We get full on the peanuts bread and dinner salad and take home the chicken and vegatables. The chicken and vegatables are added to pasta and make 3 dinners that are frozen for later. Total is 5 dinners for the cost of 1 and a box of pasta and a evening out.

Lol, that is one helluva good deal. Peanuts and bread sounds like a Logan's Steakhouse and I can remember filling up on the same stuff too.

Muscle + Low Body Fat - Average
Minimal Muscle + Minimal Body Fat - Thin
Muscle + High Body Fat - A few Extra pounds
Minimal Muscle + High Body Fat - BBW
Bad New: Some people may have little muscle, don't eat right and don't work out yet they are able to wear their fat deceptively and can pass for average. Unfortunately these types of of people are unhealthy and are coasting by on their genetics. If they don't improve their lifestyle their health and appearances will decline with age.
Some people may have little muscle, don't eat right and don't work out yet remain very skinny. These people are also unhealthy but unfortunately won't be viewed as such by society. Their health and appearances will also decline with age if there is no lifestyle change.
Lift weights, educate yourself on nutrition and be active to keep your body fat levels low.

Intelligence ratings....lol Okay...I'm just kidding those may not turn out so good for some...I'm above average for that

| about average build ? Posted: 5/17/2008 5:09:28 AM | Unfortunately....some believe that the classification or scale of wieght is relative to the group of people they're with at any given time......it is not.
There are basic and fundamental standards. Pretending one is average when they are obviously overweight deludes only one person....theselves.
Just say no to "weight relativism"...........

| about average build????? Posted: 5/17/2008 9:24:12 AM | I agree 1happiness......And this is why I think we need different profile headings when it comes to weight classifications.
Maybe this is why I have on my profile that you need to have a picture(s) for contact. It is not an issue of being shallow, but more of a reality, in order to find out what that person really looks like, what their body type is, and how nature has treated them with their age range.
What all of this has forced many of us to do, is to look at pictures first and foremost, and then research the profile characteristics. The combination between actual looks and a real profile takes some time to decipher........
Just my opinion.........

| about average build????? Posted: 5/17/2008 9:35:08 AM | “Average” is a quantitative term. It’s the middle position on a scale of evaluation and it depends on what is being evaluated and how much there is of whatever is being evaluated. It has nothing to do with BEING weight and height proportionate.
If you evaluate or rate 500 people and more than 50% of them have brown hair, you could conclude that the average hair color of your sample is brown. Similarly, if you rate 5 million people, and more than 50% of them are 40 or 50 pounds over the weight they should be for their height and body type, then you would conclude that the average for that sample IS 40 to 50 pounds overweight.
An “average” of anything changes as the sample of what is being evaluated changes. Given that a high proportion of North Americans weigh more than they should, saying that they are “average” is quite accurate.

| about average build????? Posted: 5/17/2008 10:22:04 AM | I get nervous when people put "average build." As several other people have noted, the "average" person is overweight these days. And "healthy" is often a friendly way of saying heavy. I am in the lower end of the ideal weight and BMI range for my height, but I put "slender" because most people consider me skinny (especially in comparison with the average which is now overweight and bordering on obese.)
I'm looking for someone else who is a truly healthy weight, so when I see a guy who has "average" checked, I wonder if he means average as in overweight like the average American. When I see "a few extra pounds," I envision obese. There are a lot of people in denial out there...

A woman who is 5'4, 140 pounds muscle with 10% body fat is healthier than a woman who is 5'4, 130 pounds with 15% body fat and minimal muscle.

| about average build????? Posted: 5/19/2008 11:25:03 PM | I can't understand all this crap about weight issues! Why is it so important? Average built? No such thing really. What I call average and you call average can be a big difference! I took a look at three different charts, for what a person at a certain age should weigh. To be in a healthy range. All the charts had differences up to 15 lbs. When I came across this post it reminded of a letter I received from a guy just last week. I guess I can be a real b*tch when stuff like this hits me the wrong way! Like this post! Sounded like he was an average idiot! Over 50 with a not so average (small) body part. Needless to say I never got a reply back after I answered this letter! His letter: Hi C!!! Thanks for the response and for the compliment on Victoria!!She really is a great young woman!!! I'd love to get together sometime, and do'nt take this personally, but I need A better definiton of what you consider to be "average".I'm 5' 6'',150 lbs and don"t date women that do'nt take care of themselves, sorry to be so forward,I just do'nt find large women attractive. I'm not saying that you are,you appear to be quite gogeous!!!,But if you do'nt look good in a bikini, there is no use going any further with this!!! Sweet dreams, A__. My letter back to him: Thanks for writting back, A___. But I'm not fat but not skinny either. Funny! You like small women and I like men slighty on the heavy side. Like if someone is 5'8 I'd not be attracted unless their at least 180lbs, maybe even 10 lbs more than that. Nothing wrong what you find attractive! Got to be with someone that you find physically attractive. We're all different in our needs or likes. Good luck to you! And to be honestly truthful! The men I end up staying with have to be 6 inches or more and thick! Bigger the better! (lol) Cy___ | |

| about average build????? Posted: 5/20/2008 5:31:52 AM | I choose to shave my head but have to put Bald on my profile. Average build can mean totally different things depending on your height/weight ratio and is fundementally misleading. If you are a lady who is 5'2" and a size 14 for example then you can look fat but add 6" to your height and you just look curvy.
The whole average thing is/can be frought with problems, buy hey ho such is life today!!

