| If you had your choice to travel tomorrow where would you go? Posted: 2/21/2006 9:51:32 PM | | Anywhere in the world...You know, if the idea of being stuck in a little submarine didn't freak me out, I think traveling to the Titanic would be amazingly interesting. I have a pet peeve with disrespectful people, though...look, learn, record, but don't touch...it is a grave site!...More traditionally speaking, probably Europe as a whole. I think it would be incredible to absorb each country - dive into the history, customs, and culture...just make sure to pack the granola bars because I'm kind of a fussy food person! | |

Take a flight into Catania (International airport) and take the 3 hour train ride back through the mountains to Taormina and Gardenia, Sicily. It's the only way to get there because there isn't any highways to it. While standing on the overlook in Taormina looking over the bay and city of Gardenia you can look off to the north and see the active volcano Mt. Etna. Awesome, Awesome view!! I will go back there some day. One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited and I have traveled all over the world.
Absolutely gorgeous place!!
Spent a week there and would love to go back with someone special.

First Florence, then Venice, followed by Sicily and Naples. We'd go there to look at the architecture and the art. Eat authentic "Italian" food and furthermore we'd take our shoes off and go to that fountain in La Dolce Vita and walk through it.

Posted: 3/22/2006 8:57:38 PM | | I would visit the Louvre Museum to see Arcimboldo's work and then I would go to Toulouse to walk on real cobblestone streets and use the communal water pump at the end of the street. BUT, if we were broke, I would go to Detroit to see Fuseli's painting The Nightmare that I just swear is representative of Othello (long story).
