| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 10:00:48 AM | i have been in that situation where i was a whopping 287 lbs just a little over 2 years ago i have since then lost 159 lbs but i did it for me and nobody else i eat healthier and feel soo much better..u should never lose weight just because someone snubbed u because u r overweight...if ppl dont like u for who u are inside then they are not worth being around...
my ex lost interest in me and we split up but then i lost the weight and he wanted back...not a chance u didnt want me then and ur not having me now
losing the weight was a real eye opener for this gal and i will never go back to the way i was 2 years ago and if i can do it then so can anyone else that truly wants to love themselves and feel good about themselves
dont let other ppl treat u like dirt because ur overweight just be u and true friends and ppl who find u attractive for the way u r will be there for u regardless

Their personality and shining way makes the person.

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 11:00:17 AM | As for most overweight women don't put make up on. Well, I am just a plain jane myself. One, I chose to be that way because I don't like to wear make up. It's just how I was raised. If I wasn't overweight, I still wouldn't wear make up. Secondly, my skin is so allergic to make up. If I wear any, my skin would break out. Yes, I do keep my skin healthy. That's the reason why I don't wear make up much. I only wear make up on special occassions. Yes, I do dress well. For crying outloud, I am an Avon Rep, so I have to promote some products. Not to mention that I am a lingerie/exotic dancewear business owner. My customers, don't mind me not wearing make up. So ;p

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 12:23:13 PM | | I don't wear makeup because I've never liked the way it felt on my skin. I do take care of myself however. I am eating right, I bathe every day, brush my hair and teeth daily and am getting in some exercise every day. | |

That is with me. I do not like how makeup feels on my skin. That is one of the reason why I don't wear it. It feels okay at first, but after several hours, I am ready to take it off. Then, my face breaks out from wearing it. I am spending weeks trying to get it cleared up. In order to have clear skin, I stay away from wearing makeup unless (like I said) it is a special occassion.

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 3:21:33 PM | I am overweight but you can't tell that I am really overweight because of my body type. I thik that some of the best people out there are overweight because we don't judge a book by its cover. I wear make-up and am clean, smell good but that is because showering is good. I also am trying to lose weight but not because of anyone but because of family health reasons. Guys just need to take the time to look at all the fish out there other then the prettest or thinest fish, we are all the same, we just have more of us to love. | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 3:30:42 PM | | people care way too much about weight in the modern era, image means too much. Will the world just wake up to the idea that whats on the inside truely counts? I don't care if my future wife is 100 pounds or 1000 pounds, if she opens her heart and soul to me, I will gladly cast aside everything having to do with image. | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 7:26:45 PM | Anyone can change!! All it takes is the desire and the willingness. Kept...is right on the money! Good words! I have personally met many from AA that have made major changes by giving up the booze. I have worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor and have seen many change their lives in a positive way by walking away from the substance that they were addicted to. I use to be overweight and accepted that I had a problem that I wanted to change. For me it was only 30 lbs. but still went to the gym and became a successful body builder over time. I lost the 30 lbs. in 6 months and then began to build. Three years later I was where I wanted to be and injuries stopped me from continuing. I am still holding at 185 lbs. and I am 5' 7". I am also 48 years old. I still exercise but can't lift the weights anymore. It is about maintaining and confidence, self image, and self respect. If others can't be supportive then get the hell out of the way and get on with your own life. | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 7:44:49 PM | | If you are going to P&M about other people going out of the topic.. maybe don't do it either! Sometimes when people are on here they do send out little blurbs to others, it has nothing to do with you and doesn't hurt anything so why don't you just chill out!! | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 2/28/2006 7:45:47 PM | | I want to wiggle my nose and lose weight but it doesn't work that way. I refuse to buy larger pants so I have to lose!! I started on my roasted chicken and salad tonight. | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 3/1/2006 2:08:39 AM | Actually, when a "very overweight" person loses their weight, the sight is worse. The skin becomes flappy every square inch....trust me, it's gross. The surgery to rid the body of excess skin is long and painfull.
You don't just lose weight and expect the skin to shrink...the skin is elastic and once you've plumped over - you can lose weight, but the same volumn of skin will remain.
If such a girl/boy exists they are few and far between.

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 3/1/2006 3:27:37 AM | | I agree that is being overweight is not healthy, but many many many people judge on appearance, whether it be a weight issue, a crooked nose, buck teeth, it is still done!!! | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 3/1/2006 3:42:20 AM | | No it is not right... people do not realize it could have been THEM born with some physical flaws which would make them not pleasing to look at. It's those people who judge others by their looks.. weight... teeth.. etc. Some people cannot help how they look and people who judge them make them insecure and destroy their self esteem at times. NO.. it is not right and it is very very sad. | |

| dating an overweight person? Posted: 3/1/2006 6:57:16 AM | | I have to agree that it is not right. My last boyfriend (now my ex bf) used to constantly judge others for the way they looked. He was forever saying something about everyone he saw. It was SO annoying. Finally one day when he was doing this I looked him dead in the eye and said...You're not all THAT and a bag of chips EITHER so why are you constantly judging people??? That shut him right up. LOL!! | |
