Oddly enough the song the battle of new orleans makes me cry cause it reminds me of my grandpa: In 1814 we took a little trip,
Along with colonel jackson down the mighty mississip.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans,
And we fought the bloody british in the town of new orleans.

We fired our guns and the british kept a comin’,
There wasn’t ’bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin’
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.

Oh we looked down the river and we seen the british come.
There must have been a hundred of ’em beatin’ on a drum.
They stepped so high and they made their bugles ring.
We stood behind our cotton bales and didn't say a thing.

Old hickory said we could take ’em by surprise,
If we didn't fire our muskets till we looked ’em in the eyes.
We held our fire till we seen their faces well,
Then we opened up our squirrel guns and gave ’em a little...well....we...

....fired our guns and the british kept a comin’,
There wasn’t ’bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin’
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.

We fired our cannons till the barrels melted down,
Then we grabbed an alligator and we fired another round.
We filled his head with cannonballs and powdered his behind,
And when we touched the powder off, the gator lost his mind.

We fired our guns and the british kept a comin’,
There wasn’t ’bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin’
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.

We fired our guns and the british kept a comin’,
There wasn’t ’bout as many as there was awhile ago.
We fired once more and they began to runnin’
On down the mississippi to the gulf of mexico.

what about this one?
Iyieiei, feels like fire
I'm so in love with you
Dreams are like angels
They keep bad at bay
Love is the light scaring darkness away
I'm so in love with you
Burns the soul
Make love your goal

The power of love
A force from above
Cleaning your soul
Flame on with desire
Love with tons of fire
Make love your goal

Frankie Goes to Hollywood, and no, i'm not gay, just appreciating beautiful lyrics!

Weathered by Creed.

I had losta friend to the morphine and cocaine combination. 24 years old, own house iwth indoor pool n, I swear, Holloywood worthy connected hottub; and all the vise that could go with that; I'm sure...no..I know. (Sometimes questions didnt nedot be asked..the evidence is already on the table and confirmed by 2 or 3 who would not confirm were it"not"..ya know?)

*shrugs*

How would I know..I was in Toronto doing battle on another front.

When Lee died, many were afraid of my reaction, considering I had many parties who MAY be vry interested in the fallout or charges which may come from such a high profile funeral and drug OD.

I was, indeed, "covered in skin"..and leather....and blue.....and noone else could handle the "dealin with it" that needed to be done.

No pressure, just..lots of very afraid and heavily invested and hedged people combined with those who were so vry ready to help me take down those "who ar eresponsible" as they likd to say.

ppfftt, you know sh*t buddy. (but ,....thank you)

My tears when I heard this song, at the write time...were indeed "red tears". "War" as a natural cry, but against "who"?

SO many would not deal with the fallout or move to make sure things wer eok on other fronts...OR, conversley, that those who were dumb enough to violate the Stones "Sister MOrphine" rule knew thier mistake and regulated their people appropriately.

SO many people...so very invested. And one lil man who lost his uncle Tigger, who was the only guy I have ever known who lived more extravegant and took on more than myself.

CLAN MAGREGGOR!! He took it to heart, for he was one. For real too, amazing family.

Were I there..it never would have happened. You see; because I was his partner through all of the highschool and University parties in which we went the distance on anything and anyone there was the distance to be gone on. Rented 6 rooms at teh Dead Shows to enjoy and proift form anything and everything there was to enjoy and profit from. AND TO LEARN.

He took that, which were I there, would never have been left in the pile..to be taken.

Nobody else could regulate this guy..ever. He did more than everyone..with pride....always.

24 years old and already a shoe in for head forman of a very well known Aeronomics plant. (Not even unionized..toughest wins..and LEE....was..the toughest)

However..he would not outdo me; because I could ovrcome or withstand his persuasion, handle his strngth, out influence his influence..OR AT LEAST match him on most counts.

I wasn;'t there to be the ying....so yang had to die. (I suppose) ONe plays dumb..the other goes "smart" right? But..what if there is only "one".

mm hmm

You think a Corvette slices through traffic and hostile cars at high speeds? YOu should have seen how fast and definitive "I" got my face to faces and quests for knowledge fulfilled.

Many hid, others gave me what I needed immediately.

