Well, I am not sure but this I have discovered. We pride ourselves as having become modern day people, except when it comes to the battles of the sexes. As a woman, I know this for a fact: If she askes a guy out, she is either desperate or a slut. If she is attracted to a man and goes to bed with him on the first date (Gasp!!), she is common lowlife trash who the man has no respect for (yet it took two to tangle, but that doesn't matter, now does it?) and never could. As a woman, I am flattered when a man askes me out and behaves as a Gentleman. As for who wrote the rules, we know the majority of them have come the Victorian Era, hence a woman must be virgin and passive. The man must be the first to make the moves. Even in Biblical times, it was decided that Men ruled. So you can thank our Forefathers. I just wish we could all say, "Hey, you are cute, let's go out sometime." Hope this helps. Kasey
You hit it on the nailhead, right there! I mentioned in a previous thread... its INSTINCT for the female to act first, but because in cave days etc. men were generally the rulemakers of the clans, they were able to come up with rediculous ideals that eventually became law, sort of. So, right now we're sort of in the middle.
You want to get a man's attention, or signal a true-to-the-heart interest, favorite him. If he responds positively, more power to ya! If not, moove alooung ma'am.
