Posted: 2/5/2006 1:00:28 AM | I've been listening to a LOT of Eva Cassidy this week and her amazing voice and the way she put her soul into her singing makes it nearly impossible not to cry. The songs that really did it to me this week were:
Who Knows Where The Time Goes
Time Is A Healer
and especially Waly Waly
I don't think I've ever heard another song with so much emotion in it. Her voice is so delicate, powerful and haunting on Waly Waly that I still cannot get over it's beauty. Also knowing it was the very last song she was working on before her much too soon tragic death makes it even more sad to listen to.  Everytime I hear it my eyes begin to tear up. She was the greatest singer of our generation and I will put my money on it. Eva would have been 43 on Feb 2 and she never got to see any of the fame and recognition that began at the same time as she was so close to death.

I know some history, which upsets me even more to think about. Ryan was the one who walked in, and saw Jason right after he commited suicide. (Jason was the original bass player in Pennywise). | |
