I view the internet as a tool to meet people you otherwise would have never met...not as some virtual world where I come to "hide" from REAL interaction...
I came across one girl who was hesitant....I suggested she give me her CELL # and she's reply's: "How bout we chat a little more and I'll decide when to give it to you..."

Posted: 11/30/2005 11:20:40 AM | | Totally agree with you.This is just a tool to meet others you wouldn't normally meet.As for myself,I am a single mom of 4.How am I supposed to get out and meet someone??As far as the bar goes,that is old and hard to meet someone there who isn't hammered beyond belief.I think some people do hide in here but that is their problem.The people who actually want to meet others will and not give a damn whether it's been a few emails or 50.Personally I want to meet face-to-face as that really is the only way to feel out someones body language and honestly,if there isn't some kind of physical attraction then you will just be internet buddies and hey,maybe he/she has a friend perfect for you.Just my opinion.And yes,have a date tonight with the guy I met off of POF.Coming over for supper.Things are looking up. | |

I don't mind meeting new people but I need to get to know them first a little to see what kind of person they are and if I would be interested in meeting them.
I don't lie and I'm totally honest but sometimes its harder then it seems to meet the right person.
Theirs a lot of crazies out there and some woman are scared to meet anyone in person just in case they're like a weirdo or something. Also a lot of people act a certain way until you meet them and get to know them and then its all straight to hell from there.
I've dated a few people off of this site and others but I still haven't found the right guy. Either they lose interest which I don't understand why I'm a funny girl and easy going and some I've lost interest...yikes!
Its just really depends what kind of person you end up talking to. | |
