| Ladies: your take on short guys?
Posted: 6/16/2006 11:06:52 AM | well I can uderstand..myself I like only tall ladies. I'm 6'5" in my cowboy boots and would like a girl to be minimum minimum 5'10". short girls just seem like little girls and I feel like a pedohile when I'm with them..too freaky for me. To me ladies should also be slim and in shape, with nice assets..hmm hmm..the BBW just doesn't do it for me..any women over 125 is just too fat for me. Thats just my preference..and I'm sticking by it.

Not only that but I would be self conscious of my own height if I were significantly taller than the man. Besides, sometimes even a girl that's 5' 9" needs a man to reach things on the top shelf! 
Oh, Sir Charles....I hate to be the one to tell you but a girl that's 5' 10" and 125 should probably see a Dr. about that eating disorder......take it from a woman who is 5' 9" and 135#!!  | |

Posted: 6/16/2006 11:27:18 AM | KK, no offence, but you are a bit on the older side..and 135 is expected. My last girlfriend was 19 yrs old , blond, sexy as hell ( she did some modeling work ). She was 5'9" and she was 118 pounds. She was not in any way anorexic, she had a super hot body..only problem her breasts were on the teeny weeny side..unfortuneately..I don't think 125 for a women 5'10 is way too skinny..its perfect. OK, lets give it 130...5 pounds, so what.

You're right....My OLD a*s is five pounds heavier than I was at 21!! OMG....what a future you have to look forward to.

Its just my preference, as I would like to have a few kiddies running around, hopefully. My father is 5 yrs older than my mom. Most couples I know, the Man is older..guess its what I'm accostomed to.
Hotties lined up?..me? no way..I wish. I know many girls...but not many of them I would consider Hotties..maybe 2 or 3...ok 4, Jamie just got a nice boob job..Nice !!

Posted: 6/16/2006 12:36:17 PM | It all comes down to personal preference, we all have things we like and don't like in a potential partner. Some people adhere to their prefernces more strict than others. Some have firm ruls of no one under a certain height.......
While I can surely understand preferences it is frustrating for me as a man of only 5'7. Its frustrating to be contunually overlooked solely on that basis. I know i am not the most attractive man in the world..... but I do know that I am a very good man, a very good father, I have a huge heart, a wonderful wit and I know how to treat people well......It's frustrating to continually see woman post about there not being good men out there when they continually overlook a good segment of the dating pool.
I think this strict adherence to preferences is very much a function of online dating sites. In these sites you are encouraged to creat a menu of physical and other attributes that you want your potential partner to have. Due to sheer volume most women are forced to find a reason not to talk to you so the absence of one of these physical characteristics is ofetn a key factor for dismisal.
In the real world I don't think this is quite as common. When meeting people in the "real world" you are apt to notice personality and other characteristics beyond the physical.
I am not a bitter "height impaired" man. At one point in my life I was lucky enough to meet a wonderful woman of 5'10 that I was with for a long time. She was able to see me for the man that I am rather than my height......I am secure enough in my own self that being with her, even with her in heels, that it didn't matter that she was taller than me....as a matter of fact it often made me smile and laugh to myself when i would catch our reflection when walking together.
Like I always say when it comes to any attibute people are looking for...especially a physical attibute...... I have always been more attracted to the person than any physical attribute that person may or may not have...... | |

I guess I am secure in who I am. But really here is the question and I want an honest answer. Is it you couldn't be attracted to a short guy or are you concerned about how others will view you when you introduce them to your significant other and he is shorter? Or worrying about being seen at a mall and "what will people think?" Just imagine a world where it is impossible for people to judge. It only matters what YOU think. Is it you or is it worrying about others seeing you as a "different couple"? What if he didn't care if you wore heels and towered him further...for the ones who say they met guys who wouldn't let them wear heels? What if a short guy knocked your socks off over time because you saw him every day in a certain scenario? Would you be able to accept him despite his height?
Disclaimer: I am ok with my height 100% so be honest.

The secure feeling I'm talking about is when he puts his arm around me I have the feeling that everything is safe in my world. I don't know how to explain it. I like 'em tall and built like a brick house.
My feeling this way has nothing to do with the outside world...just my personal preference. And yes, I have dated guys who were on the shorter side... cheers!  | |
