| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/9/2005 3:53:40 AM | Please, please, please, never forget to post things in the forums that completely contradicts what is in your profile. No one ever looks at your profile when in the forums. After all, the profiles and forums are two completely different things, right?

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/9/2005 4:41:22 AM | Great thread! Not sure what # we're on! :-)
Fellas, always write to women who have profiles contradictory your own your profile. i.e. You want long-term, children, slim/slender, local only, etc. but be sure to e-mail those who are NOT seeking same. Who knows, maybe you can change her mind or catch her on a desperate day!!
Post profile pictures showing you in miniature against a humongous backdrop of fun foreign places. At that distance, maybe you really DO look like (insert name of famous celebrity whom you insist you resemble)!
Have only group shots on your profile so that she can guess which one is you, which she will undoubtedly choose your hot friend directly to your left and could care less which guy in the photo was you.
Post show-off pics of you and your car(s), house, etc. and be sure to put in your profile "no golddiggers".

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/9/2005 5:18:45 AM | #100) Parents: Please state the obvious about having parental responsibilities. Be as antagonistic as possible. Make sure to go overboard when you let potentials dates know that your kids come first always, that they are your sole universe and that you have a busy, busy life. Every self sacrificing person with low self esteem wants to know that they will always be second and slotted into whatever minute of your busy schedule you can make available for them. Make sure you weed out the well adjusted dates who might have a need or two of their own.
Bonus points if you state that you'll dump a love interest like a hot potato if your kids don't like them.

Or for the chicks, be sure to give yourself a nic like "SweetSultryLilKitty" lest the guys might not know you're sexy too!

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/9/2005 12:34:49 PM | Make sure to change your profile daily from looking for friends to long term back to friends to email/talk back to long term along with changing the profile title to suit your mood..

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/9/2005 3:30:50 PM | step one million and two) ask for pen pals and write 1 sentence answers to long letters , then admit that the profile was written for you by your son/daughter/kid and you can't type or figure out how tto use the computer without her/him. Rally makes for great conversation!
I'll guess I'll have to put the pink bra picure back up so I can follow that step. Sure did get me a few letters, thos !!!

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/12/2005 5:17:13 AM | ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS IM people before you even send an email. Especially right now while the pic isn't working most of the time....we loved being IM'd by complete strangers and we have nothing better to do than to chat to people with no pic and almost nothing written in their profiles!!!

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/16/2005 6:47:15 AM | | here's one ,deceive people about how much you weigh.dont get me wrong mostly what i like is eyes ,and sexapeal is kinda an attitude. not so much a look.but what your doing when you deceive someone is ruining the sexapeal, not to mention showing you not always going to be truthful from the start.i don't know about everyone else but those are my most important qualities i seek.better to be upfront with that,im not always attracted to who i meet but at least there's a chance if your upfront, not upfront no chance. | |

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/16/2005 7:01:53 AM | Always remember to write your profile as one long sentence omitting any use of puctuation or showing any sense of grammar and make sure you dont use paragraphs to break down the information into a readable format then go on extensively about how educated you are yet somehow managed to do that without ever having learned how to write in any comprehensible form and describe yourself in terms of characterstics that are common to everyboy and keep going with the run-on sentence until the person finally stops reading and moves onto another profile....blah blah blah blah | |

| New Fish, Please Read Posted: 12/16/2005 8:43:20 AM | WOW! Have I been soooooooo guilty of all 1004 of these hot tips. So naive even after just 2weeks on POF. Hmmm. So, what's the solution? Just show hot pics because guys don't really don't read the profiles anyway? Or, just play on the forums and realize that in this cyber world we so willingly place ourselves, nothing is real anyway? | |

"Dinner, may be a walk in the park" - works especially well in Northern Canada, at - 39 windchill. Also "Walk on the beach" is very attractive option unders same weather conditions and the fact there is not a tiny pond for miles.
Never be original and they all will be eager to meet you!

The best suggestion I can give to new fish is to skip the heartbreak, lies and misconceptions of cyber dating and just move right into the forums.....
Ex-princess....those of us in Northern Canada can 'Walk on Water'!
