If they have got a HUGE beer belly on them, then of course not, how gross is that.
They may get away with it, if they are wearing a goodness gracious girdle under those spandex, then that may help trim up that beer gut of theirs. | |

When I had to go bikini shopping in June, the woman at Zellers was telling me that they now have 1 piece bathing suits with a "spandex girdle panel" in it! OMG!
Those spandex girdle panels in swimsuits have been around for decades. Many also have a spandex shelf bra inside the top of the swimsuit to hold up those not so perky (.)(.) ... mind you some ladies don't mind walking around the beach looking like they're hauling two papayas under their swimsuits. 
Some of those older guys would benefit from a spandex nutsack lifter inside their swim trunks as well.  | |

Ya, I know the the older guys that you mean, FunnyAndSweet48, thats why I watch what, and how much I eat. Don;t want one of those bellies, that stick out beyound my chest level.
Man, thats gross, to have a gut, that sticls out further then their chest, and very unattractive looking in the woman's eyes.
Guess some guys, don't know how to, or care to look after themselves.
Beer  belly guts, are sooooooooooooooooooooo, unattractive looking.

Posted: 7/24/2009 2:55:04 AM | Tight spandex clothing doesn't necessarily have to be uncomfortable ... it all depends on the design, thickness & blend of the various fabrics that make up the article of clothing & how well it 'breathes'.
DTC, I think your disgust with guys having pot bellies 'cause they drink too much beer has come across in several posts already ... no need to mention it again. Just be thankful that you likely have inherited family genes that have kept you slim & maybe those wild moves on the dance floor have helped too. The natural process of aging is not as kind to some as to others & many who exercise regularly still battle the midriff bulge. Not everyone who has a pot belly drinks alcohol or eats too much ... sometimes it's just hereditary ... so lay off the criticisms, k? 
Besides I wasn't talking about bellies in my last post ... I was talking about nutsacks ... bollocks ... family jewels & how some need a little spandex support. Maybe Playtex can design a 'lift & separate' spandex insert for mens' swimming trunks so men can have firm & perky nads ... one on each side.  Those mesh inserts in mens' trunks aren't always effective ... I've seen my share of guys lounging or sunbathing with their man jigglys dangling out of their shorts ... gives a whole new meaning to 'being hung'.

FunnyAndSweiset48, as unfortunate as it is for most guys to have pot bellies, whether it is hereditory, or not, it is still "FACT", not criticism, that some have them, and that is the reality, of it all that they have them, which ya can either accept, or deny.
I accept it, as FACT, and REALITY, not criticism.
BUT, I guess I am one of the fortunate that does not have a pot belly. | |

MMMMMM Now I realize not all in fact perhaps not many..lol other ladies would agree with me but thats ok...less ladies I have to compete with over him :) In fact I prefer to see a man with some meat on his bones with his shirt off wearing shorts at the beach then some man that is scrawny ....bones sticking out all over and his skin as white as a chickens thigh. Spandex has a time and a place and the people who know anything about fashion etc will be the ones who wear it in the most respectful tasteful ways.The others..........well lets just say....Spandex Biker shorts should never have been worn except by professionals..lol | |

NO, it does not come to me as a surprise that , some of you women like men with a tummy, JUST REMEMBER, that it was YOUR CHOICE.
Do you also realize, that not only does a huge gut, look unsttractive, it also poses a major health risk, by carrying around that much weight, and I am not talking fir JUST 9 MONTHS, either.
Additionally, it becomes very uncomfortable, for another.
Also, that the stomach musles carry the abundance of body fat.
And that it is extremely hard on the heart, that not only has the body got all that weight to carry around, but the amount of body fat content, is a good cause for a heart attack.
Further more, as men age, whether you know it or not, the testosterone level goes way down, and with an excessive amount of body fat, guess what, the excessive amount of body fat absorbs any remaining testosterone levels.
And thats the FACT, and REALITY of it all, again, whether you want to accept or deny
However, on the bright side of all of this, IF, the guy wants to, he can take action on it, by NOT, having such a big gut.
By watching what they eat, by eating healthy, drop the beer, consumption, which has a LOT of calories, and checking the net, to see what nutrients, and sipplements that are a
avaialble to him, that will help him, reduce the huge gut, and lose weight.
And DO NOT try and tell me that there is nothing available out there on the net.
They can find it, if they want it bad enough, further more, check with his family doctor, to see what they can do to help.
They, don't have to be carrying that big gut around with them, IF, thats IF they want to do something about it.

So far as the whole spandex issue is concerned, OK for workout clothes or bike shorts IF you're actually working out or cycling, otherwise it's a beautiful thing for keeping all the jigglies in check. | |

Some people suit spandex SOO much better than others. Mainly "skinny/athletic people". Spandex looks great on the joggers who are always running around the seawall, or on professional cyclists. But some people just do NOT suit spandex!!! And those are usually the ones who are exercising their right to wear it, (the closest thing to exercise they do!!):p I don't think spankdex should be banned. There should be qualifications you have to meet before being allowed to wear it in public!!
You'd never catch me dead in spandex, so you don't have to worry about that!!! | |
