodyart and i also have 4 (small) ones. Most friends are amazed as i dont have mine on show except one top of shoulder of my birth sign SO when someone says 'Ow i dont like tatts' do they mean on anyone or just on them selves? I find im rude when see somone with lots as love to see what they have.. I also find it interesting as to why they had what they did...ok yea nosey as hell but hey interesting to. SO what you all got and why? | |

I even cringe when i have flu jab From family of Army and Police and none of em have body art. But hey! theres always one in the family has to be different...yup moi.. First was white dove..tiny size of £2 coin..nervous as hell thinking omg what if leg drops off but didn,t feel a thing. Quite dissappointed actually wheres this server pain i heard of? Didnt get the peeling but Blimey got the itchyness unable to scratch i was told not to do so found blowing on it was the closest i could get to scratching it like hell..but soon goes leaving you with an amazing bit of art on ya body. Second was Lady bird..size of 10p... nop didn,t hurt Third..2 dolphines riding wave sunset behind...ok ok yes hurt but not a omg im dying kinda pain, soon past when went numb PHEW! then the bugger went to answer the fone half way through and im 'NO NO COME BACK B4 I CAN FEEL IT AGAIN' Last one and decided want no more i desgined and even took folk for a family day out..as you do Crab on beach holding bucket and spade..Folks never been to a tatts and as i said after this no more they were curious Everyone has the wrong idea thinking there a dirty back street place. Some even have a cafe ect in them, hey everyone its 2007 not the 50's she even took a fancy to Muff the tatt man MOTHER BEHAVE!!
So if you want t go for one no it doesnt feel like rubber band flicking at ya leg fast leaving it burning.. But if its what you want then go for it.