IN truth, noone could have STOPPED Lee from outpartying anyone who may party. Biker, millionaiire, politician, MObster, Hooker, University Frosh, trucker, shipper, salesmen, anyone...Lee would outparty all. It was nooones fault...the sh*t just shouldnt have been at the same party with eachother. The "main man" should have klnown what was at his parties..but..hey..what can ya do. (He knows now)

Not like losing Lee didn;t hurt him..hu? He was a biug fan..it was a mistake. Shit happens. It hurt us all. (And I was off in the BIg City living like a King playing Cops N Robbers n chasin guns which were stolen form some local well knowns , the Lawyer to be..Frrosty in the clubs, prowlin the nights..real....fantasy...and bullsh*t)

Meanwhile my brother was back home having every fantasy piled on him over and over and over again....(lets see you survive that)

"Weathered"; Ya; I've been there dude.

I just wish the fakwin rain would have hit ME harder than it hit my brother and the best friend I've ever had. IN truth; I think it probably did....the rainafter that funeral..was pretty damned strong. Ever known people who have went to jail on purpose? (I've never been there)..but THAT was the kinds of deals and sentiments which were being passed around.

What can ya do;....life.

Only one. Wind of Change.

I follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change
An August summer night
Soldiers passing by
Listening to the wind of change

The world is closing in
Did you ever think?
That we could be so close, like brothers
The future's in the air
I can feel it everywhere
Blowing with the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change

Walking down the street
Distant memories
Are buried in the past forever

Follow the Moskva
Down to Gorky Park
Listening to the wind of change

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow dream away
In the wind of change

The wind of change blows straight
Into the face of time
Like a stormwind that will ring
The freedom bell for peace of mind
Let your balalaika sing
What my guitar wants to say

Take me to the magic of the moment
On a glory night
Where the children of tomorrow share their dreams
With you and me

Someone close to me died and this song is a constant reminder.

ive never cried to a song...

BUT literature does evoke alot of internal emotion of the same sort.

probably the songs that struck a chord the most with me would be.

long december- counting crows.
rock and roll is a vicious game- april wine
champaign super nova -oasis (i also had to deal with a friend who got too hooked up on drugs....)
Broadway- goo goo dolls.
Black balloon- goo goo dolls <---what happened to their mnusic and why does it blow now?
Angie- rolling stones.

theres millions more.....but meh

World So Cold Mudvayne

When passion's lost
And all the trust is gone
For way too far
For way too long
Children crying
Cast out and neglected
Only in a world so cold
Only in a world this cold
Hold the hand of your best friend
Look into their eyes
Then watch them drift away
Some might say
We've done the wrong things
For way too long
For way too long
Fever inside the storm
So we're turning away
Away from the game
Away from the storm
It's like through mending the worlds of us
Keep your thorn
Cuz I'm running away
Away from the games
Away from the space
The circumstances of a world so cold
Burning whispers
Remind me of the days
I was left alone
In a world this cold
Guilty of the same things
Reveled by the cause
I've left alone in a world so cold
Fever inside the storm
So we're turning away
Away from the game
Away from the storm
Its like through mending the worlds of us
Keep your thorns
Cuz I'm running away
Away from the games
Away from space
The circumstances of a world so cold
I'm flying
I'm flying away
Away from the games
Away from the flames
The circumstances of a world so COLD
Why does everyone feel like my enemy
Don't want any part of depressional darkness
I've had enough, sick and tired,
Bring the sun or I'm gone
or I'm gone, I'm packing out, I'm no more no motherf**kin' shit
Never lied, never loved, never lived, never lost, never hurt
never worried about being afraid,
Of anyone else, not a care, no concern, don't give a shit about
anything,
Packing out, giving up, no motherf**kin' shit never lived, never
lied, never lived, never
lived, never loved, never loved, never hate never worried about
being afraid,
Of anyone else, not a care, no concern, don't give a shit about
anything,
I need to find a darkened corner,
A darkened corner, A blackless corner
where its safer and calmer
I'm drowning away, away from the game away from flame
Cause I feel mending the worlds of us,
I'm running away, away from the game away from this space
Of circumstances of a world so cold,
I'm flying, I'm flying away, away from the game away from the
game
Of circumstances of a world so cold

Once In A Blue Moon by Sydney Forest

The room is empty
The lights are dim
And heart wonders if
I'll ever see you again
My tears are hugary
For an open door
When your arms held me
I never felt that way before

