| Are there any guys out there who have been circumcized... Posted: 1/25/2006 3:14:32 PM | I agree with paleone,
not for just medical reasons because you do have to keep it clean and stuff, but growing up (being circumsized) I had no problems, My best friend on the other hand....he had problems because his family is very catholic...and he got sh!t on so bad during the young years....Gym class....you know what i'm talking about, name calling in the halls, it's rough. Of course we did get into a hell of a lot of good fights over it. some upper classman would yell something, and we would be all over them.
plus, you last a whole lot longer due to the fact that you are not that sensitive, but still a hell of a lot. You don't have to peel your skin back every time you need to take a leak, it makes it look longer(BONUS), and it looks a hell of a lot better
I think anyways | |

Rather, the true circumcision in spirit has become profitable in every respect." Jesus from The Gospel Of Thomas

| Are there any guys out there who have been circumcized... Posted: 1/25/2006 5:04:09 PM | ok .......deep breath.............I was sooooooooooooooooo gonna stay outta this one, but I can't.
This is not an attack on anyone who has posted their preferences on here.
When I became pregnant with my girls, I didn't know what I was having - and the topic of circs came up and it was an automatic no with myself and my ex simply because he was not.
Then I took nursing.
And had to be in on a circ while I was a student. I fought my instructor on this. No luck.
Let me tell you, it is THE most barbaric procedure I have ever witnessed. Baby's are NOT supposed to cry real tears until they are 3 months old, this one, barely three DAYS old was trembling and crying real tears...all I could do was stroke his forehead and whisper soothingly in his ear and he was STRAPPED to a body board so he wouldn't move. Needless to say, I was crying with this poor little babe as the doc cut away his SKIN.
To me, there MUST be a REASON they are trying to make circs ILLEGAL here in the Hat. When I was taking nursing in Manitoba, there was only a handfull of docs left that preformed it, and the others were trying to make it illegal there as well.
I can understand later on, down the road, if there is problems, THEN I can understand it being done.
You see, with this poor babe, they used NOTHING to freeze his penis. Hours later, a grown man at age 43 was getting circ'd as well -- he was put UNDER for the procedure! I understand that some docs use a topical cream before they circ - but this DOES NOT freeze the inner nerves in the skin that is being CUT AWAY FROM HIS BODY!
k....deep breath, that is all. Carry on.
edit -- yes there can be complications from not being circ'd - but I know of one now deceased young man whose parents decided to circ him....complications arouse during the procedure and as a result was mentally and physically disabled for the REST of his life and died at the young age of 21....he would have been totally normal had his parents NOT decided to circ him. I am just saying "things happen" - but WHY put a little babe through this at such a young age?? That little boy who I was with, will never remember the procedure, but I sure as hell will.

A babe has a circ..."give him tylenol" -- now really, would they tell a grown man who had just had part of his c0ck cut off to "take tylenol"? not the regular strength they give to babes, I can tell you that much!

| Are there any guys out there who have been circumcized... Posted: 1/25/2006 5:40:05 PM | I got it done three ago (19) and it hurt like hell for about a week. The head is so sensitive and painful it's nerve wrecking. The swelling and stitches falling out don't help either. After that it is awesome as sex is much better in my opinion. You will receive 10 times as many blowjobs too. | |

The disagreement is not between specialist and generalist, but between circumcised doctors and uncircumcised doctors, and between women doctors who prefer the circumcised penis to women doctors who prefer the "natural penis." No help there.

