appearance - I think that appearance is the first thing that affects how people relate to each other. Yes, it might be shallow, but it's true.
sense of humor - can overcome almost any other hurdles that may be in your way. People go out of their way to be with others that can make them laugh.
intelligence - men want a woman that is smart, but not smarter than them. Or, at least, doesn't ACT smarter than them.
dependence - I think most men like the idea of being the "knight in shining armor" and having a woman that "needs" them.
some similar interests - I put this in here because I had to. I think it's over-rated though. It's nice, but some guys don't really want their woman to be interested in everything they do, or like.
domestic abilities - Honestly, I think that ANYONE (male or female) would LOVE to have a mate who knows how to cook, vaccuum, do the dishes, etc.
sex - self-explanatory. | |

As far as I'm concerned, I just want a chick that won't measure me to her own dreamy, impossible-to-attain expectations. You know, we all have an ideal, but I discovered that many people meet someone, then compare that person to their own ideal... and then that's when they become disappointed. I asked my girl friends what it was they wanted in a guy. They all answered: ''Well... He'd have to be tall, handsome, funny, yet serious and caring... He should be well off without being a total capitalist. He should understand my needs and care for me, and when I feel like flirting other guys, he would have to understand. Of course, he has to be loyal to me and give me massages when I have my period. Finally, he would have to do the laundry, cook for me, buy me lots of crap, and leave me alone when I want to be alone.'' You see, this makes no sense cuz these girls aren't being realistic. So my point is, I want a girl who won't go through this process of analyzing me vs her dream man, and just accept that we all have to work hard to make a dream come true. And it wouldn't hurt if she gave ME a massage whenever I have a hard day at work, she could cook for me too once in a while... and you know what, nothing says ''I love you'' like a flower. Just one d*mn flower. It's not gay, it's awesome!! yeah, I'm probably alone on that one, but hey, I'm the last of the romantics in my neck of the woods. | |

Research shows that many men are attracted to the physical for initial attraction. Not as much for women. They tend to be more attracted to Alpha characteristics, and how a man makes them feel. | |

I like a woman who has intelligence, someone whom I can discuss current events with, or other matters of mutual interest. Someone who's got a good sense of humor, be it sarcastic, witty, or whatever. I like to laugh a lot at life, and she should too.
Also, she should understand that a relationship is full of give and take, and spontaniety can sometimes be the order of the day. I like to be suprised and so should she.

Posted: 1/9/2005 12:26:52 PM | Eyes that have the sparkle of pure enjoyment from life, and the depth to show they've lived it. I'll avoid the glossy innocent eyes. Rather boring, those ones.
But, that not what people really wish to hear. What you're really likely digging for is a specific physical attribute that MY eyes are drawn to. The bum.
Face it, if the bum is nice then they aren't going to fall far behind in a hike, spend years on a couch, or generally not care so much for themselves. THe bum, on women, is the most difficult thing to keep fit. I firm buttock represents the abdomen, AND the legs. The rule of thumb is that a good bum develops fine, sturdy (often sleek) sexy legs and the abdomen tends to follow in kind. | |

That is most likely due to those attributes being covered, quite well, by clothing on those first meetings. Then again...I'm pretty decent at the adjectives, and I can not think of any way to even approach those body parts to come across complimentary. | |

I have a subscription to Elle Girl for the latest styles and trends, the articles are a blast to read. Plus I like to know what new products are available. I almost forgot, I was getting Cosmo as well for a time LOL, that was another good one. | |

In regard to your question, what any person looks for in a mate is subjective.
I seek peace. It may seem a simple answer, you have not seen the questionnaire!
Peace comes from the ability to look into someones eyes and see comfort, trust, sincerity. The love you feel was meant for you, and no other. A feeling that there is no shame. There is no pressure. Everything you choose to do for this love is done out of love, not of pressure to grant accommodations, just to win acceptance. You are not "under the gun" to build the "house of love" for her. Instead, she picks up the hammer and nails and gives you the saw and says, "let's get to work, honey."
Once in a great while, I see those eyes... but the answer remains if those eyes will see me. | |