Ha! Sorry, just had to point out that the first woman would not be so healthy actually, and in fact probably would have stopped having periods. 10% body fat is way too low for any woman but perhaps a serious weightlifter. Women need 10-12% body fat and most athletes are actually in the mid to upper teens as far as body fat percent. Even up to about 25% is still very healthy for a woman. 15% body fat would rarely be paired with "minimal muscle". It just isn't a good example. At 5'4", the only way 140 is a healthy weight is if she is fairly large boned and yes, pretty darn muscular.
To be fair, I don't blame slightly overweight people for putting average. It IS average for this country, I guess. I think what the point is, is that you should probably be more aware of what others believe to be average as it really doesn't matter what you think (we're talking about attraction, right?) Best to put what you sense the majority thinks so that you aren't a disappointment; better to be a pleasant surprise.

average now days for women is size 10-14. 115-125 is very thin. It really isn't, it is just that at least in the United States people as a whole have gotten heavier. At 5'4" tall, weighing 120 pounds and wearing a size six, I don't think of myself as thin, much less very thin. I started my diet today and hope to loss 15 pounds. I feel a lot better when I am around 105 pounds. I have a lot more energy when I am at that weight. I plan on keeping it off once I get it off. It is very easy for me to lose weight.
Maybe if a woman was 5'10" tall that weight would make her very thin!!!

| about average build????? Posted: 5/22/2008 12:29:00 PM | Bmi and weight charts are relatively useless. Some people are going to carry a lot more muscle (or less) than average...
I'm a big fan of body fat percentage as a measuring stick. For guys I'd say 4-15% body fat is athletic, 16-25% is average, and anything over 25% is overweight. There are easy ways to measure body fat, and it's a lot more honest (and unforgiving). One of my skinniest friends is about 28% body fat, and it was a wake up call for him to be healthier
Women of course will have much higher body fat percentages on average, but that's easily researchable :)

| about average build????? Posted: 5/22/2008 12:53:05 PM | I wish there was the "In shape, but ate too much over the winter" option.
I am told by doctors ,ect. , that I have a good build. I also need to drop a few pounds to feel better abour myself, as the winter kinda kicked my proverbial butt. So, with biking season upon me, I wil lbe back to riding my mountain bike more often. I have a size 32 waist. I wear a large, or medium shirt, depending on who makes it. I would say thats closer to average than anything else, but I also am pretty active...maybe I too need to change my profile.
bottom line, some people do in fact feel better about putting "average" as opposed to " a few extra" because of responses, and can explain it in detail with their potential date later. Some people are exactly average. I think us as men don't/ can't understand how hard it is for women to maybe lose the weight put on during a pregnancy, becasue we can in no way, relate to that. Women bust their ass's to drop that, and I think its for multiple reasons, but society has made us so self-conscious about how we look, that we all atempt to achieve either the Mr. Atlus body, or the Jessica Alba body.
Sometime, not always, but sometimes, that perfect body person gets alot of attention too. And they LIKE it!!!!! Give me someone "average" who isn't vain, over the little petite self-centerd model-wanna-be anyday!!!! Now ,again, not saying all are like that either. Most people I know call me "stocky" built, but no option for that one.
Either way, be comfy with who you are, and if you like how you look, run with it!! Confidence is sexy anyway...
Just my .02,

Average? With a butt like a bear? Head shots can be very misleading because faces can be beautiful or handsome but head photos can often hide disappointment.
Ya know what? I can seriously relate and coincide to this, but the higher self makes me feel selfish and unenlightened for it. For the true beauty is within.
No argument, point taken, but to what level of seriousness are we?
Think about it.
I have been surprised by the 2 ppl i've met here, and been intimate with. Nothing like their photos. One was absolutely beautiful in looks, but when we met, she was a big girl below the waist. Didn't make a difference, and it was mind blowing for both of us!!
The other was stunningly gorgeous, and made me part of her family and kid(s). Very successful and focused. The sex was mind blowing too!!
I'd have to confess, the intimacy and heart and soul with the first mentioned was more sincere and without motive of either.
BTW, the 1st mentioned was a gusher, and I found out by surprise, NOT through oral, and I LOVED IT!!!
