| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/11/2008 7:17:11 PM | Are you kidding me? A few discrete, tasteful tattoos are dead sexy! I'm a fan of the lower-back tattoo... amongst other spots that I don't think I can mention I guess I like the idea of a girl with a tattoo that's discrete and hidden... "for my eyes only" if you will .
A girl with her entire arms tattooed is a little bit of a turn-off.

We all chose different things based on what we like personally, I chose not to associate with closed minded judgemental people who make assumptions. But hey thats just me !!

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2008 6:57:07 AM | | Tattoos can be either sexy or trashy. I think it depends on the tattoo and where it is. I do not have a tattoo yet but I am considering it very much. I am contiplating getting something that is significant to me-like my school emblem or a pennsylvania deutsch hex sign for my heritage. I am considering getting a "tramp stamp" style. Since I am a professional, it will be hidden during work but when I go out I can wear low rise jeans or with a bathing suit. But, I think keeping it in a discrete place also makes it sexier to a guy because he thinks he is special and the only one who really gets to see it. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2008 3:24:26 PM | If you want one - GET IT!!! It's for YOU, not the guys. If guys have a problem with tattoos on women, I think they are just too uptight. Many years ago I got a butterfly on my shoulder and a rose on my inner thigh. My ex hated them, but I didn't care, I LOVE THEM! Mine are located so that they don't show unless I want them to, if I have to be "professional looking" I just cover them up.
Mine also, aren't going to look gross and disgusting when I'm older (how much older? I'm 57 now) because they are in a discrete place. If you want one and worry about other's reaction - get it in a discrete place where you know it's there and they don't.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/12/2008 9:33:15 PM | | Honestly, more than one or two tiny tattoos is a turn off. Here in Sacramento there is a sizeable subculture of women, mostly lesbians, who are "sleeving" both arms with tattoos, and also doing most of their chest, back, etc. Remember, in 30 years tattoos look like bruises. So, when you are 25 and tatted to the max, at 50 you will look like a walking bruise. Food for thought... E | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2008 2:24:30 AM | errr no. I work a weekend job that most of the customers wear bathing suits. Trust me. There are no tattoos that past the endurance test. 5 years...fuzzy 10 years...really fuzzy..beyond that..a blob. Ladies consider this: pick a hairstyle, now agree to never change it for the rest of your life, even when its out of style and tattered. That is the choice your making with a tattoo. Tattoos are fashionable, even mainstream, now. 5 years? 10 years? Will they still be fashionable? or will you be heading to the dermatologist to have your fuzzy "i did it for me" statement removed?
/just my thoughts //worth what you paid for

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2008 5:15:00 AM | | lol Ive had tattoos for 15 yrs and they still look great, they have not become blurry or look like a blob. You get what you pay for !! Get a cheap home tatttoo and it will look exaclty like a cheap home tattoo. My guy LOVES my tattoos and he doesnt even have 1 so it goes to show different strokes for different folks. Im a whole package not just a tattoo sideshow. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2008 6:24:35 AM | | I love tats, I think they are sexy almost like a fetish of mine. I would love to date a woman that had multiple tats that mean something, to her not just some random stuff! I have a tat on my lower part of my neck its my daughters name and a princess crown....YeS | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2008 7:25:25 AM | | Personally...i dont mind a wee tatoo here or there, or the one across the lower back (which can be sexy), but women who get big ones on their tighs or arms etc are a turn off in my book | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/13/2008 5:59:51 PM | Here is the interesting part I find after reading through this forum, WOW!! there is a lot of prejudice out there....... A tattoo is merely the coloring of ones skin......there are so many judgements in this forum it is almost scary!!! To judge anyone by the color of there skin is ignorent.........ignorence is not stupidity, it is just making a decession about a person without all the facts.........Folks, look past the color of someones skin and try to find the color of thier heart or soul, that's what is important!! It is like judging the context of a book without opening up the pages!! I can't believe that such a simple question created such banter, shouldn't we allow others to have thier opinion without trying to force your opinion on them..... | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/14/2008 6:53:55 AM | I'm glad you asked...
Just me personal opinion:
Tattoos on the small of the back are great, anyplace else is trashy. Especially trashy is the ankles or arms. How can you wear a nice dress to a formal engagement with the Rolling Stones lips and tongue on your calf??
I like feminine women and over tatted up women are not lady-like.
A big no-no for me is the tattoos on the breasts. It ruins the symmetry for me and is really wrong.
You asked, I weighed in.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 8/14/2008 8:12:26 AM | I really like tattos on women, but I agree they gotta be GOOD tattoos!
I have a half sleeve going and I wear longsleeves to work and in the texas heat it's not always the most fun thing to do.
You get what you pay for just like anything else....... And these are forever! Don't try to save 100 bucks on a tattoo that you're gonna be wearing the rest of your life.

| No thanks Posted: 8/15/2008 12:19:40 AM | Here's the thing, there are trashy women showing off bad tattoos. These are very strong images and seeing any tattoo on a woman later on will bring back the bad image and be associated to it.
Tattoos are a style not your personality and others will judge your style decisions along with everything else visable including mullets or parachute pants.
Most(not all) here agree tattoos on faces are not a good idea. Some of us feel the same about the whole body. I'm surprized it's hard to see our view. If it looks good why permanently mark it? I just think of all the tshirt designs I've liked that always eventually move to the rag pile.
