Posted: 2/3/2005 2:32:30 PM | | ok girl i never looked how old you are but this is something i woulda said to myself 8 years ago when i was 17... now i may not be the best looking to some but i do get hit on alot only problem... all the are after is my looks... you may not be stunning but you arent ugly either, i find its girls like you that can get someone that really wants them... dont take that the wrong way but when guys get past the looks and are with someone that may not be the best looking on the outside that is when you know they really wanna be with them and they dont give a sh*t what anyone else thinks... the prettier you are the harder it gets even though it may seem the reverse | |

but girls don't care about that, they care about you being cut not so true its that age old addict bout men only wanting barbie doll types. not very practical in this day and age, nice to look at but there is more to life than that. my ex is overweight by about 80 pounds has man boobs and everything but he was and is still very sexy to me though he is the only bigger person i dated looks dont make a relationship! though u do have to be attracted to them there lots of different things people are attracted to depends on the person u look fine to me too | |

Posted: 2/6/2005 3:33:08 PM | if we all say "You're ****ing hideous" will you argue with that? I'm sure you wouldn't let someone come up and say that to your face. You would try just as hard to convince yourself you're not as you do to convince others you're ugly.
Why can't you just take a compliment nicely when someone says you're pretty or you're not ugly? If you wrote something, or painted a picture, played a song, lol I don't know, do you do anythign like that? haha and they said it was great, would you say "no, I sucked, I did that wrong and blah blah blah"?
Maybe you're too swept up in the ideas of what a woman SHOULD look like. Nobody is ugly, and if you're not happy with your appearance then try to do something about it. For example, if someone is chubby, they can lose weight. If they're too skinny, they can work out to turn it into muscle. If someone wants to stand out a bit more, it doesn't take much to take a bit of time to do your hair or whatever. Ok? Ok. :-) | |

Posted: 2/6/2005 3:55:45 PM | You won't belive anyone that says you're not Ugly. I think it's a self esteem issue. There are things you can do to improve yourself, if you wish to be prettier. Go to your local beauty school, all the girls are young, and willing to help anyone, and it's inexpensive. Get a new hairstyle, ask for the best way to do make up, and any other questions you may have.
Try to see the best in yourself, not the worst.
If all this doesn't help, maybe talk to a councler at school, or a good friend that is supportive. Good luck Sweetie... | |

Posted: 2/6/2005 7:07:28 PM | hmmm....ok i am gonna say this again......no one is perfect 10 to everyone, i dont expect to be and i have showgirl and model background.....because no one really knows whats gonna stand out about you and attract someone's attention....but rest assured, that when the right one spots you, then you will be a 10 in his eyes and that's the way it should be....
here's some homework that should help: sit down with a paper and pencil and make a list of 10 things you really like about yourself......give yourself 1 month to complete the list so that you dont feel pressured. dont worry about how small or insignificant something on the list is, if you like it about yourself, write it down and build on it..........and dont worry, building self esteem takes time, but YOU are worth it....it took me a long time to learn to look at my self from the inside out but now i like what i see and it shows in how i interact with the people around me.......... | |

Why question what others think and just accept the fricken compliment!!
Everyone has differing levels of whats ugly or not and the girls who question why a guy thinks she's cute, beautiful or even a HOTTIE!! have to me been with dumb azz guys with security problems who felt better by tearing down a girl so she thinks she cant do better than his dumb aZZ!! Not everyguy is out to get a piece just because he plays a compliment on a good looking girl. If you think a guy is trying for a piece just take the compliment and walk away. | |
