First off-I don't join in the Forums very often, but I breeze through them occasionally and I swear I have seen this come up with you before! You don't seem unattractive by ANY standards except your own... If you are posting on here for reassurance, then please take comfort in all the reponses you have received. There are guys on here saying they don't find you ugly at all! (in fact, they find you quite the opposite!) However, if you seriously think that you are so unattractive, then why would you be fighting people who have a different opinion of you? A compliment is a compliment, and my mother always taught me to thank someone who said nice things to me, instead of downplaying or disagreeing with the statement. If someone says you are pretty..say "Thank You" and let it be. Everyone has insecurities about themselves and the way they look to some degree. But by showing self-confidence and gracefully accepting their opinions (which they are entitled to) you only look that much better! All of that being said, what is inside is what really counts..so let your inner beauty shine out and to hell with what anyone else thinks!

I do thank people when I reseave a comeplement...I might not agree with it but hey. It is a nice and sweet thing to do so thank you for that.

All through my life (untill now) I've beent old that I am ugly...so I strongly believe it and hearing someone go against that is defferent to me. Maybe it is hard to exsept. I'm not sure. | |

As for the rest, You are given eyes, but will not see, Ears yet do not listen... All I can say is, those that think you are not ugly, that may describe you as cute, pretty or even beautiful are seeing things that you do not. Two people can look at the same piece of artwork and see completely different things, Some can look at the Mona Lisa and see only that it is a very nice portrait of a nice looking lady... and that is all that they will see regardless of what you say.
I have found that there are a lot, perhaps even a majority of folk that do not have the capacity to see the... entire picture, they will focus on a given aspect of something (say a nose that is too long or something silly) and they are forever doomed to miss seeing the rest of it.... sad....
The best that I can tell you is, accept what folk say to you, with grace and perhaps a blush, you have just brightened their day.... you need not understand it.

I've read the other replies and they've all said it better than I probably will, but here goes -
If what you are on the outside does not measure up to what you are on the inside does it matter?
No ones perfect, we all live our lives in a similar way - school, work, fun, friends, etc,. Im at least 2 stone overweight. Im not going to be a size 10, I am not drop dead gorgeous, but I am happy in myself 80% of the time, even though life throws a unpleasent event or two.

If you think you are ugly, it will be reflected internally and result in confidence issues. If some guy expresses interest in you, you'll be all like "I'm ugly, so he must be settling", or "I'm ugly so he'll leave me when a cuter girl catches his eye" or "I'm ugly, so he must just be looking to get an easy lay by someone desperate for affection"...all of those are unhealthy ways of thinking.

My point is, everyone goes through a point where they self loathe...only to find that someone out there is actually interested in them for what they are. If you think you are ugly (which you are not, you have a great figure) you could always experiment with the hair, changing the color, trying on a different look, etc, etc, Rest assured, there is always someone out there who is attracted to you the way you are because you have a certain look or quality they find appealing. | |
