Posted: 9/29/2006 2:13:07 PM | Simple......POF men on this site!!!!!......When they knew my son was ill they did everything but cure his illness.......the emails were very touching to me and I would again like to take this opportunity to say THANK-YOU !!!!!.......Your words of support helped me through a rough time!!!!!..........There was so much sweetness that I actually got a cavity!!!!!lol | |

Posted: 9/29/2006 6:50:50 PM | I was in a grocery store with a gent I had met on POF( he knows who he is)... a customer was directed by a store employee that the item she was looking for was right in front of "that lady"...meaning me. The man I was with corrected her and said right in front of "that beautiful lady"... all the of us, the customer, the employee and I just stood there for a second looking stunned. I remember it well the look of envy on the other womens faces, they wanted one of him....... what an amazing man.  | |

She reappeared several hours later after she had polished every pair of shoes in my closet. I soon forgot who sent flowers, meals, etc., but I have never forgotten her polishing my shoes. | |

I still talk to him every now and then, and he still tells me the same thing. | |

Posted: 10/6/2006 10:30:59 AM | We weren't dating or anything, but we were both in a fairly intense adult computer class -- all day for about a month. He was the only guy and the instructor had seated the class based on previous ability.
He and I sat next to each other which didn't always sit so well with many of the women in the class...particularly the ones he was busy charming during breaks and lunch or whatever.
And yes, those who liked him too were a whole lot prettier and younger and whatever. But the bottom line was we weren't interested in one another...we were just 'on the same page' when it came to the assignments...not the best of the bunch or the worst.
We had to conceptualize a lot in order to complete most of the major projects. But everytime that I'd be sketching or designing or whatever, I had certain women coming up to me and asking: "Are YOU okay? You look weird...what's the matter? Why are you looking off into space in THAT direction?" etc.
One day, he stood up and in a really loud voice said, " SHE'S THINKING! IT'S SUCH AN UNCOMMON PRACTICE NOWADAYS THAT NOBODY SEEMS TO RECOGNIZE IT. BUT THAT'S WHAT SHE'S DOING, SHE'S THINKING."
That's the type of 'knowing one another' and being in one another's corner that I'd like to see translated into my 'ideal romantic relationship'. | |

Posted: 10/21/2006 6:52:00 AM | Best thing ever was when my ex brought me to George Romero's house to meet him and his wife.. I was star struck because Romero has always been a God to me and even after I broke up with my ex I stayed friends with Mr Romero and he even put me in Land of the Dead
Nothing can compare to that in my book..I got to meet and become friends with my lifetime idol | |

Posted: 10/21/2006 8:44:20 AM | He cried in the hospital when I was sick- I had a seizure and was in shock, couldn't answer my name or recognize faces... he was no crier either. Afterwards he said that he was scared that he'd lost part of the most perfect woman in the world, that I wouldn't "come back' as the smart, beautiful woman he'd loved for years...
still tugs my heartstrings. | |

One of the things that stands out the most is right after we started dating, I got my lip pierced, and youre not supposed to kiss anyone until its healed. Since he couldnt kiss my lips, he would kiss my forehead or the back of my hand. I melt to this day everytime he does that .
And also just the fact that despite all my friends being in college and my parents wanting me to go to college, he supports me when I decided to drop out. In a world where it is nearly impossible to find a job without a college degree, he still believes in me and encourages me to follow my dreams.  | |

I was at home sick with pneumonia, and he took the whole day off school, snuck into my house while i was sleeping, made homemade soup, fed me, ran me a bath, washed me, changed my bedding, then got me dressed again. when all that was done he layed in bed with me and cuddled me until i fell asleep. that day he took care of all my needs. That was my first love. | |
