Do I find tattoos attractive or sexy? No. Am I closed-minded? No. Just because someone doesn’t like tattoos, it doesn’t mean they are closed-minded. I see a woman in a formal gown with visible tattoos, and it detracts from her appearance. If you want tattoos, go for them. Enjoy them. Just don’t expect everyone else to like them. And if people with tattoos truly don’t care what others think, which I don’t always believe, don’t be so touchy when someone doesn’t particularly like them.

I'd be upset. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2007 8:13:50 PM | Just thought i'd put this question out there. I've had a guy tell me that tattoos on women aren't attractive, that getting a tattoo involves pain, and therefore isn't "feminine". What does everyone else think? I don't mind a small tattoo on an inconspicious area but nothing more than that. I just find them a turn-off. It has nothing to do with the pain, for me, I just prefer natural beauty and tattoos are far from natural. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2007 8:23:37 PM | | I personally have 5 tatoos and love each and everyone of them....Mine started before the "fad" but I find some men like it some dont....i have a wrap around the arm and i completly plan on making it a sleeve, cause I want it, not for any other reason...People can judge it as they will and who knows i may look like an ass when Im 80, but the rest of my body isnt gonna be "hot" anymore anyways..big deal...my grandkids will dig it...ha!!!!...and I think sometimes it can be overkill..it depends on the personality of the person I feel...for even men as well, sometimes ill see tats on guys and think eww that really doesnt look too good...but its their bod, to each their own i say.....and I would even have blue hair if the business world would allow it, right Thomas??? :) | |

You are way better off without him. Didn't this CLOWN ever hear of childbirth lol. its just about the most "feminine" thing you could do. And I think I heard somewhere that it's may hurt a little lol.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2007 8:36:35 PM | | As for me I'm 42(male) and never even considered one. But like everything else it depends on The Girl, The Tatt and the placement. These days though everyone has them. Especially those over the butt. Why would you want to be like everyone else? So if I find a girl without one I find that unique and SEXY. One that I will never understand is the Ex's name. Why anyone will let someone "brand" them FOREVER with their name is beyond Me | |
|
| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2007 10:54:14 PM | I'm 22 years old and I have 3 tattoos. Granted I may have gotten them when the whole "fad" started but mine are original and special to me. I can wear a formal dress and no one will see them I got my tattoos for me, not for anyone else and especially not for a man. If you're going to get a tattoo, consider this:
1) This is going to be permanently etched onto your body, so be original. 2)Don't pick from the book, chances are, someone else has it too. 3) Get it done for yourself. No one else.
Thank you, & have a nice day

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 1:43:43 AM | ..Personally...I can't stand tattoos on women...especially the ones on their ankles. It always seems to just ruin the whole line of a woman's leg. And I don't get the fascination with tattoos either...It reminds me of going down to the department store...and buying a shirt or blouse that you're going to wear for the rest of your life. ...There are a lot of people who judge people by the way they look..and if some of them think like me, then why would you want to limit the number of people in the world that accept you??? Like I say....I just don't get them...probably just something to do with my age..... (47)... | |

Did you know...that when the Germans were exterminating the Jews in their concentration camps, that they would actually skin the tattoos off of their bodies and make wall hangings out of them?????

IF you want to get a tattoo not to 'follow fashion' but because it's meaningfull, important and representative of YOU , GO 4 IT !!! No MAN (and I dont mean guys but MAN indeed) will be repulse by something that is a PART of YOU !No men that matters anyway... So do what YOU want it's YOUR body and you have the ritgh to express who you are the way you want and feel it !
Take care, V :) | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 2:35:33 AM | I have one very small one (approx 1" x 1.5") near my right hipbone. It is very hidden, and was done to commemorate surviving injuries from a car accident that no one should have been able to.
There is a lot of meaning behind it, and I've gotten nothing but RAVE reviews (I think mostly because of the location, and because it's so secretive)
I hate, hate, HATE the lower back tatoo (I won't put what I usually call them) on 99.9% of women, and think it's grossly overdone, but to each his/her own :)
I think that tattoos in general (on guys or girls) just need to have MEANING, though I definitely don't like big tattoos on either gender.

Posted: 8/13/2007 10:52:00 AM | just an aside: health/skin problems are in fact RARELY beyond someones own control. your body is indicating to you and the world that it is out of balance. YOU must search for the imbalance, whether it is what you are eating (get your allergies tested), but many imbalances have a root in the psyche. do you hate yourself? tattoos being historically a symbolic marking of the skin to demonstrate that a person has achieved a certain goal, or is displaying ownership of one's body by another. I always wonder just what these tattoos symbolize since they do not change someone who is a total physical and psychological mess. all you've done choose to self-mutilation, and to what end? because you liked what it looked like up on the board of artwork? has this brought anything positive to your life? or will you just have a really unattractive saggy tat in 20 or 30 years?

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 11:07:24 AM | Personally, I find tattoos on women to be extremely attractive. There's something very sexy, seductive, and sultry about it, especially if it's artistic and original. I've seen some tattoos on girls that just drove me crazy, lol.
In the end, everyone will have a different take on what's "appealing" or "attractive" (that is, after all, why there are so many flavours of ice cream and colours of hair dye, lol) and what rubs one guys buddha will send another one running for the hills. Tats are an extremely personal expression (that's their very origin), so if you decide to get one, don't do it to be hip or cool, but just get it because it's an expression of who you are.
Anyway, that's my two cents :)

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 11:43:28 AM | | These days everyone seems to have a tattoo except for me and I like having a clean body with no tattoos, piercings etc. I always think about how it would look when I am 8O years old. However most men I have dated have had at least one and it does not bother me. Now if they had 20 I probably would not be crazy about it. I think people should do what they want and if someone does not like you because of something like that then you probably were not meant to be together anyway. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 11:46:05 AM | Personally, the idea that a tattoo involves 'pain' and therefore indicates a a measure of unfeminism is ridiculous.... what about giving birth... I'm sure that is slightly more painful than a tattoo.
Personally I do not like tattoos on anyone. It is the quintessential statement of self indulgence.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 11:48:10 AM | | I personally have six tattoos all in places where they can be hidden if need be . If someone likes you then it shouldnt matter if u got them or not ,why is everyone making such a fuss over it .At the end of the day its my body and if u dont like what ive done with it then fine u dont have to look at it ! Take me as i am or leave me for someone who appreciates body art ! | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2007 7:00:49 PM | | I know this question is directed towards the guys, but I guess I need to get my 2 cents in here. I am approx 80% covered in tattoos. I own 2 tattoo studios. I am not a "young" person (almost 40yrs). I can honestly say that when I go to the clubs, I am not approached overly much due to the fact (I've asked my guy friends) that I look very intimidating. However, addressing the fact that tattooed people are 'bikers', 'criminals', etc.... Tattooed people are the most unlikely people to commit a crime. They are the most recognizable people out there. I own my own home, single mom, and pay my taxes just like everyone else out there. To judge me for my appearance, not my personality, is a quality lacking in many people. They may have missed out on one of the most caring, giving human beings around. To be a shallow minded, judgemental person limits you to the multitude of people out there that could, quite possibly, be your "dream come true". If I've struck a nerve with people out there, I didn't mean to. This wasn't meant to be a crusade for tattoos and body modifications, just to let you know that if you get to meet that person's personality, they may just be the "one". | |
