| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/2/2008 6:41:27 PM | | Just do what you want to do...it's your body. I absolutely love tattoos on men if they're done well (cheap looks cheap). As for my own body, I have none currently but hope to get one when I turn 40. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/3/2008 6:56:24 PM | I have only ever gotten compliments on my tattoo's. They are actually great conversation starters, people ask for the reasons behind the tattoos and not just judge me f0r having them. Believe me, I never got any of mine on a "whim", they have all been well thought out and designed by my artist and myself. Tattoos are not cheap, well not te good ones. I know mine sure weren't, I have thousands of dollars invested in mine.
People need to be open minded and judge people based on what's inside, not what's on the outside.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/4/2008 8:30:24 AM | | YES, YES, YES! Tattoos are hot... (when some creativity is involved) No "tribals" on the lower back, though. Thats just stupid. Same with japanese letters... Everything else is hot. If it is well thought out, even large tattoos can still be very feminine. | |

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/9/2008 4:18:44 PM | Some people suit tattoos - some people dont - same with hats I guess.
What I can say is that if a LADY chooses to have a tattoo and its well done, well positioned, well proportioned and the artist has some true skill they can only enhance a slender ankle, arm etc - they can be stunning.
I believe the rush, without thought to "get a tattoo" and you pick one out of a book with no personal meaning or thought just means that later those people may regret whats forever - ish on their skin.
Maybe we should bring in a law lol tattoos must refect how you are or feel inside.
Ultimately personal choice - different strokes etc. I have a beautiful daughter smart, educated, talented - she came home with a tattoo 3 months ago - anyone saying trailer trash or whatever cause some lady or girl or fem has a tatoo really needs to think about their attitude to live and let live. Maybe your garn has one she has never told you about - wonder why???
There are worse things in life.
One thing is for certain if you love or admire a certain female then tattoos or anything else really wont matter. Just a PERSONAL opinion

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/9/2008 8:41:12 PM | Personally I think it’s a sign of low intelligence and self respect on both men and women. A small tat in a personal space may be okay but generally I think makeup, rings, and ear rings are enough decoration on that beautiful thing called a woman.
Generally I think it’s a big turn off for intelligent mature people who thoughtly think things out before they act.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/10/2008 8:06:03 AM | | Tats are a personal thing...you either like them or not. I for one think they`re quite sexy on women as long as it`s not overdone and they`re tasteful. | |

Posted: 9/10/2008 9:01:13 AM | I'm basically a ''live and live type'' person,..it goes to a person's personal preference to what they find attractive,..A nice tribal,...on a male's bicept,..hot!!,..pretty ,small ones on a female,..hot too!,...but when I see an attractive woman in a beautiful dress tattooed all over,..(remember my personal opinion),..not hot at all,..Now at my workplace,..I'm a nurse ,..all visable tatto's need to be covered,..a challenge, to the tatted nurses,...My opinion is,.. to not validated or defined by anyone,..beauty is in the eye of the beholder,...who knows?,..I may have a little surprise H-D tatt one day,..woo hoo

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/10/2008 5:57:39 PM | A sign of low intelligence? What the? I think a statement like that is a sign of a very judgemental and close minded individual. Low inteeligence, I don't think so! I have 2 college diplomas, and a BA as well as graduting on the Honour Roll and Dean's List. If I was not intelligent, how did I graduate in the top 3 % of my class?
I am a business professional, but choose to not conform to what society dictates. I prefer to be an individual and live my life as such.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/10/2008 10:04:16 PM | | The notion that tats are unattractive is an opinion. I don't mind them in small doses, hate it when someone is covered in them though, it looks fugly and unclean. | |

I totally agree. I love tattoos on both men and women, but it aggravates the bejeezus out of me when they're just assembly line, by-the-book crap. For goodness sake, it's a permanent reflection of your soul! At least make it original and meaningful. You can be covered head to toe as long as there is a very personal reason behind them. But if you have just one crappy thing you got while out drinking with buddies in Mexico, it's yuck.
I have one tattoo. I got it over 15 years ago and it took 8 months to research what I wanted it to say (it's in Chinese, so I had to be really specific and detailed because it had not only personal, but spiritual significance.) I've been contemplating my next one for several years and have only now put together the design. At this rate, it'll probably take me 10 more years before I get a third, but I've already put together some ideas.

Yep, that's excellent! Keep on proving to the world just how macho and mature you are by tossin' out the insults. If it weren't for the fact that it would be like shootin' fish in a barrel, I'd be inclined to return fire.
People like you just never know when to quit, do you?
Oh, and by the way, there's this fantastic thing called a Caps Lock Key...yea, you'll find it just to the immediate left of the "A" key.
You may wanna try turning yours off.
Dude, I'm embarrassed FOR you. Really. I mean it. I'm serious now. No kiddin'.

I LEAVE MY CAPS ON...........IT DOESNT MEAN SHIT
Um, dude, on the internet, it means that you're YELLING. It's OK to shout out a word or phrase to get your point across, but constantly typing in all caps is the literary equivalent of being too drunk to know you're talking too loud and that you might be about to break out in some really bad dancing.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/12/2008 4:29:12 AM | What i don't like are the non-sequiter impulsive tattoos that end up looking about as integrated and connected as the bathroom graffitti in a hiqhway rest stop! Each one a random thought at a random time, impulse of the moment...
What I find attractive are the integrated designs that are flowing and beautiful. Japanese tattos have some element of that.
Ever wonder why the Japanese Yakuzu deliberately leave parts of their torso blank? Just makes me feel like fingernails on the blackboard, when I see people damage their acupuncture meridians with tattoo's because the have no clue where they are putting the ink. The reason the bare spots in the front of the body and sometimes the back are there, is that these guys need all the life energy and vitality they can muster for being a gangsta, and not going to do anything that chops that down and blocks it. 99.99% of the people getting tattoos have no clue where they are putting the ink, contrasted to maori and se asian/japanese artists, who do understand what these things can call down and invoke.. and use that deliberately... Angelina Joliet's cambodian job was not a fashion statement.

You make some very good points and I completely agree with you. One of the reasons I'm spending so much time investigating a tattoo that I'm having done on my spine is that I am making sure it's the proper symbol and color for the chakra point where it will be.
Tattoos as "fashion" really bug me. If you don't know the deeper meaning and it's not part of your personal philosophy, don't have it permanently put on your body.

| q for the guys--Tattoos on women--yes or no? Posted: 9/12/2008 9:52:42 PM | What the... I thought that this is discussion about whether tattoos re sexy or not (and they are sometimes, but then sometimes almost everything is).
What's with all the ''yelling''. Did somebody crawl auth of the hole in the ground and wants the whole world to know he is finely made it.
Ok. We got it. Worms do it every day but they don't make such a fuss about their accomplishments.
