TD Bank bought Ameritrade. That with Waterhouse under their belt makes them of the largest and most influential financial firms in North America.
In 2002, when Nortel reported its first loss, it halted traded on the Dow Jones because of the massive sell off for ALL securities. How much does the Dow Jones have to drop to halt trading?? 10% of it's index value. So back then the DOW had to drop at least 700 - 900 points to put a halt to trading!
On 9/11, the only electronic communications device that worked was the Blackberry ...NOT cell phones or Palms! This impacted the US Senate so much that they pushed for personnel and their armies to carry Blackberries ...not Palms!
America -- people, economy, financial markets and security etc are so incredibly influenced and dependent on us. It takes a real dumb person to not see this.

She was just catering to her base. I can't believe people are surprised at this. If you listen to the entire recording, people were cheering very loudly when she said it. The left has it's whackos as well, but not as hate filled as the GOP talking heads.
