Posted: 12/8/2006 1:56:09 PM | i disagree, I have dated many much taller ladies. I am 5'9" the tallest lady i have dated was 6'4" and around 6'8" when wearing shoes. Some small minded individuals do pass judgement, only because they have no concept around the height issue. To conclude you do not have to be of a certain ilk to be attrated to taller women. In my opinion we are all the same just different shapes and sizes.
GIVE ME A TALLER WOMAN ANYTIME.

Posted: 12/10/2006 12:10:28 PM | It's funny you should pose this question. I'm short and I like tall guys...lol My ex husband was 6'6" and towered over me. His mother, however, didn't really like me. And she actually told me that short girls like me should stick to short guys. Because she said, that it wasn't fair to the tall girls. And as you could imagine she was extremely tall as well.
Needless to say, he is an EX husband. And his mother really didn't like me, she actually wore a white dress to my wedding with god awful HOT PINK heals. geeshhhh... lol
I personally think that tall guys like shorter women, because it makes them feel big an masculine. And in turn I like taller guys cuz it makes me feel smaller :P. It's a parodox I tell ya.

I think it's just personal preference.......everyone has their thing that they like...I've dated taller guys and shorter guys they all liked Me cause of who I was I assume..... not specifically My height..... but I do find that alot of guys nowadays love for their woman to be taller.... examples in celebs like nicole/tom, katie/tom..... ok maybe just tom..... but guys love tall long legged girls... now the only problem for Me is the heels thing.... most people seem to think I'm about 6 foot even though I'm only about 5'10 but I have lots of pairs of heels higher than 2 inches which would put Me 6' or taller wearing them
I have a few 7" heels and wearing them with a guy 5'6" or 5'7" just kinda makes Me feel ridiculous......
that being said I'm fine with wearing different shoes most of the time and or going barefoot

I had a date on the weekend accompany Me to a party on the weekend and all my girlfriends mentioned how funny we looked standing together because he was so much shorter than Me...(I was wearing 2 inch heels and he was 5'7") but in the end they all just talked about how sweet he was so it really only matters how tall/short your date is if you let it | |

i had to jump in on this one.. i was always the tallest in the class, now am 5'7' andwas turned DOWN for modeling as being 'too short'. ha. also, wanted to be petite as a kid, of course. Actually, for some of us, tall women aren't as desireable. It has nothing to do with being scared of them. Once they start to get into the 5'10 and above range they actually start to seem a bit "freak like" to me. Just a personal preference of course. | |

They do but they cant talk about thier tastes in "frreak" women be they tall, midgets, fat, or muscular.

I dont mind a slighty thin man over 6'0 feet...but a man shorter than I would for sure have to be on the buffer side.

It takes a special kind of guy who's confident enough to approach a tall girl.
Just for the record my last two girlfriends were around 6' (2" taller than me). I have to say I think I like tall girls. I like it when a girl is confident, strong and maybe a little intimidating is attractive. But I wouldn't be surprised if some men are more comfortable with a woman who they are physically superior to. What attracted me to tall girls I think is that they break that mould - that girls should be subordinate and controllable, the weaker sex. I think thats something that patriarchical society has created. I hate that bullshit and tall/strong/confident girls are way more attractive for that reason.
However, I've also been rejected by taller girls, some even say its because of my height! One girl even confided in me why - she was self-conscious about her body and wanted a big strong guy, presumably to make her body not feel so big. So not all tall girls are that confident it turns out.
SweetPea's comment is somewhat contradictory in my opinion. She points out that guys are attracted to tall girls but don't feel confident enough to approach them. Well don't complain that you're not liked. Why don't you approach some shorter guys and break the ice and make them feel comfortable! Why do men have to be predators all the time? What's wrong with being unconfident? Does it not fit your idea of the man being in control or something? | |
