Guilty as charged- i seldom read rules. Must be that rebellious streak in me. It's been there since i was a kid. No hope for me. :-)

As for toys of the '60s, I wouldn't have minded the Apollo 11 lunar module...attached to the rocket booster...and riding shotgun with Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins. Always did like to travel! :-)

[This would be a good time to have a look/Ticket]

Weebles wobble but they don't fall down. Oh, yeah- my sisters had them. :-)

I always wanted a Lite Brite as a kid, but never got one, lol!

Don't know the name of the toy, but one of my faves was a skipping toy that went around one ankle & you had to jump over

Hula Hoops, nobody's mentioned hula hoops!

Magic Carpets - I recall the first year these came out! previously my brother & I had metal tobaggans which really hurt when they come sliding into you! lol!

lawn darts - my brother had a set of these & I still shake my head over whoever thought these would be a good toy for a kid!

cap guns

what about the metal roller skates that fit over top of sneakers & had to be tightened with a key? I had a friendwith a front porch perfect for skating on!

sticker collecting was huge when I was young - esepcially "smelly" stickers & puffy ones

Fun thread!

i would tear my legs up with that thing, i do believe the thing attatched to it was rubber like and the thing that you jumped over was huge, and you had to put a lot of energy in not getting caught up and falling ...

what about pogo sticks

and i had that hula hoop and my eldest sister was always champ of the neighborhood where i could never swivel right, and i still cant do it...pfffffttt

cap guns, brothers and friends had those, didnt let me play 'cause the noise was to loud and i got chased alot

Blue I would have shared my Lite Bright, it was awesome ...

I use to collect the cards that had the garage or they were ugly cards with nasty things on them and the worse you had the cooler you were ... you got that nasty bubble gum in them the one that tasted like stick ...

i collected baseball cards too, still have mine ... nephews found some and traded them, lost a few great ones ....

My jumping thingy had a lemon on the end & we sang Oranges & Lemons as we played :)

Double-dutch skipping (funny how rarely I see skipping ropes in the playgrounds these days!)

How could I forget the pogo stick, my goodness!

Scooters - the *first* time they came out

Silly putty!

Boy Spirited Wolf, it sounds like we would have had a blast hanging out, lol! Are you thinking of the garbage pail kid cards perhaps? I never had any of those, but friends did - that would have been around gr 4 or 5 for me I think.

What about friendship pins .... it was a game to see who had the most on their treetorn sneakers at one point, heehee!

no how about skateboards, the first ones, that many made themselves with old skates and board lol ...

and i remember the skates, i hurt myself and never wore them again, they also use to get hung up around my ankle, so uncoordinated back then lol

noooo how about patches lol sew them on all over the place, on but butt was the cooliest place to have kiss me one LOL ...

gee bunny think we telling our age lol ....

Late 60's early 70's had this clock by Fisher Price that looked like a school how to learn to tell time on and played a lil song with it...use to love it!!

In the early 80's Colleco Vision came out with the first hand held video games and always wanted the football and baseball ones...remember getting caught in class playing them.

I remember seeing the first Baby Alive Doll and had to have it...named her Amy and she was my fav! Til some kid bashed her head in :(

Then Slime came out and had to have the slime with the worms in it...opened it and the worms didn't move like in the commercials...I was bummed!

Back in the day Saturdays nites were for popcorn and board games...my dad and I would play racko for hrs on end...then scrabble, monopoly, uno etc.

Now they came out with this game controller that 12000 games are on in one lil disk...games all the way back to 1981! My kids are playing super mario bros, paper boy, defender, a old pool game called Lunar Ball, pac man...never would I guess when I was young I'd be teaching these games and cheats to my kids!!

evil kanevil stunt bike!! now that was some fun!! who ever posted that one.. good call.

I also liked the bionic man toys a lot.

tcr's total control racing. the racing cars that could change lanes... oh the accidents that caused and the oww's and ahhh's..

Also hot wheels with the fat track and the cars you could juice up with the goose pack.. they had a little place to charge them up and they would run for like a min.. before you had to recharge them.

tin can ally..

chutes away.. you had to peek through a sight and drop little plastic parachutes in to holes for points.. good game.

rebound. with the marbels with little plastic sleves on them and you shoot them down the board and the bounce off rubber bands and shoot down the other side and you have to stop on a point mark.. kind of like curling or shuffle board.

crossfire... 4 guns everyone shooting little metal balls trying to knock eachother game piece off the edge in to the cup.. what a blast.. till you finger gave out from pulling the trigger.

I had all the cool action sets from popular TV shows...Knight Rider, The Fall Guy, The A-Team, Dukes of Hazzard, Magnum, P.I., CHiP's. Wish I still had them with all the re-make movies coming out!
