| What song has made you cry? Posted: 3/3/2006 5:01:25 AM | Anna Nalick - Breathe
2 AM and she calls me 'cause I'm still awake, "Can you help me unravel my latest mistake?, I don't love him. Winter just wasn't my season" Yeah we walk through the doors, so accusing their eyes Like they have any right at all to criticize, Hypocrites. You're all here for the very same reason
'Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button, girl. So cradle your head in your hands And breathe... just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe
May he turn 21 on the base at Fort Bliss "Just a Day", he said down to the flask in his fist, "Ain't been sober, since maybe October of last year." Here in town you can tell he's been down for a while, But, my God, it's so beautiful when the boy smiles, Wanna hold him. Maybe I'll just sing about it.
Cause you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable, And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table. No one can find the rewind button, boys, So cradle your head in your hands, And breathe... just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe
There's a light at each end of this tunnel, You shout 'cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out And these mistakes you've made, you'll just make them again If you only try turning around.
2 AM and I'm still awake, writing a song If I get it all down on paper, it's no longer inside of me, Threatening the life it belongs to And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd Cause these words are my diary, screaming out loud And I know that you'll use them, however you want to
But you can't jump the track, we're like cars on a cable, And life's like an hourglass, glued to the table No one can find the rewind button now Sing it if you understand. and breathe, just breathe woah breathe, just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe, Oh breathe, just breathe.

| What song has made you cry? Posted: 3/3/2006 10:52:10 PM | Onward - by Yes ( I have a live version off a guitar player's CD)
Contained in everything I do There's a love, I feel for you Proclaimed in everything I write You're the light Burning, brightly Onward through the night Onward through the night Onward through the night of my life
Displayed in all the things I see There's a love you show to me Portrayed in all the things you say You're the day Leading the way Onward through the night Onward through the night Onward through the night of my life
Onward through the night Onward through the night Onward through the night of my life
Just after I got divorced, sometimes things were a little bleak. I was messed up, and broken. I suffered a great and bottomless depression, and lost about forty pounds (off my 220 lb. normal weight.) in about six weeks.
When I felt like my back was being forced into that wall with a thousand pounds of pressure, when I felt like it couldn't get any damn darker ( or colder), when I felt there really was no hope of things ever improving in my life - I'd do something.
My li'l sis from the Netherlands had sent me a friendship candle holder, as a present. It features four figures of Buddha sitting in a circle, with a space for a tea candle in the middle.
When I lit it, those Buddha figures would start to dance on the four walls of my darkened living room, as the candle flickered.
I'd listen to "Onward" on some headphones, and would just realize that this was the start of a voyage towards a much better future for myself.

It does have that magic.
Vangelis provided a few moments for me. Memories of Green (Used in the film Blade Runner)
One song that made me feel alive was after a long hospital stay and shrinking down to 119 pounds.....someone loaned me a portable tape player and a cassette of The Beatles - White Album... I came bouncing out of my bed to the tune of "Revolution".
Man, that juiced me right up!

Posted: 3/7/2006 7:12:27 PM | The Rain Song by Led Zepplin......It start's out about the begining of a beautiful love and goes through the season's and by the end His love is lost..... Everytime I hear it I cry, but it also makes me happy because I hope that someday I can also feel the love for another as Robert Plant did in that song.....

Falling through pages of Martens on angels Feeling my heart pull west I saw the future dressed as a stranger Love in a Space Dye Vest Love is an act of blood And I'm bleeding Pooled in the shape of a heart Beauty projection In the reflection Always the worst way to start

| What song has made you cry? Posted: 3/8/2006 11:58:27 PM | The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin, has always been a favorite of mine.
I prefer the live version from the soundtrack to the film "The Song Remains the Same". Jimmy uses a special tuning on his guitar for this song and it sounds simple, yet it is musically complex.
The Rain Song is a perfect example of Led Zeppelin's use of shades in their music. It is moody and when Plant wails towards the end of the song, it tugs at your heart.
The studio version on the Houses of the Holy is totally different than the live version.
Performed live, The Rain Song was a show stopper.
Robert Plant had some moments on his solo CD Fate of Nations. The song "Great Spirit" has a beautiful guitar solo that is totally in sync with his voice ... as he calls for the great spirit.
That song tugs at my heart as well.

| What song has made you cry? Posted: 3/15/2006 3:39:30 PM | What Hurts the Most - by Rascal Flatts....
-- doesn't remind me of anything or anyone, just saw the video and it was moving --
I can take the rain on the roof of this empty house That don’t bother me I can take a few tears now and then and just let them out I’m not afraid to cry every once in a while Even though going on with you gone still upsets me There are days every now and again I pretend I’m ok But that’s not what gets me
What hurts the most Was being so close And having so much to say And watching you walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you Is what I was tryin’ to do
It’s hard to deal with the pain of losing you everywhere I go But I’m doin’ It It’s hard to force that smile when I see our old friends and I’m alone Still Harder Getting up, getting dressed, livin’ with this regret But I know if I could do it over I would trade give away all the words that I saved in my heart That I left unspoken
What hurts the most Is being so close And having so much to say And watching you walk away And never knowing What could have been And not seeing that loving you Is what I was trying to do
Not seeing that loving you That’s what I was trying to do

We chase misprinted lies We face the path of time And yet I fight And yet I fight This battle all alone No one to cry to No place to call home
Oooh...Oooh... Oooh...Oooh...
My gift of self is raped My privacy is raked And yet I find And yet I find Repeating in my head If I can't be my own I'd feel better dead
Oooh...Oooh... Oooh...Oooh...

That scene with Liv Tyler saying good-bye to daddy Bruce Willis in the movie Armageddon... whew... I cry every time.
Def Leppard - Breathe a Sigh.... Slang came out during a breakup - it was my morose song.
