You betcha Fred!!

We get a little spoiled with all those unexpected head-massages out of the blue, huh?

And somehow they always seem to come back for more too. I've been trying to figure out what that's all about for a while now. Not tryingta stop it mind you, but just figure it out.

Just an honest question so don't shoot/flame me! If a fella is going bald, why would he not just shave it all off as opposed to having the odd tuff of hair here an there??? Bald can be very sexy on a man! So guys, what's your take on this?

I've shaved my head for 10 years + now. Bare is better than balding as far as I'm concerned. I've also heard quite often that "bald can be sexy on a man". In my experience, more women still seem to prefer men with hair. Who cares? I like shaved.

Well i shave all year, every day if i can.
And to be honest i think being bald suits me.
I feel sexier shaved smooth to the scalp and shining like a beacon in the dark.
And when the compliments start coming..well, what can i say??

I never want stubble on my head..i want it so smooth soft and shiny, not even a fly can land.
So who likes that? lol

Remember back when Don Johnson made that constant 5 o'clock shadow look so popular in Miami Vice? I find my kids kind of like that on my head if I don't shave for a day or two...they like the bristly feel. Seems to me my last g/f didn't like that bristly feel too much though!!

I can never decide on what to do. I shave it short, bristly, then I let it grow a few inches, which means I need to use gel to keep it down, then I cut it again cause it's just so manageable and feels good. I can still remember the first day I took a handful of hand cream and rubbed it all over my head. Oh man that feels good after wearing a ball cap all day.

Just can't do the bald shave yet. It's pretty darn scary that first time shaving isn't it? Like someone said , if I was in love and my SO wanted me to , I would try it then, at least someone would still love me.

So do you have to shave all the time, do you wax it, do you do it yourself, or salon, what if your head isn't round, what if it's all marked up, what if ......... inquiring baldies want to know.

And I can't even get my chin smooth, and it's right in front of my face !

Bald can certainly be sexy.

I don't have a hard and fast rule on whether or not a man has hair on his head - what matters is that I like him and am attracted to him mentally and physically.

When I worked at Best Buy (a few yrs ago) a number of the staff shaved their heads while a co-worker was undergoing cancer treatments.

I'd say if a man is curious about how he'd look bald - go to the salon, get your head shaved and see. And if you hate it, there are always hats plus when it's growing back in and is all fuzzy you *know* there will be a number of females who will want to feel it.

Hey Jack..
Wouldnt use the Gillette MAch 3..
Way overpriced...and dont last kissing time.
Prefer sensor extreme 3s...i believe under the brand shick in the us/canada. wilkinson sword here in europe.
They last longer, they flex, they wash out easier, and the damn strip doesnt come away off the razor after just 2 shaves!

Just my euro 2c worth :-)

I agree that women find some bald men sexy but there are some that just look wierd, I guess it's in the eye of the beholder, but like different haircuts on women change the overall appearance (superficial I admit) but nevertheless first impressions count a lot in this medium of communication.. but I would be willing if the woman I'm with thinks she would like it. ( I'm indifferent except for the upkeep necessary to keep it smooth as a babies bum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

^^^Do you get a discount too considering? JK

Oops OT: Sure I think it can be quite hot actually, some ppl even look better bald. It's part of aging so there's a good chance many will eventually go bald...for better or for worse as they say.

VVVV Dante I can't wait to see that one. Someone just might get lost in there! LOL

I have no preference, or judgement, for what's on a man's head. Believe it or not, fellows (and read this thread in its entirety if you don't), WE DON'T CARE if you're balding. I repeat... WE DON'T CARE!

But...

We do care if you insist on hanging on to the strands that you have left, or masking what's gone. That just smacks of desperation, and you aren't fooling ANYONE. Got it? Makes me wonder... what next? Grecian Formula? Spray-on paint? (Barf). If you're going patchy, keep it very short - buzzed. If you're at the monk's fringe point, get rid of it completely. And please lose the ponytail, if that's what you're doing with your fringe. And never, never, never, NEVER dye your hair, your beard, or your eyebrows! It just looks pathetic.

My two cents. Trust me on this one.

Never?? But a lot of women do. I prefer my goat darker.

VVV No offence taken.... Just teasing. I hate a gray beard. It makes me look 10 years older than I am... just don't want to give up the face foliage. Without some hair somewhere....my head could be mistaken for a bowling ball!!

^^^

Guys should never use hair dye. It's just wrong, and completely unnecessary.

If y'all need to focus on something to improve your appearance, and make you feel younger, a gym membership or an active lifestyle is a good place to start. Just my humble opinion (and by no means at shot at you, Jeep).

I think that you are very open to ask us so im going to tell you my point of view. Don't worry im not a mean person!

First off my father is bald because like the question that you asked why? not just shave it all off well my dad had no choice he had that sparattic hair loss where the only thing that made sense was to shave it off. (Genetics steps in and deals me a more relaxed balding pattern. I can keep my hair short like i always have because i have male pattern baldness. Like that is supposed to make a differnce. Any way i geuss what i'm trying to say is that not all men are ready to give up on what they have no cotrol over. Yah we are funny like that sometime but if you fell good in your own skin,I DO, then let nature take its course. I think ill be sexy no matter what, lol.

I hope this helped, take care of your hair!

Been shaving my head for over five years. I used to have a goatee but ppl told me that I looked too mean. I wasn't thinning when I first started, but now that's probably the reason why I wouldn't grow it back.

A friend of mine and I had this discussion not too long ago...she says I should shave my head...I disagree, cause I've seen myself with a shaved head and I don't think it suits me. Personally I think I look like a 100 watt lightbulb. So I'm not so sure on the, "if you're losing your hair, shave it off" suggestion.

Hair or no hair, it is what's inside that counts.... but I have to say I don't mind a clean head or a long mane. Either one is sexy to me.
