Jazzthief (relating to your post on the previous page)^^^First of all youre saying in your profile youre looking for an intimate encounter whilst bending over wearing a french maids outfit.Does it really come as a shock to you that you're receiving emails that havent been spell checked or proof read?LOL Since youre busy cracking on other peoples spelling errors.....its "Kindergarten" Normally I would never pick on anyone for spelling errors or typos.I have better things to do with my time then be a perfectionist:)I just find it hilarious how quick some other people are to judge when they make the same mistakes themselves.I also find it mean to call someone stupid based on a few typing errors. You've GOT to be kidding me!Im so sick of the "spelling and punctuation mistake threads"Live and let live

Not spell checking or proof reading is one thing but not being able to string a sentence together and be coherent is another.

And one's appearence should not dictate the types of emails or whatever they get. If that were the case, I'm guessing you must get tons of emails from overweight truckers, trailer-trash and fat dudes?

Again Kat...I wasn't trying to offend anyone...just merely stating that if people are looking to meet and interact with others on this site, that they may increase their profile "value" by spending a bit of time proofing what they write. Thanks for the opinions everyone!

^^^My comment wasnt aimed at you:)It was directed at Jazzthief^^^I didnt know sentences start with "and.".... I am very nicely saying that its not very nice of you to call people stupid and judge them based on their grammar and typing skills.I see no need for personal attacks...Youre going after truck drivers now?Whats wrong with being overweight, living in a trailer or anything else you slammed?Obviously this perfectionism and need to judge others goes way beyond spelling with you.Have you ever heard of the term oxymoron?...Heres a shovel....Its not worth my time:)

If you studied past grade 1 , you can start a setence with "and"... grade school teachers just discourage it to keep students from creating setence fragments. And being overweight is poor for your health. But, BACK ON TOPIC,

I think grammar and spelling is a highly appropriate screening method given all the mail a woman would get on a dating site. Why would you bother giving someone the time of day if you honestly cannot understand his/her writing?

I have to agree with you there... Bad spelling in a letter kind of makes me think that when we meet there might also be a few teeth missing, even though I know that's a false stereotype...

(In reference to your post slamming the following)Its called being open minded.I would give truck drivers, people living in trailers, overweight individuals, and people with grammar and sentence structure issues the time of day.Just because someone doesnt have the best grasp on typing skills or the mastery of the English language that certain others do ,it doesnt mean they"arent worth my time"Its quite possible that same individual has a beautiful heart, emotional intelligence,or a myriad of other amazing qualities.I didnt "judge you" before to be mean.I did it to give you a taste of your own medicine.......sigh....forget it:P

All spelling, grammar and punctuation NAZIS should be SHOT on site!

Must of the people who built this great country, America-couldn't spell at all. For those who spell very well and who judge others who don't..........may you get bit by a mosquito and contact encyphelitus. That should humble their arrogant snobby asses.

You need glasses.

What about a bad reader..one who don't catch mistakes? An "a" also needed to go between the m and y too....but you missed that....you're not as good as you think you are.

I don't teach first grade anymore, but I have in the past. In all the grades I have taught, beginning a sentence with "and" is just not allowed.

Now let's face it--forum posting and instant messaging is a much more casual form of communication. Spelling and grammar issues don't scream so loudly, and we must remember that typos account for a lot of the errors. Since for most of us, we think much faster than our fingers move on the keyboard--I often overlook the occasional error, including my own.

Now, a profile is a totally different matter. In my opinion, when putting yourself out there for the masses, you should create a profile that is comprehensible at the very least. The same goes for an initial email contact. Once communication has begun, and becomes more casual, then there is not as much need to check for the occasional error.

Well at least the stupid people will date the stupid people on this site so that they won't infect the smart people and they can breed amongst themselves.

to financeman - just one tip, if your going to complain about girls not knowing how to spell, you might want to use spell check yourself.

Hey Chevy Girl...thanks for the tip - and I will return the gesture - if YOU are going to make comments, perhaps you should read the responses...the mistakes were intentional! I was hoping to see how closely people read these things...and now I know! Thanks!

Is there a spell check when you post a thread in the forums? I never saw one. Any suggestions would be great. Typos should be expected - unless someone is absolutely 100% accurate all the time!! Yeah - Eye no that I mayk mistakyes one in a wile!!!!

DID NOT spell check this, so please refrain from picking out a typo!!
