| Hell : Does anyone actually think they are going there? Posted: 11/30/2005 10:25:35 PM | | A full page of eye avatars is kinda creepy...lol as for the topic at hand... I really dont think ANYONE beleives they are going there. To even consider the option...you'd have to beleive in the Bible, even if you didn't agree with it, correct? | |

But I never knew you could get a season pass.
Wow, an effort to get back to the original post. Yeah, thats kinda what I've been saying, which is that for hell to become an incentive of any kind, you would need to believe in the teachings of the bible. Doing so kinda exempts you.

Precisely....so I suppose the question of "do you beleive you are going to hell" should only be asked of christians...however...if they are christians they won't beleive they are, correct? It's kind of a catch 22 question really.

this is what I'm talking about. If you really believe this you have no idea what being a christian is about at all.

| Hell : Does anyone actually think they are going there? Posted: 11/30/2005 11:31:16 PM | I know it just makes me so when ppl throw blanket statements out there like that. I try to be fair some times I blow it but if i get worked up its because I really wish everyone could know the love of Jesus and see him in a good light. | |

I believe that it is fear that keeps people devoted to their christian faith. If you have an alternate point of view, I am willing to discuss it.

Posted: 12/2/2005 10:46:40 PM | | Hell is unfortunately the final resting place of the unsaved, anyone who has not trusted in Jesus Christ, including agnostics, skeptics, unbelievers, scoffers, anyone who is on these forums seeing as how they have had adequate knowledge of the right way.

| Hell : Does anyone actually think they are going there? Posted: 12/2/2005 11:00:13 PM | | i am curious as to whether anyone in this forum is aware of where the word ' hell ' actually came from? HELL was an ancient goddess that came to people BEFORE their bodies died to spare them the physical pain of physical death. this is a historical fact, significantly pre-dates 'christianity'. | |

...they have had adequate knowledge of the right way. This is one of those statements that interests me. What counts as "adequate knowledge"? Some guy in a suit trying to convince me I haven't been saved? Is that really adequate? I only ask that my God send better representation, the current batch of salespeople kinda suck.
Otherwise... Hel was a Norse goddess that ruled in the underworld. Google with one "l". It's pretty well documented.

Did you ever think, ironically from your point of view, that I am the salesman and that you are hearing from God right now, on these forums? I think you are taking it a bit lightly not to think that God works through people, and that is what he has me here doing, as well as others, on these forums, trying to persuade you to obey the Lord. Something to think about isn't it?

| Hell : Does anyone actually think they are going there? Posted: 12/3/2005 12:33:45 PM | i need to re-word my last post. HELL was the name people gave to a goddess THEY believed in. THAT is the fact that pre-dates 'christianity'. her actuall existance is as much ' fact ' as any other god/goddess that is referred to in any other book. as for quotes and referrances, going to the library is a grand idea. i know that i don't enjoy reading 5 pages of scripture from posts. i have a christian bible, am perfectly capable of reading myself. the origin of the word is easily verified as historical fact. run to those libraries | |

| Hell : Does anyone actually think they are going there? Posted: 12/3/2005 1:42:28 PM | | Yes, friend, I have read whole books which are accounts of people who have gone to hell in the spirit, or had near death experiences and have gone to hell. I assure you it was a place of anguish and torment, and the authors of these accounts wrote these books to warn us. | |
