Height does not matter to me one iota!!! I've dated guys as short as me, (maybe shorter, but I can't remember, because it was never an issue), to as tall as 6'5"!! I don't even check the height when I read the profiles!!! Of course, being 5'2", most are taller, but it's not because of a requirement on my part!

Has anyone ever told you that you look like Lou Feririgno? The resemblance is remarkable!! Maybe that is the secret to getting all the tall women

"hambone........where on your profile does it mention martial arts?
as for women lying about age.........i don't know when/where it started about women not even saying their age........'never ask a lady her age'....i've never lied about my age; never will."

There are activities I just don't happen to put in the profile. That can be found out later, after don't want to say everything about yourself in your ad, don't want to give it all away. :-)

I had a co-worker of mine that wouldn't, at first reveal to me his belt rank, because he wasn't the type to really talkabout his belt status or his knowledge of martial arts to people, of course after getting to know me better, he was able to tell me what he knew.

I just get a kick out of people who go around proclaiming how much of a bad ass they are, so everyone can see it.

If you want to know more, PM me. :-)

well as a lady of 5ft i have dated both tall and short.. and truely its not the heighth your dating its the person ok.. but i do know that my neck did get a little sore from bending back from kissing ..lol the taller men.. but for the right person its always worth it.. yes i love being with short men too.. walking with our arms around each others waists, not mine around his hips and his around my neck..lol and yes looking eye to eye right before that first kiss is so different coming from straight across than from towering down... but as i said before its WHO your with that matters not their heighth... i have even dated men shorter than me and that didnt bother me neither.. yes midgets.. real midgets..
as for those men who talk about strength.. nitro comes in small package.. blows up big block..lol... lilbitsbits

Hambone;the reason why i put on my profile that I'm in karate;is because i'm not ashamed of it. Maybe it doesn't happen with men who are in a martial art; but there are plenty of men that don't want women to be in it. I've had at least 2 men tell me that they expect me to quit. So, its on my profile, because of that; plus, if someone who looks at it has that in common with me......thats a good thing... same as if they had weightlifting in common. I 'm not in karate to be a 'bad ass'- I'm in it because I enjoy it. I don't think your so called 'challenge' jokes were funny; more insulting. No, I don't want to know more.....I think I've heard enough.
PrettyTough.......there's at least 3 threads on tall men......it ended being about short men; so you wouldn't have found that on a search:)

Well this will sound nuts I know. I know this topic didn't mean how's sex with shorter guys..... BUT I'm 33 5'4" and the 3 most memorible people I have ever slept with have all been my height MAYBE an inch more MAYBE less. I have no clue what it is about them. There's a sexual position, I don't know what it's called but its basically missionary but he farther up or something. Women are suppose to be able to orgasm easier. I think because they are shorter and want to be more eye to eye with you, that they naturally end up in the right spot. All 3 were all pretty toned too if it matters. There have been very few men who I could orgasm with with sex alone. These are the 3......Yes, I've done some thinking on this subject. LOL. I like tall guys and all. I'm not basing anything on how tall he is but if I had to chose the height of the person I would spend the rest of my life with right this second and know nothing else, he'd be about the same height as I am just based from past sexual experience. I DID NOT SAY TALLER GUYS AREN"T GREAT TOO...not to start any argument. Not my intention. There are a lot of great advantages there too. I could end up with some 6'5" guy and be just as happy with him or someone 5'4" like me. But I do know for a fact with my body that I can orgasm easier and more often if they are closer to the same size as I am. Everyone is different, this is just my opinion about ME and my body.

Why get so defensive? I do like a challenge? I'm just being honest. How is that insulting? So rarely I have gotten decent challenges when sparring, the only challenges I had in my class were mostly the instructors.

I actually encourage women to join Martial arts, most women I have known weren't all into it, they join up, go up one rank and move on.

I think you are taking me the wrong way, my challenge posts are positive, not insulting at all.

Hey Pretty Tough. You Rock!
You are the champion of us short guys. (I`m 5ft.7in) You will protect us from those "Smurf" hating women. And you look like you can really kick some a$$.
To be serious you are one of the few women who do not seem to detest short males.
Thank you for being there for us.

Yep, lots to say about a persons height!! Well, I have been snickered at for being short, now I just don't give a damn. If a person is so shallow as to classify a person just on how tall or short he/she is well shall we remember, "You can't judge a book by its cover". Cheers all.

I like em--Gives me a feeling of control~~ ((I'm JK, REALLY))... I'm short, and used to hate it. Now, I'm more than happy with what god gave me. It's not like we're going to grow once we reach a certain age. Although, I remember trying this thing where I had to hang for hours and hours, trying to make my body "longer"~~~OMG

Well,,,,, I need a 7 foot chick so when she's on her knees, she can ...... woops heheheheh now that was my assssswipe side again :P

I dated a 6' girl once and I had to stand on the kerb to kiss her LOL it was a passionate time in my life and the height issue was over ruled by the sex :-) It was, however VERY hard to be a match and it did not last. If a tall girl rejects me, ok, that's cool, no wingin' from this shorty, I just move on and try to stay friends with her as friends don't discriminate about height

My biggest dating problem is my three daughters, most women run from single dads with more than one kid, but hey,,, my girls are my world and there can be no comprimise. I'm short and have kids and gettin on in age hehehe do ya think the cards are stacked against me lol. Oh well, life's more than cuddles and sex so crappy nappies are my only friend lmao.

