| Being over 30 can be fun! Posted: 1/26/2007 7:30:17 PM | | In my 20's I was raising children and trying to figure it all out. In my 30's, life began anew. I got a divorce, put myself through college and developed an attitude. Got drunk far too much and found the college of hard knocks & the local university to my liking. I value this knowledge. Turning 40, I've so looked forward to this time of my life. Life over 30 is by far the best. I know what I want, when, how and what I will not tolerate.. | |

| Being over 30 can be fun! Posted: 1/28/2007 7:47:00 AM | Being a thirty-something is great. Infact, it's taken me 30 years to really figure out who I am. Which I'm sure most of us would agree with. But I must admit, I'd rather be me NOW, the person I am currently and still be able to say I'm 24! ...and now I can mutter, "age before beauty!" when trying to get the last seat on the bus! | |

I like being over 30 because the 20's were as howard stern would say 'HARRABLE" Its all about growing, making mistakes, learning, that happens even in the early 30's, as you sail to the mid 30's you're much more seasoned and it just gets better.. unless you just never learn lessons. :)

| Being over 30 can be fun! Posted: 2/24/2007 1:49:45 PM | Ya know, I kind of like being in the 30's. In the 20's I was still trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up, but now that I've got a better grasp on things, I think I'm enjoying the 30's more.
It seems as though we evolve and become different versions of the people we once were as we grow and mature. I'm not so sure that the "30's me" is the "final me", but I'm relatively comfortable in this skin. I just have a few more dreams and aspirations to attend to before checkout ;-)
Oh, and as for this.....
unless you just never learn lessons
LOL, some of us need to re-learn some old lessons before we really get it. Sometimes I overlook things that I KNOW I shouldn't because I hope that a result will differ from past experiences. Chin up; live and learn ;-)

| Being over 30 can be fun! Posted: 2/25/2007 11:51:21 AM | In my 20's a married someone I knew wasn't right for me (he was my "meantime turned to lifetime" man) but didn't have the courage or honesty within myself to say so.
In my 30's I finally had the confidence to leave that same man because I now know I am better off living alone than with Mr Wrong. I have a better understanding of what I need, want, fear, loath, love and because of it I will be better able to be fair and honest to myself and future partner.
Who would want to trade that?
