| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/14/2012 1:18:01 PM | Professional body builders are not that attractive, IMO. I'm fine with it, but like sinewed female bodies do not illicit a sexual response from me. Same with professional weight lifters. There's just too much mass there.
That said, muscular woman and women who clearly take care of their bodies are usually very attractive to me. Like, a 5'2" woman at a lean 130 lbs. is almost guaranteed to be hotter to me than a 5'2" woman at 110 lbs, even though most men and the fashion magazines think the latter is the ideal female form. I just like women on the more muscular side.
This may sound gross, but I'm just being honest: in the fantasies of my mind, when I am banging a woman with everything I've got, I don't want to be thinking about breaking her or can she take this, etc. I look at swimsuit models and all I see are legs the size of my arms and arms the size of toothpicks. I don't bang toothpicks, I pick my teeth with them, and picking my teeth does not give me any sexual arousal. The body of a muscular woman says to me "Not only can I take every delicious sexual thing you can do to me, but I can dish it right back baby!" Even though I am into submissive women, that feeling of being with a physically strong woman is very erotic to me. I don't want to be overwhelmed by a stronger woman, but equal toughness is a very, very good thing.
And lastly, as a man giving a woman dating advice, I can't think of any greater example of when you should flee for the hills than when a man gets intimidated or feels inadequate based on how you are in the bedroom. Face it, sex is the most intimate thing a couple can do, and if he feels inadequate there, your entire relationship is on shaky ground. That said, I also recognize that I am the type of guy who is attracted to strength of all types in women, and a lot of guys are not. But most of the time, inadequacy is a sure sign of immaturity, and as responsible adults, we should all be fleeing from relationships with immature people.

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/14/2012 6:30:09 PM | I'm afraid I would just embarass them when they see how muscular I am they will cry and lose all faith in being a bodybuilder, just kidding. I've never dated one so I would be interested. | |

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/14/2012 7:08:20 PM | | I have heard in the last year that many models have been working out to increase their muscle mass despite designer recommendations. I think a woman who takes care of her body well with weights is highly attractive because she values her health, and it makes her appear sexually appealing. | |

5'2" 130 is pretty beefy....even the muscular thick legged gymnasts I knew weren't even close to that. I know you were just throwing out numbers, but 5'2" 110 is ideal to me and I might even prefer 105 for that height. 130 is more along the lines of somebody that's 5'6-8" to me.
Sorry...I'm just nitpicking

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/15/2012 11:52:01 AM | I'm only worried about men on POF having too little. It's amazing to see so many wusses listing themselves as "athletic"...
Oh and, 5'2 / 130lb can be leaner than 5'2 / 110lb. It's all about BF%.

Same goes for the women when I see clinically obese people list themselves as "average".
Fair enough on body fat %....which is true. But if I saw a chick that was 5'2" 130 lbs and around 15% body fat.....I would probably be scared because she would be a mini body builder.

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/15/2012 7:00:49 PM | The Turn-On, Turn-off has so much more to do with attitude and style than body mass.
Athletic , Averate ... nothing inbetween ... there is a problem to start with. Fit , HWP, Healthy, all mean more. How about a Spaz category or Clutz.
Its sucks trying to categorize people.

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/16/2012 3:34:14 AM | My last ex was naturally muscular at 5' 2" and around 115-120 at 46 years old with 3 grown kids. She wore a size 3 in most of her clothes. I would say she was built like a sprinter. I like muscular, but still feminine. | |

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 2/16/2012 3:59:01 AM | I've never dated a 'muscular' girl (certainly wouldn't mind though!), but one of my exes was uncommonly strong. One of my sleazier friends started flirting with her once whilst we were all out drinking, somehow we all ended up armwrestling after a few rounds and she totally dominated him in their match - I've never seen a guy look so emasculated in my life, poor **stard!!! Needless to say, he never tried it on with her again!
Sometimes, I think it would be a turn-on to be with a girl who is about as strong as me, but in reality I think she'd have to be a pretty big hefty woman for that to happen, so perhaps not such a good idea after all!

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 3/1/2012 7:35:27 PM | | I met a woman for coffee the other day ,she had some really big shoulders for a woman and kind of small hips...I'm think she was a man dressed as a woman....just saying | |

She could just be a woman that lifts weights. Did you look at her throat?
Dating fit women is awesome. You don't have to worry about them smoking or eating unhealthy food. Plus, you can work out together. And.. if you're trapped in a burning building, she can proably save you instead of running for help.

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 3/2/2012 6:23:31 AM | | I dont find it attractive at all and intimidation is not a factor. I just dont like hard, muscular women. I find women with curves to be more attractive. | |
|
| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 3/2/2012 7:47:40 AM | I have a preference for soft natural curvy women. Don't know exactly why.........can't explain why ...........nothing to do with intimidation, just the way I am wired.
Not that toned women aren't very attractive.........just that some of the bodybuilders are a bit too masculine looking.

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 3/3/2012 9:31:23 AM | | Athletic, fit, toned women can be very attractive. However I am not attracted to women with huge muscles. | |
|
| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 3/3/2012 9:36:56 AM | | no offense body builders men or women are physicaly unappealing tome. I prefer not to go for the roided out looking folks | |
|
| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 5/10/2012 3:13:10 PM | @ OP: Toned women are sexy...however excesive bodybuilding types are definately a turn-off...Not an issue of feeling inadequate...just don't want to be hanging on to huge muscles when getting intimate. The same goes for high matainence bombshells who think they are all that!!
Just my opinion:
Cheers! | |

| Muscular women... Turn-on or off? Posted: 5/10/2012 4:31:54 PM | I think it certainly can be a turn-on. But, I don't think I can just make a flat statement about every one of them. It's like any other attraction. It works in some and not in others. And, it takes two attractions, not just on the part of one.
Most of the lady body builders whose profiles I've seen say they are looking for someone just as fit and sculpted as themselves, which is understandable.