Hey sugar, can you catch a plane to South Oz and give me a cuddle :-) ya spunkybum.

hambone.......ok; so now you say you are a martial artist; but when you made those 'challenges'...you sounded like a lot of guys who like to make fun of women in martial arts(especially when you don't mention it in your profile).....i'm getting sick of them!! i know what you mean about finding someone to spar with; I hate sparring with some women......the wimpy ones....... one of the reasons why i don't do tournaments anymore!!!
back to the topic.......we're all human!!!some people are picky; some aren't. it would be pretty boring if we were all the same.....right? I know I'd rather be with a short guy that's muscular than a tall guy that is scrawny.....

Hambone, I'm with chinua on this one. It was insulting, for reasons she mentioned.

I also mention martial arts in my profile, for the same reasons she mentioned also. Considering I train just about every day, it would be unfair not to tell someone about it because some guys would prefer someone who doesn't have such a consuming interest. My interest has produced problems in past relationships. They have issues with me spending more time on the mat than with them, the close contact with other guys, that I go to out-of-state tournaments and share a hotel room with male training buddies, that most of my friends are other guys, my pre-tournament diets, etc. Many guys tend to expect that I will just stop training once I get more serious with them, etc. With all these problems, it's better to let them know up front so the ones who have issues with it will bug off. I doubt guys have a lot of these issues, so it may be less relevant for you to let women know up front.

I don't "talk smack" as you call it, except when I'm trying to be funny, which usually involves making fun of myself. (which is what I was doing when you apparently mistook my joke as something else and told me I "better be able to back it up" and made fun of the very idea that I might be able to beat you.)

Looking for more kicks? There's a guy in the sports forum that claimed that he could beat many top name UFC fighters. (including Liddell, Ortiz, and Couture) He says that if Chuck Liddell tried to hit him, he would just rip out Chuck's jugular. Oh, and he can point out all the mistakes UFC fighters make, because of his wealth of experience which besides martial arts includes streetfighting, drugs, and prison. I was amused with him for a while, but now I'm done. Let me know if you need help finding the thread.

Why settle go for one that is tall & muscular as well

Ok back to the topic - unlike some things that can be improved, you cannot do much about your height.......
its perfectly fine to have a personal preference.....I prefer tall women too.....5-8 to 5-10 but it wont be a deciding factor.....
I snubbed a tall woman (5-10) once before because she was constantly poking fun at short people....she would make codescending jokes about them...call them shorty or smurf and even try to embarass her shorter male friends .this told me a lot about her charachter.

Well, I apoligize that you took it the wrong way, also with Chin.... I was "Skittin'" (Skit - a bit, a funny routine) trying some friendly banter. I was going to PM you my explanation, but you have restrictions set. :-)

I actually do like women who are into martial arts, just like I said, where I live they weren't much into it, or go up one or 2 belt ranks, and be done.....guess they could tell their friends "hey I know Karate/TKD or somethin' there was this one cute black belt, but she wasn't much sociable (kinda snobby) didn't stick around to socialize after class was over.

I remember when UFC first came out on Pay per view, back in the early 90's I think Joyce Grayce (Ju Jitsu) pretty much took it all for a good while.

You picked a good style, because 90% of fist fights wind up on the ground anyways. Go Gracie!!

I am thinking of finding another school though, different martial arts altogether, the place was turning into a nursury, (bunch of little kids) and all my adult friends left..and there was just nothing else to train for.

I live in an area where it seems martial arts is purely recreational (After-School Karate, they call it)

There's a business in my gym that teaches Shotokan they say they have like about 15 adult students, might check it out to see if there's no little old ladies or just not so aggressive people. But its like 65 bucks a month.

You ever try dating guys in your martial arts class? I've seen guys hook up with girls in class, we had this black belt who asked out this green belt, it didn't last actually, she kinda flaked out, they got physical a few times, were exclusive, then all of a sudden she wanted to "Slow down" and be friends....she was a local redneck, and had an ex-husband that was at the local jail.

Funny you mentioned getting out of the martial arts because your boyfriends would prefer you to....my friend who was a blackbelt and instructor there, met a girl (a groupie), who he started dating, they eventually married, and he quit the class, but now he teaches recreational stuff to the people at the local church once a week. Very nice, but kinda like getting demoted.

Yeah, there's people who actually avoid "Sparring night" on Tues nights. I don't get it, you wear protective gear for cryin out loud. LOL!

Anyways, I just playin' with you ladies.....

Now don't beat me up!

I've seen that "Vegas" show, where they show the kind of stuff that goes on Casina businesses kinda like a reality show/documentary.

They actually did a piece on the UFC, man those guys don't play around. Plus I cant do much grappling, my shoulder pops out of place alot. (Wonder if I should get that looked into)
