First of all, being typed words on a screen, its very hard to figure out how the person is saying things. We only know what they are saying, not how they are saying it. Now, some things just speak for themselves. You have to remember, a lot of people on here are very lonely, and dont take rejection well..but after all, its just words on a screen..MAybe they have misinterpreted what we have said. Like I said,sometimes theres very little room for doubt. We could all use a kinder,gentler world in which to live. So, if anyone reads this, please remember to follow the Golden Rule...type and talk to people like you would like for them to do to you. | |

This is an internet forum, if you are going to take what someone says personally, then perhaps you shouldn't be here. You know why? Not because you don't have a right to be here but because you can't handle what a bunch of strangers say to you. Like really, who gives a f*ck what someone says about you, they don't KNOW you, you do.
The most intelligent thing said on this whole thread.
And ladies, if you meet the criteria (which I bet is strict) there's your nice guy!

I find myself again defending why I put myself as IE - as I do on a regular basis. Why is it that everyone seems to equate "intimate encounter" with "one-night stand"???? They are not the same thing. If that is why I get passed by...so be it. Maybe there should be another catagory for people who are looking to enjoy meeting the opposite sex, and are not adverse to the idea of becoming intimate on an occasional basis. Then again....that is a topic for another string. | |

Posted: 11/26/2005 4:38:12 PM | Dating? Hmmm.....my problem with the term "dating" , is the interpretation that dating has to lead to looking for something long term. I have no difficulty dating. I even had dating as my choice at one time.......but found that the women on dating, seem to only want to go out. NO chance of intimacy. NONE ... ZERO.... unless you are willing to:
1) Only see them
2) Be prepared to hang in long term
I am prepared to do neither. Hence, why I did not choose dating. And hence, why I likely get overlooked. So be it.
AND....I have read many "other relationship" profiles.....and most lean towards finding a guy for a long term commitment. Not saying all...but most that I have read. Or they are people looking to cheat on a spouse.
But to refer back to the string.......rudeness begets rudeness, and as many have said.....why stoop to a lower level. | |

When I create a profile(about 1 per week), or post on a forum,
I inject humor and fun references. I play devil's advocate.
I end almost every post with <-----this guy,
which is usually the opposite of how I'm feeling.
Many people read my posts and think that I'm out to make
trouble, or start fights.
That is absolutely not the case. I'm here to make friends,
and maybe lovers.
I know there are some offensive people on this site, but
please, before you get all hot and bothered about a post,
consider:

I know of at least one woman that is always joking, but ya can't tell the difference because she refuses to use icons.
