A Muslim dies ...goes to Heaven...when he announces his religion he is told to go to door #12 but be very quiet when he goes by door #9
Then a Jew arrives in Heaven and is told to go to door #15 but be very quiet when going by door #9
When the Pagan arrives and gets her door number, she questions why she has to be quiet going by door #9.
The Gate keepers response is....well you see that's where the Christians are, and they think they are the only ones here. | |

Now with the complexity of life came other personifacations: Destiny, Dream, Desire, Dispare, Delight/Delirium, Destruction
Actualy Destiny came first.
Man was born (how is never answered) and lived his life, during life he wondered what lay ahead of him? In doing so he began to gain a sense of his own destiny, that certain things would eventualy happen to him. Thus came the reaisation of death. He began to wonder if death could ever be avoided and dreamed of a world in which it was posible to live forever.
From dreams is born the understanding of the phisical world and so comes the knowledge of destruction. Despair and Desire, the twin sister/brothers/its are born together, since to desire something by nature means that it is unobtainable, and thus despair was born when people desired peace from destruction.
And finaly came delight, delght in the knowldge that there were worlds of posabilities contained n the realms of the mind. Delight in the beuty at the wordl around, so fragile and fleeting. nd then delight, became delirium, the escape from the world of pain into pure blis. | |

I thought - after reading a number of additions to the thread - if there's gonna be a wee bit o' this...  an a bit o' that...  mixed in wi' loadsa that...  . A whole loada that...  (and it doesn't matter to me).. with just a smattering o'  - then we're in business....
Am in... only when you add a bit more o' that...  ....

Posted: 12/14/2005 6:53:57 PM | Just so we are all clear, "Peace on earth, goodwill towards men/women" has been around for many many millennia. I'm not doing something new, just trying to make a point about how the good stuff in religion should be getting emphasized, and the factionalization of faith should not be the case. My head isn't so big that I think I can change the world overnight (I forsee weeks before I could make headway  ). As for God's influence, I really do believe that the world as I understand it is the one He/She/Everything would want, to the core of my being. In such a way, God is acting through all of us who seek understanding and peace.
If starting a Church of Honor and Genius really would bring about that change, I would make it my lifes work. Sadly, there are too many people who believe as Christian Guy do, which is that there is no religion that deserves the respect his does. But for those of us who are CoHG's, we'll pursue our agenda in spite of them. Maybe a thousand years from now, our texts will have become the basis for world peace.
Or at least some really good parties.

I noticed that the Cattle Prod of Peace and Harmony makes less sense now that all of christian guy's posts got deleted. Not that I mind. I wonder if I can become a moderator...
