I noticed this last year or the year before when it was Johnny Depp, all the women I knew were suddenly gaga over him. While they are both good looking men, who are we to say who the sexiest? Posted: 9/3/2007 8:16:05 PM | I don't agree with the People's Sexiest Men list (nor People's Most Beautiful People list). It is all about who is a popular celebrity, it has nothing to do with sex appeal. I have seen average joes walking down the street that make Mel Gibson look like dog food. The hottest men and women aren't celebrities. I've gotten to meet several celebrities and they are just as hot as regular people. I have been very fortunate (thank you thank you thank you God!) to date some very handsome men and have been left speechless when they ask me something because they are just so damn good looking. Three handsome men in Hollywood, only one is still alive: Robert Redford. Elvis and Rudolph Valentino kicked the bucket. There are a couple of men on this site that could easily make the people list and so could some POF females if they were famous celebrities. Nothing that special about People's list. When they start putting men on that list who aren't bisexual or butt ugly I might respect that list a bit more. English celebrities (at least the men) are far more handsome. Steve Jones and Jimi Mistry are just appetizers over there. And Richard Burton, Welsh wonder, don't get me started.
And for the Top 100 or 500 POF people with the highest ratings? I don't agree. There are some droolworthy men who should really be up on that list. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Or of People Magazine. | |

Posted: 9/4/2007 6:17:25 AM | I dunno...those men are plastic surgeried to death, hair plugged, and airbrushed on top of that. Just like the women in your "mens magazines." (maybe not the hair plugs, but extensions!) I believe that's what men want, so I guess we are even?
Besides, a lot of those men are sexy till they open their mouths. I guess they are ok, as "eye candy," as long as they just sit there and shut up and look pretty. I personally find it much sexier to have someone I have stuff in common with, someone who has the same value system as me, someone who wants ME, and not the 18 year old babysitter like Jude Law did. Is he pretty to look at on glossy paper? Sure. Is he sexy? NO, not to me, based on his behavior, which broke up his marriage.

My fella right now is the sexiest man alive to me; I know that sounds SO cliche, but I look at him and I think "Day-um, Laura, how'd you pull THAT ONE?" He talks to me and I get tongue tied; he touches me and I can't even think. And he pretends that he doesn't even know how hot he is; tells me all the time how good I am for his self esteem and ego, and how hot he thinks I am.
That is the best feeling EVER.
And he's mine...sigh...how lucky can one girl get?
Okay, sorry about that, but I had to. He's THE BEST.
