I would buy all the veggies and tofu his little heart desired and then plump the grocery bag down in front of him and say, with a smile of course, "Here ya go sweetie, get cooking " and then after he served me the non-meat stir-fry I would add the delicious chunks of chicken and get eating...mmmmmm | |

Posted: 3/5/2006 6:32:40 AM | Sure I would try and find stuff that the guy could eat and I am sure he himself knows alot of recipes or places that he can go eat.
I mean I myself don't eat that much meat but I eat eggs and fish. So the guy would have to not freak out at me and try to change me into what he totally eats and I would not try and change what he eats. | |

and I also know there are lots of veggies to cook but as a BBQ l'ver veggies just wouldn't cut it!!

Posted: 5/23/2006 2:46:07 PM | i dated a vegan and always respected his choice. i'd always made sure that what i made, he was able to eat, or i'd make a seperate dish for him.
to me, it's just a non-issue. as long as you respect each others choices who cares?
and people who are vegetarian/vegan know that there will be times when they won't be able to eat everything in a meal that is given to them so they tend to be very understanding.
now if he's a jerk about it and demands that everyone cater to his needs, well then that's a whole other issue. | |

Then we got engaged. Suddenly there was only room in the fridge for Soya milk. And the people that tell you that vegan burgers and dogs taste "almost" like the real thing are being polite.
Could I date one, sure. Serious LTR? Not a hope. To many ends to the compromises.
Gout? Wow. Most people that have gout are told to lower thier chloresterol and Stop Drinking! Especially red wine. I know. I'm a meat eater that was diagnosed with it. 'Course back then 42oz Steaks with red wine and creamy smashed potatoes with a nice port and cigar on the deck after supper were common weekend events. The fix was kinda obvious.

Posted: 5/29/2006 5:43:02 PM | I do not get along well with vegans/vegetarians because a) I am not a fan of fruits & veggies, well when I have to eat them all the time b) I love my meat, I eat meat just about every day and just about every meal c) I've dated a vegetarian a couple years ago that always ****ed about how bad meat is for me and so on...I don't care, I eat what I want and what tastes good. I respect people when they have their opinions but just do not tell me what to eat when the only thing I love more than life is eating a damn good steak
If God, not that I believe in him or anything, didn't want humans to eat meat then there wouldn't be any edible, delicious animals living on earth | |

If he respected my choice to not eat meat, I would definitely respect his. I'm not one of those hardcore vegans that would chain herself to a tree, or run around naked in protest.. lol | |
