Shawn did a beautiful rendition of this piece by Bach, and as Shawn's no longer with us (such a loss, too), the tears do well up when this song plays, as well as "Epilogue for Lisa" off of "Powers of Ten". | |

I have 3 songs:
Eclipse by Nightwish
Our Farewell by Within Temptation
Timelessness by Fear Factory
I know metal is supposed to be aggresive and violent, so how can a metal song make me cry? Well the violin and the heartbeat in timelessness is sad and in all three songs there are strong feelings of longing for love or having to say goodbye to someone close to you and the lyrics and sung with such emotion you can feel the sadness; the feeling of loss and emptiness.

For another one of similar vein, that *will* make just about anyone cry, check out Sharon Batts, "Dear Mr. Jesus" off the album "Shelter From The Storm" by PowerSource (1987). Sharon was 6 years old when it was recorded. To anyone that's never heard this song: Get it, borrow it, buy it, whatever, just listen to it.
