Holy NARROW-MINDED people
You don't have to like tattoo's/peircings, but to call people trashy and uneducated because they have them?
Some of those people look like they are a tad uneducated themselves by their spelling and grammar.
Come on folks- judging people's morales and intelligence by what they are wearing/donning? | |

Posted: 11/29/2005 12:10:43 PM | Tattoo'd and Pierced here and Yup this trashy and uneducated person has managed to have a highly productive life.. got a good job works in non profit family service, has manage to raise and support her kid on her own, pay the bills and help out her elderly parents, and siblings when they are in trouble..
so.. I guess being trashy and uneducated isn't all that bad of a trait now is it. | |

All 3 of mine were very carefully chosen, and carefully placed on my body that I can cover them when they need to be covered, and shown, if I want to show them. (and I allow the one in the middle of my back to be seen often)
Not every one sees a tattoo as a way to become "beautiful" most of us see them as a way to express something, or make a small statement
And hey it can always be said, don't like it, don't look....... | |

Yes, it is not right to judge the people because of the way they look. But many do this.
POF have many threads related to the physical attraction (Ladies: your take on short guys?) There are plenty of profiles saying something like “you should be tall/slim, have tattoo/piercing, have no tattoo, etc.

Then go nude in the store, and tell it to the police! Lol.
The friend of mine was in Japan recently. Waiter in café asked him to put shirt on because of his tattoo. L
P.S. I personally would like to make a tattoo around my arm. I will do it soon. So I’m not against the tattoo. However, it is strange for me when people proud by tattoo, and think that tattoo makes them look better. | |

If your got an ugly personality, face, body what be it.. its still gonna be ugly..
I seriously doubt there are many people out there who have tattoo'd themselves thinking.. wow.. this is gonna make me look hot.. no way.. not a chance.. thats what plastic surgery is for. | |

One tat is of a cat, next one it's satan crawling out of the ground with her ex b/f's head in his mouth.
Tats use to represent moments in life or for people. Now it's who has the better colour or the biggest design.
Met one girl and she had a tat running up the entire side of her body all the way up to her neck. It was so stupid looking.
For myself I have one tat, and it has meaning, if I get another it will have meaning also. Not just cause it looks cool.
I don't mind 1-2 but 5-6-7-8 well sorta stupid looking.
Never judge a book by it's cover and now most women pray to god you don't judge them by their 10 tats lol

There’s also the aesthetics side of it and of course the stigma of a hint of the rebel spirit.Tattoo artists express themselves through their work and those with tattoos express themselves through the art on the body.
Art in any form, is individual, not trashy, and each should be allowed to express it freely. | |

my rose.. was done when I was in a point in my life where I felt like I was actually becoming my own person and growing into an adult.. the butterfly was done after I escaped a reall bad marriage it represented my freedom.. from being guilted into staying in a really bad relationship.. My daughters name was added under the butterfly cause she is my heart.. and I wish her the same freedom I feel i've had..
The OM symbol was tattoo'd on my left foot.. after attending a retreat when I actually felt the presence of a divine/god/spirit whatever you want to call it.. and I put it there to remind me to always walk with the divine...
each tat was done for a reason and each one is a memory.. people often ask me why.. well thats why.. not cause it was the "In" thing to do. | |

I use to race BMX, do do dirt jumping, went down to Cali for a jumping contest and everyone down there had all their arms done, hands, backs. Ok, they are guys and rebels but I think i was the only guy there with one tat. They looked at me weird, and not just cause I was from Canada, but your right, doesn't matter how many tats you have. As I finished 2nd out of 44 tatt'ed BMX'ers
I turned down a guy for a job cause his arms were completely covered in tats, as they would need to present themself in public and around kids. Not give them nightmares.
The guy threatened me with a law suit, and my lawyer told him to give it a try.
If I was to hire a secretary I would end up asking for the same. The youth don't care and don't think 9 out of 10 times, and when it comes to employment it will come back and bite them in the butt. | |

First, I read this thread in a regional forum about a guy with a smoking body, but he was fugly (yeah, real classy), and the chick pretty much said "what's with that???" As if only good looking people should have access to gyms...
Now this, if you're "hot" (who defines hot????) Tats make you look hotter. If you are average, they make you look bad....
When did it become only acceptable for good looking people to express themselves or take care of themselves? What is it with our society that makes it ok to put people down? Why is it ok to insult people you don't find attractive? | |