| Are there any guys out there who have been circumcized... Posted: 1/26/2006 11:49:49 AM | After dealing with this topic on another thread and on this one, after thinking about this topic more than I want to lately, I am going to conclude this:
I WANT EVERYONE'S PP TO LOOK LIKE MINE AND I AM WILLING TO SLASH AND BURN AND CUT UNTIL IT'S DONE. THAT'S AESTHETICS OF BLOWJOBS IN AMERICA.
I am going to reveal too much information here, but what the hell. I am not saying that I want to be thought of as a final authority on this matter but I am a doctor who is now studying law. I have performed hundreds of circumcisions on male infants. As a first year resident (intern in family medicine) I was the only one in a town of 250 doctors who decided to use local anesthesia. They all said, "No, you will cause a complication of some sort!" But I went out on a limb and did it anyway. I could tell the difference. Sometimes the baby would not even cry when the wheel of the Gomco (pinching device) was clamped down. Eventually a pediatrician joined us who also used it. Studies have since shown that cortisol levels and other stress hormones go up, there is poor feeding sometimes afterward, etc when anesthesia is not used. Now everyone uses it, but not well.
They all said, "they don't feel it like we would." Bullshit. I could tell by the change in tone of the crying which turned to a scream when the foreskin was pinched, (or tied off in the supposed more "humane" one that uses the plastic bell that later falls off).
Adult circs are less of a problem. I assisted a urologist in doing a male circ in the office. He was not strapped down. He had versed as a tranquilizer and we did a ring block with local anesthesia and then trimmed and sewed on him while he laughed and joked with us. We had to wipe off the built up "smegma" like it was cottage cheese. Disgusting even to me as a doctor.
Babies after six months are put under general anesthesia to get it done. This is why it is a bother. General anesthesia carries some risk. But the fact that they put them under tells you something. Why would we do it on a newborn without anesthesia yet we would do it on a six month old under general anesthesia? Theories about newborns not feeling pain? Again I say, bullshit.
I have two grandsons. The first one I and my wife circed at home using local anesthesia and a Gomco. I did not "over circumcise", left enough skin that he had some choice. The second grandson I did not, because my daughter did not want it. The boys do not think anything about it when they see each other. The one whom I did not has already learned at 5 to pull the skin back and wash himself.
As I have said on another thread, the worst thing is doctors who get too exuberant and pull too much skin into the hacking or pinching device and end up taking 50% or more of the very elastic skin off of the penile shaft. Many doctors do believe that this overdoing it can cut down on the ability some day to enjoy sex.
So Mom's all I'm saying is forget "aesthetics" of your future blow jobs and do the right thing. Circs are not necessary. IF they in the infinitesimally number that do become necessary, they can be done later.
And about a child having trouble with infections. Tiny number have bladder infection one time. This is a bother because you have to work up a one time infection in a boy because you fear internal kidney problems. Most of these workups in uncirced boys is negative. It's just a bother for the insurance company or whoever is paying for it and the doctor who has to make sure he doesn't miss a kidney killing internal problem.
I don't understand any other type of "infection." You are talking mainly about inflammation of some kind, local and therefore minor, such as yeast, or irritation from urine. This can be prevented by soap and water. That's about all I have to say for right now, the only reason I say this is because I am as much of an "expert" as about anybody. Read the material on these two threads and you will be a bigger expert than me.
ABOUT "IT'S IMPORTANT TO LOOK LIKE DAD." It's probably more important to look like the other boys in the locker room. Four circumcised boys will make fun of the one that is not. Four uncircumcised boys may convince the one that is circumcised that there is something wrong with his penis. These things can cause some psychic pain to 14 and 15 and 16 year olds who are uncertain about sexuality anyway, at a time when it is seriously knocking at their doors. Girls probably understand because of their breasts and pubic hair, but are lucky to have genitals that are pretty uniform by comparison.
I believe the obsession about this in the U.S. is because of the popularity of oral sex, which was not always so, especially when they only bathed twice a year. I have examined thousands upon thousands of people, and the incidence of shaved and waxed perineums has been on the rise since I first started practicing.
That may explain some of this obsession.
Otherwise, I do believe that EVERYONE WANTS ALL PP'S TO LOOK LIKE THEIRS, AND THAT IS NOT POSSIBLE.

| Are there any guys out there who have been circumcized... Posted: 1/26/2006 12:10:44 PM | | Had two guys get it done before we were shipped out to Desert Storm, The military did the procedure, when i asked them why? they were worried about water bering availible and for keeping clean easier, they said the procedure was not that uncomfortble, and when asked when we got home, They said it did make sex much better | |

| Are there any guys out there who have been circumcized... Posted: 1/26/2006 12:23:09 PM | To all the women who claim that male circumcision is totally different from female circumcision:
Both involve taking a knife, baring someones genitals and cutting pieces off of them. How much more similar could they possibly be? It's mutilation, plain and simple, and no amount of rationalization is going to change that. Would you consider burning your infant son with a cigarette to be ok? It hurts less and is less damaging, after all.
If you think it's no big deal, why don't you take the knife to your kid and watch the blood spurt and hear them scream? Routine procedure my ass... hundred years from now, people will look back on the barbarism of it with the same shock that we feel when hearing about female circumcision in other cultures.