I'll be waiting and
I'll be watching
Under a blue moon
Taste of heaven
We'll be happy
Once in a blue moon

Do you remember
When the wind blew free
We fit together
So naturally

I'll be waiting and
I'll be watching
Under a blue moon
Taste of heaven
We'll be happy
Once in a blue moon

When the wind
Closes a door
It will open another

I'll be waiting and
I'll be watching
Under a blue moon
Taste of heaven
We'll be happy
Once in a blue moon
Once in a blue moon

I was there
When you shone as bright as Bethleham from afar
I was there
When you were young and strong and perverted
And everything that makes a young man a star
Oh, you were a star

I was there
And I swear to God and on my mother's grave
On everything I have or ever will embrace
I was there
And saw it with my own two eyes

And now it's all around me, it's all around me
I'm surrounded
And now it's all around me, it's all around me
You surrounded me like a circle

Do do do do do do do

I was there
Come on, tell me I wasn't worth stickin' it out for
Well I was there
And I know I was worth it, 'cause if I wasn't worth it
That makes me worse off than you are

It's all around me, it's all around me
I'm surrounded
You know it's all around me, it's all around me
You surround me like a circle

But don't you lose sight of me now
Don't you lose sight of me now
Do do do do do do do
Don't lose sight of me now

'Cause I was there
When they dropped the bomb
You know I remember the bomb
And I still hear the bomb
And I still fight the bomb
You know I still fear the bomb
You know I still hate the bomb
Sometimes I still get the call

So don't you lose sight of me now
Don't you lose sight of me now

You know you're all around me, you're all around me
(Don't you lose)
I'm surrounded
(Sight of me now)
You know you're all me, you're all around me
(Don't you lose)
I'm surrounded
(Sight of me now)
You know you're all around me, you're all around me
(Don't you lose)
I'm surrounded
(Sight of me now)
Now it's all around me, you're all around me
You surround me like a circle

I'm surrounded, oh
Ah ah, like a circle around me...
La la la la la la la la
All around me now
Oh.......

Last Kiss by Pearl Jam

Oh where Oh where
Can my baby be?
The Lord took her
Away from me
She's gone to heaven
So I've got to be good
So I can see my baby
When I leave this world

We were out on a date
In my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road
Straight ahead
A car was stalled
The engine was dead
I couldn't stop so I
Swerved to the right
I'll never forget the
Sound that night
The screamin' tires
The bustin' glass
The painful scream
That I heard last

Oh where Oh where
Can my baby be?
The Lord took her
Away from me
She's gone to heaven
So I've got to be good
So I can see my baby
When I leave this world

When I woke up the
Rain was pourin down
There were people
Standin all around
Something warm
Going through my eyes
But somehow I found
My baby that night
I lifted her head
She looked at me and said
"Hold me darlin just a little while"
I held her close I kissed her
Our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I'd miss
Well now she's gone even though I
Hold her tight
I lost the love of my life that night

Oh where Oh where
Can my baby be?
The Lord took her
Away from me
She's gone to heaven
So I've got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

My Immortal by Evanesence

I'm so tired of being here
Suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave
I wish that you would just leave
Cause you presence still lingers here
And it won't leave me alone
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just to real
There's just to much that time cannot erase

When you cried I wiped away all of your tears
When you screamed I fight away all of your fears
I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

You used to captivate me by your resinating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away all of the sanity in me
These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just to real
There's just to much that time cannot erase

When you cried I wiped away all of your tears
When you screamed I fight away all of your fears
I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me I've been alone all along

When you cried I wipe away all of your tears
When you screamed I fight away all of your fears
I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

Neighborhood by Vonda Shepard

Here's a photo I've been looking for
It's a picture of the boy next door
And I loved him more than words could say
Never knew it till he moved away
Faded pictures in my scrapbook
Just thought I'd take one more look
And recall when we were all in the neighborhood

Here's a photo of the neighborhood
Here's the corner where we stood
Here's a snapshot of Dad's old car
Never got us very far
Faded pictures in my scrapbook
Just thought I'd take one more look
And recall when we were all in the neighborhood

And all those friends
Where did they go
I don't know
And all those friends
We used to know
In the neighborhood
