It just seems like women under 30 these days all have an underlying need to buy, impress, expose...
"Money, its a crime. Share it fairly but dont take a slice of my pie. " Roger Waters
It's young men and women who do this.
They're young and impressionable. They watch a lot of TV and read magazines that tell them they are nothing unless they have expensive items. Many are working in entry level jobs, living at home, and have a lot of disposable income. So they're not thinking in terms of saving up a down payment on a home, marriage, etc. They're thinking more in terms of what will get them admiration in the club scene and especially for guys...what will get them the hottest females to lay.
It's funny how many young 20somethings claim to me they're making $75,000-$100,000 a year! I call them "$20,000 a year millionaires"
Yes there are women who get into the logic of "I want a long term relationship" but are also equating the ideal mate as someone making a high income who can afford to take them on a shopping spree at Dior. We call these women gold diggers.
Many men and women outgrow the "I gotta be a baller" phase as they get out and realize how much it really costs to live on their own (provided they're not milking money from mom and dad to pay their rent and credit card bills). I know for me, I try to more play the illusion of looking like I make a gigantic paycheck when I really look for bargains and shop smart. You won't see any name brands on me, but I'll still look good.
Best as a man to ignore those women who are looking for a wallet to spend money on them. Best for women to avoid the guys who spend money like a baller, but really don't make that baller money. You might even be careful if he's the type to spend it all and not save...if you're thinking of marriage and long-term.
