Well, there are some people who think society would be better if pornography were made totaly illegal and no one could see it.
Society will be better when no one looks at it anymore because no one's interrested.
Now what exactly would that take ?

I guess my point in creating this thread was that porn producers are going farther and farther to push the limits and boundries to attract buyers and renters.
The first thing they taught me in university economics 100 was that it's actually demand, then supply. You're obviously unfamiliar with the industry. As someone who's in the industry, I can assure you we don't go making expensive videos people don't want to buy. It's not a big shock-value competition, it's about the money.
"More" violent and "way too far" are pretty nebulous ways to quantify this alleged phenomenon too. Marqui de Sade wrote far more violent pornography 200 years ago than what's available today from US companies, so I don't really sense the trend you refer to.
One thing we may agree on is that what's allowed over the TV now is arguably more objectifying and degenerate. Ironically, I don't even own a TV because I don't want my kids growing up with that in the house. | |

However, there is a false logic here... which is also i think present in the argument against sick porn..
Sick porn is not the thing that makes US of A a sick society, but one of the symptoms of its sickness...
if you want to make US of A a better place, you need to look at the influence of school, christianity, advertising industry, cynical capitalism and stupid patriotism... and related sexual hangups. | |

A friend of mine even sent me a link to a free YouTube-like website she stumbled across by accident and we got enough people to help get it closed down about 4 months ago when we discovered a child on there as well with animals. Just sick! But this is what happens in our world when political correctness becomes an accepted way of thinking - anything goes. | |
